Awesome experience, first class facilities that make you feel relaxed and at ease from the time you walk in. More importantly the acupuncture treatment had me free from my back pain that had previously had no improvement in 5 weeks prior. Swelling , limited movement , stiffness all disapated by the end of the session. I never had acupuncture before and Jayme explained thoroughly the process , what to expect and continued to talk to me through the treatment and explain what was happening each step. I was so lucky to find Holly at this clinic. I had an injury at the gym and was able to book an appointment very quickly. Holly was amazing, she did a very thorough consultation and noticed I was also carrying a lot of tension in my upper back and neck. So aside from working on my injury, she also worked on my upper back and I really appreciated this. First she did ‘cupping’ which I was totally new to and it felt amazing. It really warmed up my muscles so that when she put in the acupuncture needles, I didn’t feel them at all! She also massaged me with a healing stone and burned Chinese herbs. Holly was a pleasure to talk with and very informative. It’s the next day and I feel so much better! I can’t wait to go back. And the prices are ridiculously affordable when you consider all the treatment you’re getting.

Sarah is amazing at creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere that I was so relaxed that I almost fell asleep during the treatment. She applied several modalities in my treatment plan that include acupuncture, moxibustion, Shiatsu. She explained to me that she also add some points to increase my energy since body experienced some deficiencies. I felt relaxed, pain-free and energetic(the next day) after the treatment. The administration is extremely responsive, friendly and open to receive input. The environment is conducive to learning, and to being a bit of a second home. I would highly recommend this school.

Came here on a recommendation from a colleague. I was not sleeping well for a while and thought I'd try anything. After initial consultation, I was prescribed to have acupuncture. I requested cupping, thinking that was what I needed, but was consulted that acupuncture was more appropriate for what I needed. Emily, was my doctor and she was awesome. Never tried to oversell me what I did not need. Very experienced and knowledgeable which have me a lot of ease. I really appreciate that sure did not try to sell me other products and services I did not necessarily need. Honest and thoughtful, which have me a lot of comfort. Treatments were effective, never hurt and always felt extremely relaxed after every visit. After 3 visits my sleeping patterns shifted to shallow, restless, 4 hour sleeps to deeper, better quality and now I'm back to 7 hours at least. I strongly recommend. Even was able to treat my grinding of the teeth. I've walked by the clinic many times not knowing they were there. What a gem in the Danforth area.

Wow! What Susan can do with her needles is absolutely amazing! Both my parents were medical doctors, I was brought in environment that was against anything but main stream medicine. As I have learned through personal experience, other treatments can be as or more effective. I took a medication and had devastating side effects. It caused me debilitating headaches! I could not read for 5 minutes or even bend over to tie my shoe without my head feeling like it was going to exploded. Was unable to work and basically do anything I liked to do on my free time. Saw all the specialists and had all the tests done, with no solutions available to me. Just wait for the side effects to go away. It could have been years or never. Someone suggested Susan. What did I have to lose. Within 5 treatments she had gotten rid of 90% of my headaches! I have a career that requires me to have all my faculties at 100%. Work did not want me back until I was completely functional. That took another 3-4 months of treatments. I got my health back and after a lot of studying, 6 weeks of training and exams, I was able to get my career back! On a side note. While I was getting my health back I injured my knee and foot to the point I could hardly walk up the stairs to her office. To much exercise. Susan put a few needles in and it was like magic. I could not believe it! I usually go to a clinic that takes care of two of the professional teams in Toronto. They could never have fixed me up that quickly! Susan Hu is my go-to-specialist because of the magic she does with acupuncture and her drive for the continuous learning and usage of the most innovative treatments. From body aches and pains, food cravings, migraines and incontinence to facial and neck lift (talking from my own experience) and anything in between. After over 1 year of suffering from IBS like issues ... a friend recommended Alison to me (but she had different reasons for seeing her but I saw with my own eyes how great the results were for her). I was so frustrated not seeing any results after following a strict FODMAP diet and trying to figure out the cause so when I came to Alison ... she opened up a new world of awareness / understanding of my body and my eating that I would not have known on my own or if I followed through traditional medicine practice . My first time here I was struck by the soothing atmosphere at ToCA. The receptionist is a kind lady that walks you through everything sweetly and get you oriented. I've had 2 sessions now, both with Brenna Lewis. I'm not sure what is more therapeutic; the acupuncture or Brenna herself. She really cares about everyone that comes into that place and you can feel it. From the moment she began assessing me I felt confident she knew what she was doing and was impressed by her intuition. The acupuncture was interesting and at times I could feel a subtle pulse rushing through me. For me taking a nap in a room full of strangers is a very weird experience even though the ToCA peeps put me at ease. I didn't really sleep the first time but did notice a marked improvement in my sleep. The 2nd time I went was a different story! Brenna remembered me and was genuinely interested in my results. As with before; just talking to Brenna was soothing. This time however the acupuncture was powerful! I felt intense relaxation but thought I stayed awake the whole time. After what I felt was 30 minutes Brenna checked up on how I was. She debriefs me, and it turns out I was asleep for an hour and a half and was completely unresponsive in that time lol... I am NOT a heavy sleeper. Lovely experience! I am not afraid of my sleep time struggle tonight, for there will be no struggle.

I was referred to Ryan at Avenue Acupuncture by a friend of mine; going to see Ryan was one of the best decisions of my life! I have been dealing with serious eye issues for a few years now and Avenue Acupuncture is one of the few places that specializes in eyes so I felt confident I was in the right place. I went from using eye drops for glaucoma up to 17 times per day to not needing any drops at all and avoiding another eye surgery! I am also seeing a ton of additional benefits from the consistent acupuncture treatments, the results are blowing me away. For several months I was experiencing chronic pain in both arms and my neck which was caused by a pinched nerve. Could not sleep and day to day tasks were out of the question. After several visits to the family doctor and the only solution that they had said was to operate. That was out of the question. I have seen a lot of Chinese practitioner and I must say Dr. Yuxiang Wang is the best I have seen in Toronto. She has a vast knowledge of TCM diagnosis and she is able to communicate with you your problem from the perspective of TCM. Dr. Wang has a mannerism that encourages you to talk without judgement. She can spend 15 minutes listening to you without rushing you to conclude. But the most important of all her herbal formula works. I trust her with treatment as simple as common cold to more complicated endocrinology problems like diabetes and hyperparathyroidism. This is private medicine but you do not feel like she is there for your money. Her fee is very reasonable and you have the option of buying the herbs there or not. I had referred friends there and they all thank me for the referral.

Dr. Alan Wang, Julie and Ron are all a gift two people in pain, with illness, misery or going through a hard time. Until I started seeing them 20 years ago I had no idea what it felt like to be taken care of in a healthcare setting. Not only did they cure me of arthritis which had plagued me for 10 years, anytime I have a small ailment starting up they are the first people I go visit. The reason is that they are a salve for the human body, they are Healers!

I visited Dr. Allen many years ago and have yet to find ANYONE who comes close. I no longer live in Toronto so am unable to visit but when I did go to Dr. Allen, I went several times and each time was better than the last. He is a healer in every sense of the world. He literally detects energy in your body to diagnose and treat you. He sensed I had a cyst in my ovaries based on the energy he was receiving and urged me to go to get an ultrasound. I did have a cyst. I sent my younger brother who had a growth on his spine that conventional doctors said would require multiple surgeries. Dr. Allen first of all sensed my brother's growth without him even telling him about it and then treated it in two sessions. It is completely gone to this day. I cannot say enough good things about this amazing man and his practice.
