The rest of the staff worked quietly behind the counter but smiled to us on the way out and also provided friendly after-sales service when I called regarding my order. Great service, advice and lots of help from staff. Ceramic tiles were replaced in downstairs shower, great job done! and new floor is great! Also family room and seven stairs were tiled and look fabulous, we received many compliments from family and friends too. The prices were very reasonable and good selection to choose from. During installation, the guys noticed a wavy flaw in the floor slats after the first few rows were installed, installation was stopped, another load was ordered and installed within a week. We surely appreciate the guys stopping installation rather than just leaving us with something substandard. Floor Store is Number 1 and will certainly get more of our business again very soon. We went in on a Sunday afternoon - very pleased with the service when we walked in the door. Someone came to help us and directed us over to the tile section where we wanted to look at tiles for a shower as we were renovating our bathroom. After picking out a tile we liked we asked if we could receive a quote for the job. The girl said no problem that it was complimentary and she took down our contact information. She let us know right away that they were really busy with commercial projects at the moment and they could book us in about a month to do the job. We thought that wouldn’t be a problem as we still had a lot of demo to do on the bathroom and that would give us enough time to get the shower ready. She told us that someone would be able to come out first thing the next morning to take a look and provide a quote. This worked out as my boyfriend was off. Come to find out nobody ever showed up or called. We were not impressed. It was a small job and not worth their while. They are only interested in big commercial jobs. Wish she would have mentioned that upfront and we would have gladly gone elsewhere. Wasted our time. Would not recommend.

We went all over Windsor looking for quartz countertops for 2 bathrooms today. We stopped by Colautti Brothers to get a quote for them. As soon as they realised this was a "small" job for them they did everything they could to discourage us from buying from them. They started by saying they are very busy with commercial jobs and they could not even say when they would be able to get to us. We felt like leaving at that point but we decided to stay and see their selection of quartz countertops. Their selection of quartz countertops was very limited compared to other stores we visited in the city and in the end their quote was the highest of all. I don't recommend them unless you have a big commercial job.

We had our basement and bathroom redone last year, and used Colautti for carpet and hard flooring in the basement (we planned on using them for tile and granite in the bathroom, but after our experience with them in the basement, we changed our minds). The person we dealt with when choosing flooring was very nice and helpful. The carpet installation was fine. No problems there. They did a fine job. We had part of the basement, a half bathroom, and a vestibule done with luxury vinyl plank flooring. In the entryway to our laundry room, they didn't extend the flooring into the doorway far enough, so there is a gap where you can see the laundry room concrete floor. Then in the larger area, there were two problem areas. One spot where the flooring hadn't clicked together properly, and another where the edge of the plank was damaged. I told my contractor, and Colautti came back and fixed the spot that hadn't clicked together, but the damaged plank wasn't replaced. They just pounded down the edge so it wasn't sticking up, leaving us with a dent in our brand new, very expensive floor. They said they had to special order more flooring to extend the flooring into the laundry entryway. We waited and waited for them to come back, but they never did. We decided not to have them deal with the one damaged plank, thinking they would probably mess it up even more. We didn't have a great contractor, which didn't help. After this experience, we went with another place for our bathroom tile and granite. We thought since they had been in business forever, there would be no problems. We were wrong. Do not recommend at all.

Terrible experience - 2 tiles have cracks in them already and they will not repair them! Installation was shoddy and mediocre. Poor quality work. Beware.

Our basement flooded after the last storm and we were not covered by insurance because the water didn't come up the floor drain. We went in to Summit & picked tile and carpet & someone came to give us an estimate a week later. Rich M. said he'd call us in the next day or so. A week later, no call, so I contacted the store in the morning & was told Rich would call me back in the afternoon. By 4pm, he hadn't called, & I called the store & was told he'd call me back first thing this morning. At 10am I hadn't received a call & I contacted the store & asked to speak to a manager, who was "on the phone" & would call me back. At 11am an extremely rude woman called me back & said she "highly doubted" I had tried to contact the store because she hadn't heard of it. This is a terrible way to treat customers. If you are looking for fast, friendly & reliable service, I recommend contacting Al at Hi Neighbour.

My partner and I recently hired Ideal Floor Covering to install new carpets in two rooms and on two staircases in our home. We were thrilled with both the service we received and with the end result. When we initially went to the showroom, Dan provided us with a number of choices in the price range we were looking for. He was attentive and his recommendations in terms of colour were right on point. Dan also explained the importance of a good underpad for our carpet and it made such a huge difference! Our carpets were installed while we were away on vacation, and we came back to stunning new carpets! We were super impressed with how clean our home was left after the install- aside from the new carpet, you would never know that anyone was in our home at all. In short, we received amazing service and we absolutely love our carpets. We would recommend Ideal Floor Covering in a heartbeat!

This company was responsible for installing the flooring in our new home. Poor quality product and installation staff. Hardwood flooring throughout home has required replacement twice in two years (entire floor). Plaza has been an absolutely headache to deal with. Instead of accepting responsibility and making things right, they blame the subcontractors they hire. Home was built in June of 2016 and as of writing this review, there is still work to be completed and I am out of pocket for some expenses. The remainder of the repairs will need to be carried out going through Tarion. I would absolutely shop somewhere else.

Not only are they over priced in the market any chance they get to take advantage they capitalize on, that is why all these reviews for instillation are so poor because they have repeatedly ripped off any and every installer in the city that is any good. I warn everyone to avoid shopping there. I would rate them at negative 3 stars but 1 Star is the minimum.

I bought four different tile for our Reno and they screwed up every one. The grout they sold me was terrible. Contractor get the good stuff and the public gets garbage. They tried to set me up for failure but I am an excellent tile setter. They gave me the wrong tile twice and the wrong color grout once. The lasted order was short by 13 sq ft. The manager was suppose to call me for some sort of compensation but never did. I spent $2000 in their store and thought I'd get professional products. Instead the staff probably have never installed a tile in their life and are sadly clueless. I rate them 0 stars. I don't know how they stay in business. Stay away.

Hampton stone is the Premier Stone fabrication shop in Windsor. Owner operator Frank Travo is a master at templating and fabricating Stone. Their quality control is exceptional and above standard. The attention to detail is incredible and the meticulous craftsmanship goes above and beyond. I highly recommend Hampton Stone for all Stone quartz and stone Affiliated material. You cannot find a better shop in Windsor , or for that matter Southwestern Ontario.

We purchased a vinyl plank floor from Mike. The product and the installation are good, with one exception. We had a misunderstanding about levelling a hump in a doorway. That is an honest mistake. However, when I requested a solution, I was told that I would need to pay for the levelling, even though I understood it to be in the orginal price. The expensive installation was completed in three hours, which seemed to be rushed, but that didn't deter me. However, having said that, when I suggested that I wasn't going to pay more, and that I would get back with Mike to let him know my next steps, he hung up on me. Rather unprofessional on both counts, that is placing the misunderstanding on the customer to resolve, with more money, and then hanging up the phone on the customer. The misunderstanding would have created a score of 4 in this rating system for me. The hanging up of the telephone bumped him down to a 2. I am soon to replace flooring in my home, and will look to other companies.

Well. Price was too good to be true. Wrong color tiles mixed into 3 of our 15 boxes. One box completely wrong color. 3 weeks lapse between buying tile and install = where we found the problems. Brought back wrong box + 3 mixed in tile. They no longer carry that tile. Uhm..excuse me? We're 70% into our install! They found 3 boxes of identical but not perfect match boxes and asked full price! My hub insisted they make a deal. I gave them the sq ft of my addition. We needed 2 more boxes. Major snafus all around. Never again.

We had our bathroom and basement redone last year. We went with Palazzi for tile, granite, and marble after a bad experience with another place when we had our basement flooring installed. Our contractor had his tile guy do the tile and marble installation. Nothing wrong with the tile delivery. We had so much trouble with the marble, though. First piece had deep gouges in it, so we had to wait for more to be delivered. Replacement marble broke during installation because it had been broken and repaired, so it was weak. Next batch of replacement marble cracked during installation due to same issue, but by this point we were several months into a six week reno and left it. Palazzi installed the granite counter and backsplash for the vanity. During installation, were were told the granite we chose is difficult to work with and he wouldn't have recommended it. Meanwhile, no one told us this when we chose it, and it isn't like we went with some weird colour combo or anything. I am sure we could have gone with something else had we known. He said he had to do the back backsplash section in two pieces, and seamed it badly behind faucet so there would be no way to hide with tissue box or whatever. Later, we noticed the back piece was cracked and repaired badly. I am guessing the backsplash broke during installation or on truck and was glued/epoxied here, but it wasn't noticeable until later when glue/epoxy cured and darkened. Had them back and backsplash was replaced without having to seam this time, and guy acted like it was stupid to have seamed it in the first place, meanwhile it was the same guy. He didn't mention the broken and repaired piece when he came back. Neither did I since, again, we were several months into the reno, we were tired of fighting with people, and just wanted it over. So to recap, tile was fine, marble was a huge pain in the rear, and they tried to get away with installing broken and repaired granite. The marble and granite problems delayed our reno by many weeks. I don't recommend them at all.

If you want cheap flooring by all means go and buy it here. By no means though have them install it. They have messed up our order 3 times. My husband had to help them load the floors into the car and one person helping said that loading it “wasn’t convenient for them”. Absolute garbage associates have no idea what they’re doing. Been a month and the trim isn’t back on our floor. Probably going to have to sue them for unfinished work. Buy floors here then be done with them.

Please stay away from this guy. All these good reviews are fake! He did a horrible job with our renovation and multiple other renovations we heard about after we had ours done. He has been sued multiple times for his horrible work and has had to change the name of his company because of how bad his work is. Joe Lucier, the owner of "Superior General Maintenance and Renovations" is now operating under "Interior Renovations", which should have tipped us off. Why would you abandon an established company and start doing business under completely new one? Unfortunately, my wife hired him. Joe Lucier is a dishonest person. He will promise anything to get the job, lie to your face repeatedly and never admit or own up to his lies even when he clearly did not do what he promised. DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY MONEY until the job is fully done. Don’t get talked into any advance payments like my wife did. This guy pretends to be a family man and a good guy. But he has no problem cheating and taking advantage of other people’s families. Word needs to spread about this bad apple. People who leave misleading positive reviews for their friends are helping dishonest people like Joe Lucier to keep taking advantage of people. Look at this joker - her left a 5 star review for himself.

I've known Joe for a number of years now. Joe is honest to a fault and doesn't pull any punches. He's got a lot of integrity. Every now and then I'd run into him over the years. More recently, I needed some advice on how to approach something and thought he might have the right approach. Again he was brutally up front, but his advice was very helpful! Ya gotta admire someone that builds two successful businesses after the post-industrial apocalypse. Shows a lot of character. I recommend him and his Superior Team for sure!

Joe and his team does absolutely excellent work. He refinished my basement about 4 months ago and a rental unit a few years ago. Both times extremely happy with the result. What was most impressive is that i had a water pipe burst Thursday night and he was at my house 15 minutes after I called him for help the following day. 2 hours after that, he had his team over working on it, including the plumber to fix the leak. All of this on a Friday. Service and response time simply outstanding. You won't find anyone with better workmanship and caring service. I would recommend his team to everyone.

I was looking for an established company who was dependable, honest, clean, respectable and who would pay attention to detail. Joe and his team stepped up to the plate and did an outstanding job with several renovations to my home, and they completed the work within the time frame that was agreed to. Added bonus....right on the contract, it states that they have liability insurance/wsib coverage.

Their prices are competitive with everyone else but they have a different selection then the other box stores. I recently bought a cordless Porter Cable drill and got a free battery with it which I think was a super super deal. Watch for their sales flyer for the best deals.

As per other comments, I find the floor service, cashiers and the store in general to be a good place to shop. THEN here comes the Customer Service counter. Should be renamed Customer Abuse Counter..... Disappointing service today at this location. Been shopping at this location for a number of years. Today, I had a price match on an item where Home Depot had a better regular price. The floor employee confirmed the item as a price match and sent me to checkout. Checkout sent me to the Service desk. Small inconvenience but no big deal. Employee at the service desk was not helpful at all and proceeded to give me a hard time re the item match despite an exact match on the model number. In the end the purchase along with a few other items were finally punched in. She obviously was not a happy camper and took it out on me. I paid and then she shoved the loose items towards me. I asked for a bag, then the hard time went into overdrive. "We charge 5 cents for these you know!!" was her terse response. Sure, ring up a $180 order, don't ask if they need a bag and then hassle the customer for one 5 cent bag. Not even so much as a thank you from this Customer Service person. Well done. Next time I need anything, will be going to Home Depot.

Love the floor staff but find the Customer Service Department very difficult to deal with. It is almost as if they're trained to be anti-customer. I have spent tens of thousands at Lowe's but will be avoiding it for some time. Home Depot almost seems joyful in comparison.

Lowe's has a good selection of products for the home and home improvement. The store is very large with nice, wide aisles. There is a lot of parking. We have bought several things at Lowe's over the past year and have been happy with all of our purchases. The only thing that was a problem was that the exit door would not work properly. It is an automatic door normally, but needed to manually slide it open and shut. This is not a simple task. On a nice day, they could have propped it open, but it was the coldest day if the year, so it needed to stay closed. Perhaps they could have asked for the person who was standing beside it to help open it for anyone who struggled with it.

This store is a good size, with plenty of selection and stock of items. They have a great ship to store option. The only downside is it can take a few mins to get your item, depending on size and staff availability. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I really like how they have everything on display - that makes the difference. There is plenty not parking and they do have a large seasonal section and is fully stocked in the spring and summer.

Buyer Beware! We purchased $30,000 worth of high-end/installed flooring from Marquis for our new home last year. After the protective membrane was removed we discovered the edges were splintering and the splintering is getting worse. They do not return calls so we have no choice but to commence legal action. What a shame and a waste of time/money. Obviously once you walk out the front door you are on your own.
