Horrible experience. I went to the Ecksand store 2 weeks ago to shop for an engagement ring with my partner. I spent an hour with an associate describing exactly what I was looking for for a custom engagement ring. She took down my contact information and told me that she will send me an email with some quotes within 2 days. 10 days later and I haven't received any information. I called the store 4 days ago to explain the situation to another associate. She asked me to describe what I wanted all over again and promised to follow up as soon as possible. Still did not get a follow up. I called again today and had to explain my requirements for a ring a third time to another associate! It's not acceptable that I have to run after them to spend money on an engagement ring. I do not recommend.

Bijoux Majesty helped my husband create the most beautiful engagement ring for me. My ring is elegant and I couldn't ask for a better one. When it came time to choosing our wedding bands they matched my bands together flawlessly. For my husband they had SO many options! For free they engraved our wedding anniversary inside the bands as well. In terms of care for the rings, we live in Ottawa but Bijoux Majesty pays for secure shipping and insurance for the rings and maintains them FOR FREE!! In Ottawa they charge everywhere, even if you bought it there.

The diamond/ring buying experience from Ryan at Bijoux Majesty was excellent. Ryan made sure that I got the ring I wanted at a price I felt comfortable paying. And most importantly, my wife loved it. Why I only rated 4 stars instead of 5, is because of the after purchase service. I'm not from Montreal so when I bought the ring I was promised that once a year I could ship the ring to Montreal to be inspected, cleaned and rhodium plated free of charge. The second year when it was time to ship the ring, Bijoux said that I would have to pay. In the third year, again they tried to make me pay, but this time I contacted Ryan directly, explained that the free shipping/servicing is part of the reason I bought the ring from Bijoux, and he sorted things out for me. Apparently there was a change in their policy. I hope I won't have the same hassle every year and they live up to their promise. If so, I would gladly rate Bijoux Majesty and Ryan specifically, 5 stars!!

Bought a ring here around 4 months ago. One of the 4 ties of the ring breaks. My gf bring the ring, they take it and repair it. After repairing it they ask for a fees of 20$ and contest the fact that we are for nothing into the break, which they can't prove. We don't do any extreme sport and it was just probably a problem of finition covered by warranty. The person at the front apologies and my gf leave with the ring. Later, the owner call us, accuses us of having break the ring, that it is impossible that it broke by itself and refuse to be responsible for the warranty. I told her about legal warranty and she kept being disrespectful without letting us talk. We hanged up. So for refusing to perform a simple warranty or a ring, you lost two customers and earn a bad review on google. Also, if I had see before that the only positive review were posted by local guides, I would not have bought the ring there. One star however for offering to lift up taxes and defrauding the government.

Went there to have a quick fix on a bracelet. First of all, it took forever to get the bracelet back. Second, it was so expensive and the repair did not last. I went to a second jewelry shop to get it fixed and the owner did it almost on the spot and her fees was significantly cheaper.

Been at this location twice recently. First, on Black Friday... yes it was crazy busy and they need to have a staff member individually assist each customer so allowances need to be made for extreme conditions. Some staff seemed a little undertrained and they were struggling to keep two payment pads operational with + clerks needing them simultaneously. Today, on December 30, the store was still pretty busy, but manageable. I was shopping with two friendly teens with holiday money to spend. We unfortunately were given to an oddly surly clerk who seemed begrudging to help the girls at the ring counter. One purchased a ring, and the clerk just handed it to her like "here, you can leave now," no box, bag or paper receipt. She also made odd comments on my daughter's new ring that was a little loose that afternoon (she carries water weight up and down in her fingers)... "your ring is too big!" Yes, today it was a little loose. She persisted as if we had done something wrong to let her wear it, but I'm not sure what we were supposed to do given we weren't there to exchange it, had no receipt, and my kid had been wearing it for 6 days, so I'm not going to return a used ring nor did I ask to. The girls left the store not happy about their purchases but wondering why the clerk seemed offended by their existence. Other clerk who rang up my kid's charm was fine and appropriate.

The worst Pandora staff service ever. We were greeted by Audrey and when we told her that we needed to return an item, she completely switched from a smile to grudge face. They told us that they wont return anything purchased from another store and when we asked further questions, she turned away without responding to us and asked her co-worker to go talk to us. That being said, their invoice had no details about returning to the same store location, it was the brochure that was presented to us that had these details. Had they put it on the invoice where the return policy is incompletely stated, it would saved me an extra trip to the store. As a returning customer, this has happened twice to me (once about return and once about a repair) I dont think I would be returning to Pandora for this reason.

This place is very spacious and has a beautiful setting, but the customer service is not on the same level. One of the saleswomen has proven to be not fond of her job. As her coworker was busy with other customers, she did not come to help me when I clearly was looking for something and when i asked her where a certain bracelet was, she pointed me a display and said "it's over there". After I went to have a look at it, i came back to ask her if she could show it to me physically so I could see how it looked on me and she unpleasantly looked at me as if I was bothering her. And so, she got to a drawer, opened it and literally sat on the ground, taking her time to look for the bracelet, throwing back into the cupboard the other items. She clearly didn't think I was watching her and so, when she saw me looking at her, she got up and asked her busy coworker where the bracelet was, to which her coworker said the same cupboard she was looking into. Instead of taking a second look, she came up to me and said "we don't have it anymore. you can go to place montreal trust, they have it.'' I have asked for other questions after, but she didn't show any interest in helping me, answering me with very rude responses. I should have said something about it, but i did not want to do it in front of the other customers. I am very disappointed and irritated at this customer service.

I wish there were more stars to reflect the amazing quality and customer service of this fine jeweler. We became acquainted with Joaillerie Jules Perrier a numb of years ago when we literally stumbled across their shop in the old market section of Montreal. I purchased a pair of earrings that I wear all the time. When my engagement ring stone was lost from the solitaire setting, we began searching for the perfect wedding ring and ended up back at Jules Perrier. since we live in the states, we worked with Richard Perrier over the phone regarding the design, selection of the stone and the sizing. We found the basic style on the beautiful website, but from there on everything was handled personally by Richard. We decided to drive to Canada to pick up the ring and it was even more spectacular they we could imagine. As it turns out, Richard Perrier actually designed the setting, and he personally travels the world to hand select stones for the jewelry. He spent a couple of hours with us, showing us the process of the family owned operations that was started by his father almost 69 years ago. From our previous visit to the shop and website, e were aware of the beauty and quality of but we now have a much greater appreciation of the care, workmanship and pride that goes into e every piece of jewelry.

A shop with friendlier staff and more beautiful and uniquely designed (and reasonably priced!) jewelry would be hard to find, in Montreal or elsewhere. My wife and I shopped there in June and came away with several items that please us very much. I found a gold and silver ring I liked but which couldn't be resized to fit. No problem! The jeweler simply made another like it in my size and mailed it to me in the U.S. a week later. Perfect fit and absolutely beautiful. If you're in Montreal, visit this store!

I got a beautiful silver ring from them. The service was fine and they offered to fit it for free. However, like many jewellers, there are no refunds. They did not make this clear before I bought. So make sure you (and your special someone) are ready to commit. Once you buy the ring, you're married to it. Aside from that inconvenience, the service was fine.

Today we traveled from Edmonton to Montreal and finally arrived at one of my wife's favorite jewelry designer's newly renovated studio. I was so excited for her I knelt at the door way. The staff fortunately had a good sense of humor and Judith had a warm Quebec welcome for us. The selection of pieces is like none other and we've been in stores that carried her line in Burlington and Edmonton. After my wife tried on many items she was delighted to find out how they all went together so well. Thanks to Ann Marie, Judith and the rest of the staff. We'll be back.

This jewellery store is known for its pure gold ladies and gentlemen's jewellery. The owners and workers take great pride in serving their customers. It's closed on Mondays. Security is tight but not suffocating. It's necessary. They really take the time to understand their customers' motives, needs and expectations. Prices obviously vary depending on worldwide prices of gold and other precious metals; but you will receive excellent VFM! ( Value for Money ). Many brides and grooms have proudly worn their jewellery and ornaments! They are open six days a week, including on Sunday. Friendly service and wide smiles! Enjoy your visit! Horrible service and they try to rip off the customer. I got a gift from my mother-in-law which was purchased from Prince jewelers and since I did not like it I went back to exchange it for something else. Granted this was about two months after however it was never worn in, perfect condition and was only gifted to me recently. My mother-in-law had also mentioned to the jewelers in advance that if I did not like it I would come back to change it. So the young guy at the jewelers says if you want to exchange it for something you will not get the same dollar value because we are going to cut the actual labor costs so you will only be able to buy something worth the price of the gold. Then to explain why he’s doing this he uses the following analogy: if you buy a shirt from a store and then a month or two later the new collection comes in and you want to change it for that you will not get that instead of the old shirt. I think this guy needs to go to school. If I go to the store to exchange and get something from the new collection I will still get the same amount of money. I paid $35 initially and now I want to get something worth $70 when I go back I will get my $35 back and I will only have to put in the additional $35 to get that $70 shirt. So using this for the jewelry if I paid $600 to buy the set and now I come back and you are telling me that you are only going to let me buy something for $350 because the remainder you are deducting as labor well I think that your stupid. Stupid because #1 you’re going to turn around and sell this to someone for the same price of $600 and charge on the labor costs. #2 Stupid because you just lost yourself 2 clients. Go to Mukesh. He is professional and his work is better. In response to owner’s answer: A certain amount of close to $200 is ridiculous. This is not a franchise or a large store that has ridiculous rules and stipulations based on head office requests. You knew I had just delivered and therefore could not come earlier. Small business owners can take into consideration the specific situation of clients. But thank you for not doing so.

The staff is friendly and approachable, and although i wouldn't know much about their selection of jewellery, i can vouch for their repair skills. As someone who adores watches and has a whole collection of them, finding a good place to do repairs means the world to me. I handed in 3 watches, which i presumed had empty batteries, only to be told that the mechanism itself needs to be replaced. Thankfully, with incredible attention to detail, the gentleman saved me from having to pay for the mechanism replacement, but using one of his own contacts. This store has officially become my one and only choice in town. Thanks for all your help!

Horror story! This dates back from 5 YEARS AGO but I am still horrified. I see similar reviews about their repair disasters!! YOU ARE THE PROFESSIONAL NOT ME.He does not value his customers feelings.The owner destroyed my one of a king engagement ring stone and tried to blame it on me. I purchased a diamond band to have my stone reset and he rushed the job and completely shattered my stone. When I went back to pick it up he handed me a zip lock bad with what used to be my stone and told me (while in another conversation with someone else AT THE SAME TIME) “ this is your stone, I broke it.” At this point I’m shaking and in tears and he pulls out a watch and said “I tried to rush the job to give it back to you quickly and I even damaged a watch in my workshop while doing it”. First off that is not my problem. I was 25 at the time so I think he was taking advantage of my naivety hoping I wouldn’t make him repay me it’s worth if my stone. Secondly he cannot be forced to perform a job his professional experience knows to be damaging to the item.This man was completely unprofessional and heartless. He offered to replace the stone which he tried to and failed miserably with cheap substitutes. In the end I had to find another stone that was nothing like the one i originally had. I still cannot believe his unprofessionalism and everytime I walk past his store I feel like going in and giving him a piece of my mind but I think I would turn into a crying mess. It’s not about the monetary value its the sentimental value and the way he handled the situation.If I could give 1 star I would.

I’ve been shopping at Taras for around 10 years. I have purchased both custom and over the counter pieces from Raffi and Nadia. I’ve even sold gold to them. I consider Raffi to be ‘my jeweller’ and have sent anyone looking for jewellery to Taras without hesitation or caveat. I’ve read through the reviews here and I can attest, as a former jeweller and a regular consumer, that the negative ones are fabrications at most, exaggerations at best. Over the years I’ve witnessed Raffi and Nadia deal with ridiculously difficult customers and sweet first time jewellery buyers and they have treated them all with the same generosity and respect. They are the best kind of retailers, they actually love dealing with the public and are experts in their field. Jewellers live and die by their reputation as we don’t need jewellery to survive (me being the exception) and Tara’s reputation is solid gold (pun intended).

I am writing this review a year later but last summer I panickly walked into hemsleys with my husband with my wedding ring stuck on my finger! My finger was swelling up and I was losing feeling in my left arm and the man and lady there were so nice! The lady quickly called a gentleman who promptly got to cutting of my ring (with a great sense of humour which made me feel at ease) and he did it within a few minutes! They didn’t charge me a thing but they gained a customer! I’m going back too fix my ring this year and also will buy any jewelry from there! Just how they treated a non paying customer won me for ever! Highly recommend this place!
