I went to this office because I was told they conduct free consultations. I called and got an appointment. When I showed up at the office I was told to wait and I did so for around 30 minutes. No one cared to apologize for the delay or to tell me what was going on.I simply walked out of there and no one even seemed to care whether I was there or not. I am not so sure as to why they have "free consultations" since they fail to even abide by the appointments they give to their potential clients. It truly felt like they did not want me to stay solely based on the fact that my appointment was "a free consultation". It is not ok to humiliate people because you have promised a "free consultation". You could probably cancel the "free consultations" all together rather than humiliate people. Needless to say, such a strategy is not very effective in luring in customers. After all, how can I trust you with my case if you can't even keep a promise for a simple appointment? I was prepared to pay for my case. You have lost a potential customer who will consider the services of a more reliable and respectful office.

We have been trying to get my fiance's adopted daughter to Canada for the past 8 years. Her daughter was a child that was abandoned during the One Child Policy. As you can imagine, in China during that time, to get an official birth certificate for a child born illegally, was and still is, impossible. We went through multiple immigration consultant and lawyers with almost 95% of them telling us to not bother due to the complexity of our situation. Finally. we found another immigration consultant and a lawyer who helped us create a stellar family sponsorship application based on humanitarian and compassionate grounds. Unfortunately the immigration officer at the embassy in Beijing had rejected the application stating multiple reasons that did not take into account the mountain of evidence we had provided to them. Many of the reasons for rejecting the application were blatantly wrong. We then needed to file an Judicial Review (appeal on the decision) with the Federal Court of Canada because we could simply not sit with the fact that this immigration officer did not fulfill their duty properly. Our previous lawyer and immigration consultant then recommended us to Mary Keyork, due to her exceptional abilities on immigration matters. That's when we decided to reach out to Mary and her team. Mary was willing to accept our case and help us with our immigration appeal. She applied her phenomenal legal expertise and had produced an immaculate list of arguments that referenced many relevant past cases that established critical legal precedence for our case. As expected from her fantastic work, the federal judge granted a re-determination on our immigration application! The application has been sent back to the embassy in Beijing for a new immigration officer to access. Although our case is still on-going, the federal decision ruling in favor of our application is HUGE. To give some perspective, only less than 20% of Judicial Reviews are granted a hearing, even more so, to have a positive decision be made on a case after withstanding legal scrutiny on the federal level, is proof in itself, of the exceptional quality of work. Mary is a bonafide immigration expert, and regardless of the outcome of the re-determination, our family can confidently say the following: Mary is one of the best. She is always transparent throughout the entire process, telling us all potential outcomes of each situation, and the best course of action to take. She always explains clearly what to expect and it's truly great to have someone with so much integrity working on our case. Her work quality as I mentioned before, is exceptional. For anyone who is familiar with legal case preparation her work will blow you away. If there was one more thing I could ask for from her, it would be to mentor any aspiring lawyers to achieve the same level of expertise, professionalism, and integrity she has so wonderfully shown us. This is where you'll need firms like immigration.ca. They guided me through the paperwork, tutored me on how to get a job in Canada to raise my score and chances, and it worked. Great job. I am not personally related to anyone working here. This firm of lawyers is wonderful. They helped me to know all my available and most convenient options to renew a work permit under NAFTA agreement, explained to me the process requirements step by step, and never mislead me with confusing information or suggested me anything that could be only convenient to them. Had to give a star but did not really want to. Agree with the other bad reviews. Starting to think that any good reviews are from the friends of the employees or they have paid people to write good things on here. Be very careful regarding the good reviews, seriously and honestly, as you may be being fooled. We are not the only ones with bad experiences as we are aware of several others that are too scared to write a bad review on here. We are lucky as we were wise and listened to the alarm bells ringing and DID NOT PART WITH OUR MONEY! Having said that, we could not get passed the very rude woman who answered the phone, which is a blessing as the alarm bells were ringing when she started mentioning the fee to speak to someone on the phone. As at least we did not waste our money, like so many people have done so.This is a very unprofessional law firm. An absolutely disgusting receptionist that they hire. One who has no interest in anyone's immigration matters. One who repeats herself from a script and is very rude . This begs the question is Mr. Colin Singer actually a REAL lawyer? If so how can he hire a rude, half witted woman? One who speaks like Minnie mouse on helium and will NOT listen but just keeps repeating herself? As they say "When you pay peanuts you inevitably employ a monkey:! Naturally she has her job not based on merit but clearly on nepotism. Shame on this law firm for not employing a person that has a modicum of knowledge regarding the law! We were not PERMITTED to at least speak to a person who has some idea unless we paid, which is very suspicious! All she kept telling us is that we had to pay a fee in US Dollars to speak to a lawyer . Shame on them and we thank them for nothing!! BE VERY CAREFUL OF THIS COMPANY. DO NOT PART WITH ANY MONEY!! A real law firm will have someone that will speak with you with knowledge that actually represents their lawyers, at least an assistant who will relay your details and get back to you without money. Some firms even will hear your brief circumstances and then advise you if they can assist, where by you will book an appointment and pay when you have had your consultation and not before or over the phone! A professional law firm will listen to you as they wish to keep their reputation and stand by their name and company, instead of demanding money as soon as you call!
