What a great spot! The food was fantastic and the staff amazing! My son dropped one of his chop sticks and before he could pick it up one of the servers had a brand new set on the table. Everyone was so friendly and the food did not disappoint!

Not the cheapest Chinese food in Chinatown but definitely some of the best. We were a group of around 20 and they served us at midnight without issue. Good service. Try the: duck (143), Chinese mushrooms, eggplant.

Ambiance: Clean Open Pleasant OK for a lunch date. Service: Prompt attentive not over friendly but not unfriendly either. Drinks: Yes but they automatically serve iced water which is what I usually drink. Prices: Reasonable, Well under $20 for Thai style beef or chicken with rice, which I regularly order and find good. Even better prices at lunch specials. I have been to Shanghai and was treated to wonderful Chinese food by my hosts. This is not that caliber but it is above the usual mediocre Chinese food if you like stir fry. Would I come come again? I have come with a friend who likes the place and wants to return frequently. I have returned myself many times. but hesitate to tell you that this is a must visit staple restaurant. This is not a great night out restaurant but it is a good go for lunch or between classes restaurant. It is above the nearby quick wok restaurants.

I've been here many times and usually enjoy the food. This is mostly in regard to the online order and delivery. It took nearly 2 hours to receive our delivery with no indications or warnings that the food might be late, either on the website, by email, or by phone. The two orders of dumplings were soggy because the sauces in both containers had completely leaked out. Food was hardly warm. I understand Montreal and the bad traffic congestion, but the restaurant is a 20 minute walk from our place. Any kind of warning or estimate would have been nice. I would not fault the delivery guy. He was kind and I understand there probably isn't much he could have done. With the online service, you can sign up to get notifications by text for when the food is on its way. I never received a text. I instead received an email 2.5 hours later telling me my food was on its way. We had already eaten by then. Going to have to pass on ordering delivery from PM in the future.Unfortunately this isn't the only time we've had trouble with delivery.

The won ton is water and flour mixture. 10 of those small ugly staff cost me 10 dollars. I don't know how to describe this restaurant. It's creepy and disgusting. Try to avoid it please. Honestly, If it's possible, I would not even give stars to this restaurant. 0/10

THE WORST. The pictures are NOT what you get. I’m trying to cut down on carbs so last night I ordered the wings, the seafood soup and ribs……..ribs of course being all meat. Instead of the ribs they delivered something like General Tso or something breaded with a sweet sauce. So I thought I’d take the breading off and it turned out there was NO MEAT, not one scrap, they were just lumps of dough. You can see from the photos. Also in the photos is the “seafood soup”. You see that tiny piece of shrimp? There were four pieces just like in an entire quart and the rest was some awful gelatinous goo. The wings were fine. Do yourself a huge solid and try some other place.

All you can eat buffet at a very reasonable price. Lot of options for everyone. I tried chicken, vegetarian and few starters, desserts. Everything was above par in taste. Loved chicken wings. Good customer service and ambience too.

It's an okay place, the food is nothing special and last time I went almost everything I had was already cold. Pros: Fairly inexpensive. No wait time to be seated. Coffee and tea are included in the buffet. Cons: Installation are a bit dated. Food sometimes seems to have been out for a tad too long.

Went here a couple hours ago for the lunch buffet. The average rating at the time I wrote this is 3.1 - 3 stars is about right. It's cheap, in a convenient location, ambience is nice service was good. Problems: Several of the food items are awful. The beef in the curry beef was terrible, worse than mall court Chinese. Avoid anything from their Western section, I couldn't finish an entire onion ring, and I'd even eat the grocery store kind. Only took a bite of the pork bun before I was done with it. If you go to the area often and are willing to "learn" the menu then the value here is pretty good. Otherwise be really conservative with portions on your first try or just skip the restaurant entirely

Very affordable buffet--how you eat really depends on what you pick. Forget the fries and onions rings or pizza, forget dessert, forget the salads. Go for the more authentic Asian dishes--the meats are good, the dumplings are tasty, the noodle dishes are pretty good as well. The red rice is really tasty--try that!

You pretty much get what you pay for. The food is ok at best and I did not eat any seafood just in case. Everything with meat was cold and the meat was really tough. There are many other places in Chinatown where you could spend 15 bucks and get better food.

I had a terrible experience here, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. As a trained cook, I would be ashamed to work in a restaurant that presented food like this to the public! The food was cold(not warm, but actually cold) and dry, the bread and pastries were stale, and together it was some of the most bland food I've eaten at a restaurant. As a result, I could not finish the food I had put on my plate. I don't expect a five star meal when I go to a Chinese buffet, but I do expect it to be at least palatable. On top of the awful food, the staff largely ignored us and it took more than 10 minutes to get service in a near empty restaurant and when we did, our waiter forgot to give us cutlery, after many attempts to catch his attention failed, I had to grab them myself. In conclusion, I strongly recommend against eating at this restaurant. With both poor food and service, I certainly will not be going there again.

The food is excellent fresh and tasty, the service friendly the space itself a little bit crowded, and in the winter time not really suitable for eating in. In the summer the sidewalk chairs give it a different atmosphere, but in the winter the mix of people coming in to pick up orders and people trying to eat deep meals is a little suboptimal. Go for the food not the ambience and you will be happy.

All the dishes were tasteless and I am not even sure some of it was not microwaved. They did give us rather enormous portions. Why bother with big portions. I would not eat your food for free.

Sign on the door and website says they open at 11 on the weekdays but when I arrived at 11:30 they were still closed, lights off and doors locked. I stayed around for another 10 mins and saw the lights slowly turning on so I decided to call. No one answered. You guys need to get your information straight for your clients and people who are willing to give you business.

I came here with my boyfriend on a Saturday night expecting a long wait but was pleasantly surprised when we got seated right away! I didn't find the service slow at all and come on, 9$ for 15 dumplings? An absolute steal! The dumplings are fantastic too. Will definitely be back soon

Amazing place. Must visit for dumplings. Vegetarian friendly!! Decently priced - ~$10 for 15 dumplings. You can also mix flavours so it makes it worth while to try different items. We tried the various chicken and veggie options and only one we were disappointed in was the Tofu Veggies.

My husband's go to. They serve 15 dumplings per order. Great bang for buck. Wide variety of options. The wonton soup entree was really appetizing and warming (coming in from -18 degree weather). Cozy enough but nothing fancy.

Went for a late lunch, the restaurant was quiet. It feels a little cold in the winter but they do have a big heater running. Dumplings are delicious. This time I tried the pork and mushrooms and the shrimp with pork and coriander. Good place if you're on a budget 15 dumplings cost between 8 and 11 bucks. Service is a little slow but worth the wait. This was my second visit and I'd go back, recommended.

We were on the hunt for some dumplings and found this gem. Don’t expect anything extravagant or a wide variety of oriental cuisine. It’s a dumpling house with a large selection of dumpling stuffings and 3 soups. PERFECT!! I enjoyed fried dumplings and chose to mix between 2 flavours. They came fast, we’re not greasy and definitely some of the best I’ve had. My partner swears by steamed dumplings, she also chose between two flavours and loved what she got. Perfect value for money with a nice cosy atmosphere. Highly recommended!!

One of my favorite places for real authentic Asian food. This place has a lot of variety and they get fresh sea food that's special and can't be found in many places. They have lots of items on the menu and they're willing to adjust whatever you need. The chef here is a super hero. The customer service is good. They are very welcoming. All their food is fresh and tastes amazing. Try the salt and pepper shrimp. My favorite.

Located in Chinatown (Montreal, QC), the restaurant has quite a menu to choose from. The decor is current and there is sufficient space. We were promptly seated. The place was not full but people streamed in all the while we were there. The staff is friendly and the kitchen was prompt with our order. The food was tasty and reasonably priced.

Take the salt and pepper shrimps and you'll most likely orgasm. This tastes amazing. Rarely have I ever tasted shrimps that fresh and well seasoned. Every time I eat them, the little onions, spices and the crunchiness of it all tickles my soul into bliss.

Not a bad place. Ordered the crispy frogs legs which was under chefs suggestions and tofu hot pot with mixed meat . Frogs legs were quite alright but could use a bit more seasoning ,it was too simple for 15 dollars. Cozy ambiance with comfortable seating. Service is fast.

We decided to eat here based on the good reviews. Although, the food was mediocre at best. I would highly recommend not ordering the fried jumbo shrimp & chicken with "mayonnaise sauce" which was literally breaded chicken and shrimp and a big bowl of mayo -way to be fancy and charge 19$. We ordered the s&p calamari, which lacked in seasoning but ultimately the steak in Chinese style sweet sauce was actually good and worth the price. All the dishes were served fresh and the service was great. The place also has an awesome decor.

I thought the food was great. I got the lunch special with the salt and butter pork chops. The food was simple, but I liked it. My friend got the general Tao chicken, and it tasted like General Tao chicken. At the end, I ended up paying $10 because I was paying by card, and that was the minimum, but that's all right. Not sure how our family of 5 ended up finding a table in this super small place but we did! There are probably 10 tables max situated in a small space above a grocery store. Expect to be cramped! Service was super fast and our noodles arrived almost as fast as we ordered it. Noodles come in different sizes and shapes and are all hand made at the restaurant. We ordered the flat noodles and were not disappointed. I preferred the smaller size flat noodles as I found the largest too chewy. The broth is simple but still very flavourful. We also ordered a couple side dishes of spicy beef and some spicy cucumbers. Both were very tasty and had a very mild heat. Definitely don't order it if you have a peanut allergy though!

We stumbled upon this joint. Located on top of a grocery, it's a very small spot with limited seating; worth the wait. The beef soup was flavourful, spicy, but not too salty. We ordered the cold beef with chilli sauce for appetizer; which was surprisingly really good. Cost for both items was less than $20, we will definitely come back.

I loved it! They make their noodles there, and it's so delicious. My friend and I only spent less than 10$ each and were completely full when we left. They didnt give us water but gave us tea. Service was very fast, and it was full! They offer different size bowls and the small is so big its insane. Cant wait to go back!

Stopped by for dinner and it was a great experience! The dandan beef noodles are really tasty and well-cooked, and the service was quite prompt as well. This spot is super popular and tends to get packed relatively quickly, so it's better to show up with a group of friends for good seating. The ambiance is very lively, and you can't go wrong with anything off the menu. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Chinatown!

I ate here a few days ago with my partner. I had the vegetable noodles "xi". They were flavorful and delicious. The tea egg was perfectly seasoned. My partner had a meat based dish which he said was "okay". The server was rude and short with us and was very particular about seating. Even when they had two people seated at two other tables of four. The interaction with this server really put us off. For that reason I've given them 3/5.

Look, this place was great, but one of the staff can ruin the whole experience of eating at this place. The food was great, the service was decent. So why did I score 1 star? Because one of the staff explicitly said if you eat here you have to give tips. I'm sorry, isn't the whole point of tipping is you gave as a gratuity. Since when is that this guy said that you have to pay tips. I'm sorry, I do give tips, but when you about to pay and he bluntly said that you have to give tips because you eat here just interesting and I flat out said, they call it tips because it's a discretionary not mandatory.

The sizes of the bowls are huge. I'm not the biggest guy but the medium bowl was pretty hard to finish. The spicy sauce wasn't too spicy either. A must try if you're in the mood for a good bowl of Chinese noodles.

Used to be good, but not so much anymore. Chicken sauté had small pieces of bones in it. What was sold as pork was in fact mostly pork fat. My advice would be that there are too many menu options, it is hard to choose. They should concentrate on what they can do really well and reduce menu item count.

Satisfying but I wouldn’t say it’s a top pick. Great service and a nice restaurant to accompany a group. I had the seafood and chicken and beef dish which was tasty. Prices are about 15-20 for main dishes. Fortune cookie was a nice touch.

Unfortunately not as good as it used to be. Yet, it's still one of the few good restaurants that do more authentic dishes, even though the authenticity is one of the aspect that appeared to have lessened with time to me. They do have the General Tso's chicken for people who prefer Americanized dishes. Some things I noticed about the food: -Dishes less spicy than they used to, probably to cater to north-American palates. You can always specify you want more though; -Could not see or taste Sichuan pepper anymore in the Sichuan dishes; -Had some twice-cooked pork (one of my favorites) that tasted like the meat wasn't fresh anymore before being cooked, twice. Maybe they changed the recipe and there is nothing wrong with it, but it was much less pleasant than it used to be to me. Texture was also chewier; -Much less garnishes in the Chili fish dish, such as glass noodles and bean sprouts. About the service though, for me it was always good: -Never felt rushed; -Was never badgered for more tip (though service was always good therefore so was my tip); -A nice touch for dishes that traditionally have "cruder" pieces of meat with small bones and/or cartilage in them: they often offered to prepare the same dish with a different cut that has no bones, for -once again- our north-American palates which aren't used to have, for example, chicken thighs cleavered in chunks with the bone in (and might complain about it). The place always appeared to be clean to me, more so than many restaurants in Chinatown. As far as prices go, they seem fair as portions are quite generous. I will keep going from time to time, in the hope that the restaurant will regain its former 4 star worthy food.

I read the reviews and was a bit hesitant to go here however after going I was so impressed. The food was delicious, place was very clean and service was great. I had the general Tao, which was very good. I also had the pork belly cooked twice dish which was one of the best I’ve ever had. Will be going back here very soon. The servings were nice and big and I really enjoyed it with enough for left overs!

I ordered the fried rice to go. The fried rice was nicely packed, and they had the order ready immediately. The fried rice though had no flavour, tasted like expensive (10.95$) cooked rice 😏. I so much miss the great Taiwanese fried rice in Taiwan, they are usually in strong garlic/scallion wok stir fried flavour with generous ingredients. The fried rice in Gia Ba wasn’t anything close to that kind of home fried rice. I should have ordered other dishes to go together with their fried rice. I wish the lady taking the order would have let me know. It was a tasteless lunch; sorry to be so blunt. Their washroom is super clean.

Simple, flavorful, NOT greasy, cheap, good portions, homey atmosphere, these guys know really how to cook. This is my go-to place for delivery when I'm too lazy to cook, it's cheap, simple (only about 8 options to choose from for delivery) delicious, lots of vegetables lots of meat and good portion (I usually have enough for lunch the next day). But I went to visit the place recently and I realized that they have so many options to chose from that they do not propose for delivery (which is smart, late-night delivery needs to be simple and easy). I had stir-fried noodles, which were cooked exactly right I love crunchy noodles but it's very hard to get them right they often are too dry, but these were perfect. I'm amazed at their ability to make simple food so delicious. I can't get my boyfriend to order anything else than a General Tao, but honestly I don't blame him they cook it so well, not greasy at all with subtle lemon flavors I could have it every day. The staff is also very nice and welcoming, I won't hesitate to come back anytime.

This place has a very welcoming atmosphere and the service is great. Every time we come here the server is so sweet and helps with suggestions. The food is very fairly priced, and you get a large quantity. Overall the flavor and experience are great. If you are curious, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

I've been to the restaurant a few times throughout the years, great place, very cozy. Food is good especially compared to most Asian places nowadays that I know of. I order for delivery most of the time and always been pleased until I encountered their first mistake with me. They forgot the rice with my General Tao. They were more than nice to replace the whole meal. Would recommend!

When to celebrate the occasion..worst experience have ever ... Rude behavior towards us when we ask for something... The food is not tasty .. less salt . . The waitress / server couldn't understand what we ask in English .. Finally when we asked for the bill. She added 10% tip by herself. When we questioned about it .. she argued and called us complicated customer .. we don't mind paying tip .. But demanding and taking the money is bad thing.. I Never ever recommend this restaurant... It is a nice hidden place in Chinatown that is worth the price for the usual dim sum items. However, the people who push the carts are very slow to walk through the restaurant. I usually have to walk to each cart and ask what they have in order to be able to eat what I want to eat. Plus, all of the staff speak very poor English so I recommend coming here with someone who speaks Mandarin or Cantonese.

I went there with my wife and cousins for Dim sum. The food was great, there was a lot of choices on the menu and they have very good prices. The place is popular and its located in Chinatown. Great food! Pretty clean place!! It's better to go with big groups! I suggest that to make the job easier for the staff and that you can order more easily, have at least one Chinese person that is able to speak comfortably Cantonese or Mandarin since the staff there has a bit of difficulty speaking French.

Nice ambiance, high ceilings, big restaurant. If you want a booth on a Saturday evening, better to reserve otherwise there's not much of a wait. Service was good. Had the salt n pepper calamari, crispy honey shrimp and general Tso chicken. They were all tasty. I didn't give 5 stars because the portions are small and it's kinda overpriced.

I have been to this US based eatery numerous times in the US. But this was the first time I went to P.F. Chang's in Montreal. I love the interior, very upscale. I ordered the Buddha's Feast and it was great. They didn't have a lot of vegetarian choices for lunch (hope they change that!). The size of the dish is quite large for lunch, but I was able to take a doggy bag. The entire Smart Centres area is worth exploring as long as you find parking.

My review is for the happy hour. I went twice and both times the restaurant wasn't very busy which is great. Drinks good not mind blowing but are a fantastic value during happy hour. Interior is very nice and comfortable I would describe it as grand, airy, and modern - the type of American suburban chain restaurant we don't usually get in Montreal. service was friendly and attentive but not intrusive! I guess it is alright. Ordered ribs, tartar, broccoli beef, black wok beef. Tartar was good and tasty. Everything else was too salty and sweet. Broccoli had a good amount of ginger. 100$ for two. The menu is food to share even if I had said the waiter it was my 1st time,he has not explained it.

Came here for dim sum on Sunday. I was really impressed. The food was great and service too, a lot better than other dim sum spots in Chinatown. The prices for most items are between $4.50-$5.00. Go early to beat the crowds, like before 11am. Quick tip: to pay, you have to bring your bill to the front desk/cash.

Came here for dim sum on the weekend, the order-from-the-cart kind. It was a bit pricey to be honest, but no complaints about the food. I waited forever for the tofu pudding dish (which is my favourite!) because the cart kept skipping our row - but when I asked a passing waitress about it, she very nicely brought it for our table!

As of 2019, one of the best dim sum in Montréal Chinatown. Dim sum places prices went up with time, quality goes down, but this place maintains quality and good pricing. If you visit from out of town, or you have friends family you want to bring for dim sum, it's a must go place.

The restaurant is located on the sixth floor of the plaza, you need to take the elevator to go up. The restaurant is spacious and clean. The service was excellent. I found the food a little bland but you can add codiments like sauce. There is no free WiFi and you can park in the basement for a fee. Note that the parking is very tight, you are better off parking elsewhere unless you drive a tiny car.

This is cafeteria style Chinese food. It's upstairs from the sidewalk. Kinda hard to see but it's there. You select 3 out of about 10 foods for 9-10$ with some rice. I let them pick the 3 foods for me. I think I got chicken, lamb, and tomato/eggs. And rice of course. I paid 9$. The chicken was good but not deboned which was disappointing. A lot of bone meant little chicken. Chicken was tender and greasy. Lamb was also not deboned but it tasted very good. This was my first time eating tomato and egg stir fry in my life (I'm not Chinese) it tasted a bit weird to me at first but by the end of it I started to like it. I don't have anything to compare it to. It was quite sweet. The rice was dry, clumpy, and tasteless much like all Chinese places I go to. I added some soy sauce to give it taste. Overall food was good, not too expensive, and quick. Staff was nice and helpful. Decor is pretty much non existent. Almost sketchy. The place doesn't seem very clean either. Overall I'd say give it a try.

It was okay... would have to try a different plate? My mom and I did not like the chow mein but her husband said it was alright.. the won ton soup and the spring roll and sauce was delicious. The waitress knew I did not like it. I had two bites and did not touch the plate but nothing was offered.. paid for something I did not eat:( she also said its normal for noodles to be dry (some were) . It was either not cooked or old dried up noodles. It was drenched in a thick oily sauce which ruined the plate for me. Too bad.

Had the worst experience here a few hours ago. I desperately needed to use the washroom, and was refused by the man working behind the counter. Even after I offered to buy something to eat, he very bluntly said no. With no explanation or courtesy, I was rudely denied something I requested extremely politely, and was willing to pay for. I can't speak to the food at Tao, but I was truly appalled at the unkind treatment I received in a really urgent situation. I will certainly never go near this restaurant ever again, and will enjoy eating out with my friends at the multitude of other (probably better) restaurants in NDG.

Ordered a delivery, received just a spring roll, which consisted of a crab stick and a tiny shrimp inside, I guess that is what seafood means for them. Also the main dish wasn’t delivered at all!! Spent 30 min trying to call the restaurant, called like 50 times with no answer!!! This a joke and not a restaurant. If you want Chinese food, go any other place but avoide this ****hole at any cost!!

Great place with amazing numbers of choices. This resto has a special place in my belly. First, the menu is very diverse, it expands from Vietnamese to Cambodian to Chinese dishes. If you have a craving for Asian food, try this place out you won’t regret it. The food is always prepared fresh and the prices are reasonable for most of the dishes. What I love about this place is the meat. They marinate and cook it just right. In the picture, the dish is grilled beef skewers with fried pork chop topped with an egg. The pork is very tender and tasty. You should also try their Cambodian dry soup, don’t forget to order the Chinese bread with this soup. You have to dip it in the broth before eating the Chinese bread. This place is clean and the service is good.

One of the best fast asian place in Montreal. It's good and not expensive. I go there every time we want to eat Chinese food and don't wanna cook. They never disappoint. The variety is amazing also. Totally recommend.

My favorite Asian restaurant in town. Eventing I've had has been great. Even when stirrer packed food comes out within 10-15 minutes. Must try the Lok Lac, Fish Hamok, Pad Thai, and Thai Style Quails.

Good restaurant, the soups (as a meal) are good. The others meals look good as well, I will certainly come back. The price is acceptable, depending on the meal, sometimes it is more expensive than others similar asian restaurants. The price of the soups 🍜 are okay. Good place to go with your family, if you feel lazy to cook. The service was fast.
