Terrible customer services. I put up with it over a dozen times. I won't be back. The only reason they won vegetarian is because they are the only option. Non vegans like the food is because it is basic. Foods is over priced & they are extremely cheap on ingredients. Most of all the staff is uninviting & rude. I am vegan but would get better service at McDonald's asking for a free glass of water.

I came to carrots n dates for the first time last week because I heard amazing reviews. I thought I would be underwhelmed because it was talked up so much. To say I’ve was wrong is and understatement. I had the old Thai and I was blown away. The service was impeccable and the staff was so kind. The blonde cashier went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. I definitely will be coming back

I've never attempted vegan food before in my life - this was my first experience with it. A friend of mine is vegan and highly recommended this place, so we came for lunch. Prices are higher than I expected, but the food was quality, and portions were decent. The atmosphere is very cozy and informal - we ate our lunch on a couch! :) I had a great experience with the food. It was timely, prepared in-house, and very tasty! Especially loved the salted caramel cheesecake - delicious!

Really nice spot to grab a quick fresh juice to go. The girl working there was very sweet and helpful. Would have been five stars if they had some juice made there in front of you but I get the concept is a grab and go kind of place. Would definitely go back.

I took my annual trip to Detroit for the Movement electronic music festival and decided to go to Drought because they were the only place that I could find that served raw juice. The Drought stand is located in the Shinola store in mid-town a short drive from the Westin hotel we stayed at. My girlfriend and I decided to get a juice for each of the 5 days we were there. I tried the Green #1, Beet #1, Green #2 and the Beet #2. I prefer the #2's as they have more vegetables. The juices are excellent in taste and they come in nice glass bottles. These would be a staple in my diet if I lived in Detroit. The store is open early and I met the owner of the company who is very friendly and knowledgeable about the product. I also got 4 shots of the e3live which were pretty good. I would highly recommend this business for anyone that wants good fruit and vegetable juices.

Very cozy, what a nice set up, very comfortable and natural setting. We shared the Pad Thai with the extra saucy noodles (AMAZING!) the BBQ Burger (so tasty, great sauce, coconut bacon yummy), came with a salad, very good, fillafles grounded up in there, really enjoyed it. Our daughter (3) enjoyed her basic noodles with butter (she is so picky), and her peanut butter banana smoothie. We tried them and were impressed with both. We finished with an amazing peice of chocolate lovers cheesecake, highly recommend it. Owner was very personable and friendly. Prices were all listed, at first seem somewhat high BUT we felt were fair considering how many items were made in house, and especially after tasting everything. Impressed! 5*'s. Glad valentines day was our first visit. It felt special and unique.

Good option for healthy lunch. Unique combinations. Some are excellent, others not so much. Their menu is quite pricey but that’s what to expect with high quality fresh food. Worth a try if a plant based meal is what you’re craving.

Great vegan cafe. Good products, service and ambiance. Lots of parking. I didn't realize that it was a purely vegan place though, so if you need real cream in your coffee you'll have to go elsewhere or bring your own.

Usually I have great service but recently it’s been horrible. Last 4 visits service has been bad. Either they put something on my salad that I say don’t put on there. Or they forget to put something on the salad that’s suppose to be on there. And this is now happening consistently. So I’m going to have to rethink this particular location the eastern market location. I really like the manager. So hopefully the issue can be resolved because I really like the food. But I can’t keep patronizing a place with this type of service.

Excellent customer service. My first time in here after Drought moved out and one of the employees immediately greeted me politely, gave me a complimentary shot and my drink was made within minutes. Prices are a touch higher than what I expected but we are downtown, what did you expect? I will always pay a little more for better meals and ingredients. I am so glad this here and not Drought. I will be a long term customer from now on.

The tumeric/ginger/lemon shots are amazing but I only order the juices to store them in the fridge for a bit to chill them. Juices aren't cold pressed so you get luke-warm juice. Other criticism is that their shots come in little condiment carryout plastic cups. Especially with turmeric which stains EVERYTHING it touches, this is not the best packaging, especially if carrying to-go.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while now. I finally had time to come in during my 11:30am lunch break. With high hopes, I reviewed the website for products prior to my visit. I wanted to purchase a few juices to have for breakfast for the week, only to find out they make one type of juice a day and they don't carry the size that's listed on their website. I was told by the only employee in the place that they don't carry the 8 ounce juices any longer and that she had mentioned to the owner about updating the website. Plain and simple, it's false advertisement. They only had the largest juice size available in the Bella, which is pretty pricey. I did purchase the paradise acai smoothie bowl. It was tasty, but it didn't have the banana and dates as the ingredient description listed. In addition, I inquired about the vegan chili and they didn't make any for the day. As a vegetarian, it is hard to find decent establishments with a variety of options to choose from for lunch or a snack. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back as I left extremely disappointed.

Had been waiting since the winter, for the perfect warm day for a smoothie bowl. The day finally arrived, and I went in for the green smoothie bowl. Not only was it delicious, it was beautiful. Saw lots of items leave the store, and all looked awesome. Have a great little seating area outside for the wait. Worth the $5.50 price tag. Will definitely visit again though out the season. My only complaint, a little bit of a wait. May need more blenders, or faster blenders. Luckily I had time, under other circumstances, I might have had to get a refund. The two, young ladies working we're doing the best they could.

When I need a "pick me up" before or after meetings and events Downtown or Midtown, Fresh101 is my first stop. The ingredients are all fresh and all vegan so I don't have to worry about what I am feeding my body. As a bonus, the cafe is beautifully designed and good music is always playing. Very often I end up in stimulating conversations with the courteous staff or other patrons. The Summer outdoor seating has added another level of amazing. I have only good things to say about this establishment and I encourage all to visit. My favorite is the Kale/Collard Soup!
