I got a manicure here one evening while staying at the hotel. The polish started chipping the next morning. By Day 2, much more of the polish had chipped off, so I called the spa to tell them this, and they advised me that I was at fault for the chipping because I didn't apply my own top coat the morning after the manicure. Who carries top coat with them while travelling? Very, very disappointing.

Completely incompetent. They lost our reservations 2 years in a row while celebrating a Valentine's weekend. This was despite a lengthy discussion about the first problem and repeated assurances the reservations were made. DON'T BE DISAPPOINTED GO ANYWHERE ELSE Doesn't make us want to use the hotel again either. Montebello a much better idea I think...

I didn't use Aqua-Pro services, our neighbor did, but one of their sub-contractors (Piscine PJB) damaged our basketball system with their equipment. There was no help on their part in resolving the issue. It looks like anyone can get away with anything and they do not care; they washed their hands by providing the name of sub -contractor who operates via his Facebook page and does not respond to any emails or calls.

Option to have a headrest would have been nice. After taking shoes off at the front, would have appreciate slippers to use before or after float. Felt a bit rushed as we were told beforehand not to take more than 5 minutes after float to shower and get dressed due to high client volume that day. This was my first time going to any Float tank Therapy place, and it did not disappoint. The front desk woman was so sweet, and could tell I was nervous, but excited. She was super knowledgeable, and made me feel at ease. I had an amazing experience, and I can’t wait to go back!

I was not sure what to expect, and I am claustrophobic so I had concerns about the lid. Well....I should not have. The place is spotless, the owners are very kind and make you feel comfortable right away. The pod room includes a shower and it is your own private space. The pod itself feels very wide even closed. Loved the music intro and next time I will ask to have the music on the whole time. While in the pod I felt relaxed but also kept waiting for something to happen....and the funny thing is, after coming out of the pod, and showering, that was when I felt it....just a total calm and I wish I could have just slept....felt like after the best massage ever. Would totally recommend the experience.

ISO Spa was my first experience with a floatation tank, and it was a great start! Set-up was quick and easy with help from one of the owners. It does take some time to get used to being inside the float tank, but once I settled in I was surprised at how quickly the hour flew by. I didn’t really hear any sounds from outside, so it was easy to relax while I was in there. The entire space is clean and well-maintained, and the waiting area is a great place to get your bearings back before you step outside.

A wonderful relaxing experience. The staff (owners) are extremely nice and welcoming. They'll have you ready to go in 5 minutes. The whole process is similar to getting in and out of a pool. What happens in between is the difference ;) you just lie there and float alone with your thoughts in the dark while the water, salts and sensory deprivation work their magic. It's an experience I recommend everyone should try at least once.

I absolutely love the concept of this sensory deprivation experience, but it just wasn't for me. An hour seemed like a very long time and my mind wouldn't relax. I've heard many people rave about it, and for that reason I would consider trying it again. That and the staff were absolutely amazing. A bonus: they offer free parking in a prime location of Ottawa

Great place, amazing atmosphere. The pods are large, so if you're concerned about tight spaces, you should be fine! You are able to leave the lid open, and the lights for the room do turn off. Jason is a great guy, extremely helpful and informative. I felt so relaxed afterwards, it was incredible! I'll be going back.

A little hard to find and not the most glamorous place but clean, professional and with fantastic results. I had alot of questions regarding men's brows and these guys took care of it all from beginning to end. Service was straight forward with a smile. Clean sheets are provided to lay on. The best thing is the use of sugar instead of classic wax for hair removal. It tingles but doesn't hurt. Whole process was 30min including brow waxing and tinting. I will be back for touch ups every two months.

Very professional staff and a lovely clean, relaxing space. I am going here for maintenance laser hair removal for my underarms (had them done in Toronto a few years back and just need a couple more treatments), and my first treatment was great with excellent results. Definitely going to save up to get more areas done here. It is priced appropriately for the top of the line laser that they use.

I had my first massage ever here! Lauren was my RMT, who asked me lots of questions before my massage to make sure that she was targeting the proper areas. The room was nice and dim with music playing. The only downside was that the room I was in is located by the entrance, so I could hear people coming up and down the stairs, as well as the receptionist greeting and speaking to clients. The water jug dispenser kept bubbling every now and then during the massage, which took away from the relaxed ~escape~ I was on. I was given lemon water before and after, and bath salts at the end to soak in at home. Overall, I'd go again!

I had a fabulous hot stone massage by the very talented Tara Jantz. This was my first time at this particular spa and also my first time having this style of massage. What a treat! Despite being right in the middle of busy downtown Ottawa, inside the spa is super relaxing and beautiful. Everything is very clean, the staff were friendly, and my treatment was superb. I would definitely recommend going to this sweet little oasis and I understand now why they have consistently received such high praise.

Very noisy waiting area, small spa with no amenities, and girls at the front desk were gathered together gossiping. More like a sorority than people working. My service was ok but very rushed. This place is like a train station at rush hour. Old location was much better.

Super let down. I thought I'd treat myself to a massage, mani and pedi and so I contacted Holtz to book. They emailed me back on a Monday to say the couldn't accommodate my booking on the Wednesday but could do "tomorrow" at 5. I emailed back with my credit card and received my confirmation Tuesday morning. I left work early to get there early as they suggest to take advantage of their spa amenities and checked in at the front. I was asked my name, offered a beverage and then told to hang my coat up. When I went back to the desk they were busy so I sat down in the waiting area. No beverage came and no one would make eye contact. Finally the second receptionist asked the one I spoke to "what the girl on the couch was waiting for" so I got up and she handed me a clipboard to fill out. I filled it out and handed it in only for the masseuse to say I wasn't the name she had down. The second receptionist then looked up my appointment and said it was in fact for Wednesday. Since I cannot take additional time off work that meant I had to cancel my appointment. They did confirm that the email said it was for today but the confirmation I was sent this morning was for Wednesday. I understand mix ups happen - in this case on both our parts. But I'm upset that I was left to sit there with no offered beverage even though I checked in and the first receptionist never so much as offered an apology.

Went to Holtz SPA just before the Christmas holidays for a mani & pedi and what a wonderful experience I had with Katrina. She was so attentive and was very friendly and funny. Katrina is a true professional, Holtz SPA must be so pleased to have her, I am!

I participated in an event called 'Pampered Professionals' and had my hair and makeup done as well as a massage. I am so happy with the way the Maryam did my hair (and I smiled when I noticed we had the same name!). I also really enjoyed my massage and the way my makeup was done was beautiful. Also the glass of Prosecco and snacks were an excellent treat! The reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because upon arriving for my massage, I was told to wait in the busy salon instead of the quiet waiting room reserved for massage clients, I also did not receive coffee or tea as I waited. This isn't ideal considering in other spas I have been to this is standard. In addition, after all of my services were completed, I had to remind the staff twice to provide me the small promotional gift as part of their event. I wish the staff had pro-actively offered this to me instead of relying on me to remember. In spite of these two minor things, I still really enjoyed my time there. I will definitely be back for the salon but not for the spa services.

I can’t say enough to truly express how I was made to feel by the esthetician that gave me my facial. When I arrived I was asked to have a seat and wait. Within few minutes, I was greeted by Joelene who offered me something to drink and showed me where the powder room was. She was professional, friendly, and beautiful I might add! Nice to know the person who you place trust in with your skin is also well groomed, and obviously cares about her own skin. She explained every step before moving forward with every product she applied so I was aware of different sensations. My concern was aging, sun spots and even with just 1 application, I could see a difference. I decided on The OxyGeneo treatment and feel it was worth every $$$. I did not feel any sales pressure after my facial which also speaks volumes even though I did buy Dr. Babur’s products beause like everything in life, you get what you pay for! I can’t wait to return for another session of pure bliss with Joelene! The new location is set up differently than the old location, and I agree the reception area is not as relaxing because of the open concept but the Staff is phenomenal and once inside with your esthetician, the feeling is the same as it was at the other location....Pampered all the way!!

We were there for my birthday and we were very disappointed in the service on the main floor. First impressions are important and the girl at the front desk clearly did not want to work today. Restaurant was ok, the massage and pedi were great so that's a plus! Disappointing

My bridal party and myself came here the day before the wedding to get manicures and pedicures. We had a wonderful experience and they were even able to accommodate my junior bridesmaid so that she could participate in the wedding fun. Everyone's nails were done perfectly, and it was wonderful to just relax and sip wine with my ladies before the craziness of the wedding day really begun. Highly recommend them for any spa needs!

Lovely grounds and gardens. Beautiful, spacious dining room at the Retreat and abundant outdoor seating in gorgeous landscaped patio areas. Service was very friendly in the restaurant, but unfortunately also very slow. Food was excellent, but portions of some items were meagre. If time is not an issue, these are very pleasant surroundings in which to spend a few hours.

The spa is laid out very nicely. I mean... it's a spa. It can be hard to say it sucks, but there was some odd customer service that I received here. You get a bracelet that unlocks your locker and you can put money on it for food and drink. That was a nice feature, but they screwed up mine and my fiance's bracelets. It would not unlock the locker and they lost the money that was on the bracelet. They made up for it which was nice. I don't like that they allow alcohol in the infinity hot tub. People get way too loud and vocal when they drink. You have to go in the morning to enjoy peace and quiet here. They try to enforce being quiet, but I feel they aren't doing a very good job. It was very loud when I was there last.

Amazing experience!! There are so many different types of saunas that's hard to tell which one was my favourite. The restaurant and lounge were excellent. Great variety of drinks and the food was really good. Had the braised beef sandwich and totally recommend it!!! The staff is so friendly and are always smiling. Will definately be back!!!!

A very interesting experience. Too noisy for a relaxing day. Staff should advise to stay quiet....when I get out the bracelet scanner did not work. I was lucky I didn't have money on it. I really like the salted spa. Being floated in a bath only your head out was so relaxing. Overall I will go back again however on a weekday without this much of people. March break was not a good timing for relaxing at this place

If you haven't been to a destination like this before, as I hadn't, Spa Nordik can be a little overwhelming at first. There are a lot of flavours of sauna and warm and cool pools to try out. The staff, however, are friendly and understanding and happy to offer suggestions and directions. The location is lovely and everything well-maintained and professional. Well worth renting a car for the day to visit if you're in Ottawa. Definitely take a whole day, any time of year.

Spent an entire day there and it was a very relaxing experience. As many others have said it is better to be there early in the morning but the only line up was at the entrance and the place did not feel too crowded at any point during the day. Even though it is a bit pricey compared to other places, I would highly recommend getting a massage from here because there were some excellent massage therapists here and the quality of the sessions are significantly better.

First experience here was amazing. The only thing I wish was that we were given more detailed information about how the spa “works” (hot, cold, relaxation cycle) and where to find everything. Instead it felt like we were being rushed through when we entered as they were very busy. Customer service was good but perhaps a little more time should be spent on welcoming you and finding out if it is your first time and providing enough information for guest to really maximize their experience. Also more maps or even a small pamphlet with a map would have been useful for finding our way around. Otherwise, was an amazing experience and I will definitely be going back soon.

THE best massage I've ever had! I had a lovely lady named Joanne, can't wait to go visit her again. The pools and saunas are okay, a little on the smaller side and can get pretty crowded. Overall, still a relaxing experience. Oh, and the food was phenomenal!

Super cool experience. I loved the outdoor setting and the staff were all lovely. I went with a friend but would also be romantic as a couple. Not recommended for groups as you are supposed to be quiet. I wish there was a bit more policing for noise makers though and it was really busy. The extra options where a bit expensive but the restaurant was good and not bad priced either.

Not worth the price. It was overall a mediocre experience, with hot tubs not properly maintained to the point that you couldn't sit without slipping or being pushed by the water jets so you constantly had to hold to the sides. Non existing staff, I never saw a single person check on the well being of the clients or the condition of the facilities. Iced formed by one of the cold showers but they only bothered putting warning cones on haft the area affected. Keys that you are obligated to keep on you get hot and can hurt you when you are in the sauna. Only positive is it isn't too crowded.

This is a lovely little spa. Despite negative reviews we read, we went yesterday and were pleasantly surprised. The staff at the front were very friendly, fully bilingual, and welcoming. A nice touch is that the fluffy white robes and sandals are included in the admission fee. The baths are very nice and the Finnish and Swedish saunas were very clean and spacious. The bistro had a limited menu but service was very prompt and friendly. Our meals were large servings and a great value for the price. My only issue was the special citrus shower wasn’t working although we were told when we arrived it was a special thing we should take advantage of. That was a disappointment but the only one we experienced. Is the Cantley spa like Le Nordic in Chelsea? No, it’s a fraction of the size, but it delivers on good service, good food, good value (and not crowded) and we came out relaxed and will definitely return.

Service at the bistro was non-existent. We were seated for forty minutes before we were even greeted. Out of a four hour visit, two hours was spent waiting in the bistro. When the food did arrive it seemed like it had sat for awhile. The wine was warm and the food was cool.

I went for the Warm and Cold Basalt Stone massage and had the most wonderful experience. The staff are fully bilingual, warm, friendly, and efficient. My massage therapist, Pierre-Luc, has hands of pure gold. He made me feel very comfortable and explained the entire process as it was my first time at Amerispa and having the stone massage. Pierre-Luc was very professional and used just the perfect amount of pressure. He didn't talk during the massage except to ask me to turn over, which is my preference. I felt like a puddle after he was done. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely be returning, hopefully to visit the spa in addition to another massage.

I paid nearly $50 for an 'updo' for my daughter today as we were attending a gala. The stylist gave her a run of the mill bun. Once we took it out before bed, I saw it was made with a bun maker (which I already have at home purchased from a dollar store) I could have easily done this at home myself for free. Disappointing quality. I feel like I wasted my money.

THERE IS NO NEED TO VISIT ANY OTHER POOL DEALER! My wife and I had been looking for a pool company to install a pool at our house in Ontario, and by chance we spoke to a friend who had Trevi install a pool for him about 5 years ago. This guy is an engineer and is picky about how things are built, but Trevi passed his test. He suggested we visit them and we are so glad we did. I would suggest speaking with Benoit (Ben). He is extremely knowledgeable and very easy to work with. There was never any pressure, and if Ben didn't have an answer to one of my questions he found someone quickly who did. I spent about 2 hours with him on Saturday, and the next day my wife and I spent an additional 2 hours- and we left having purchased a pool. This is our 4th pool, and the process was never easier. Trevi has the pool buying process down to a science This is a big investment and you want to put this in the hands of people who know what they are doing. These guys are masters of their craft.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but the work that's done there is outstanding. You can just tell by the way her procedures are done, she knows what she's doing, and the best way to do it. I have had a few things removed on my face, a dark spot where my nose ring used to be, that stained my skin, and a mole. I still can't belive you dont see one single hint of scarring on either, and after one treatment on my dark spot, (which she advised I may have to go back for a second round) It is practically gone! I am beyond happy and will continue to go to Eve for laser hair, and any other cosmetic procedure I may want in the future, not to metion her prices are un beatable!

Best haircut experience I have EVER had (as a guy). I have been twice and both times I feel like royalty. Great atmosphere, great front desk, great hair products. I saw Harley and wow great haircuts both times. Best part is she gave me detailed tips how to recreate the style so I can have that “post haircut” style daily! Amazing staff, highly recommend for anyone looking for a 11/10 male haircut.
