The technician was rude, and was not gentle at all when she was taking off my acrylics. Taking them off left my fingers in pain even when the polish was being put on! The price was changed THREE TIMES. I called and was told that taking them off, and putting new ones were on was 39.00 WITH TAX. And then got told in the chair that they were 45.00. At checkout, they charged me 50. Decent price, but I could have been told ahead of time. The selection of colours could be improved. My technician would often tug at my hands without care. I will NOT be going back, and I most certainly would not recommend this place. The only good part about my visit was the atmosphere was pretty. I'll stay with my original place.

Went in a couple of months ago ... spoke to the owner and showed her a picture of a "natural looking nail since I know a lot of places aren't able to do that well. She looked at the pic, then at my hands and made a face like she thought I was crazy and said "the picture has a nice small hand in it and yours are not that way; yours are too big!" Thank you ... I went across to Famous nails and she did exactly what I needed, with no mention of my big ugly hands and no disgusted face ... for under $40

I’ve been with Paradise Nails since they opened. The service is outstanding. I have very sensitive nails, which means you have to go slower. They are very gentle with my nails and spend the time to remove and refrill without causing any discomfort to my nails. My nail design is always outstanding! which is now what I’m knowing for. I always leave feeling super happy. Most importantly the salon is very clean. When I call they always find a way to accommodate me.

I really don't recommend this place; I had my nails done just before Christmas, and 3 months later they are still trying to recover. The woman who did my nails filed WAY too low and left my nails weak and brittle, so they constantly break now. Really unhappy :(

Got a Mani pedi for a great price, salon is spotless and team is very friendly. Had to bring my 3 yo along and they were very sweet, put on cartoons for him and chatted him up while we were there. My sister and I visited this salon and had a horrible experience!! I’ve been getting bio gel for 10+ years and this is one of the worst places I’ve ever been. I had a bio gel refill done which were soo thick and uneven. I asked for the same shape as I previously had which did not happen. I tried to ask for them to be reshaped but it was not done any better no matter how much I asked. They also didnt have 2 of the colours I tried to get. My sister got a bio gel full set and her nails were so incredibly thick. She had 2 nails fall off within 24 hours of getting them done. She went back to the salon to have them fixed, they fixed them for free however the shape and thickness did not match her previous nails. Within 5 days almost all her nails fell off. She didn’t both going back to get them fixed. What made the experience the worst is they constantly told us how theyre the best salon in St. Catharines and how they care so much about customer service and taking their time to do good job... umm I beg to differ. The only reason I’m giving them 2 stars is because the salon was very clean. If you’re getting bio gel please think twice before going here!

Absolutely horrendous experience here for eyelash extensions. I was in town for the week and was desperate for some extensions (I normally get them done in Toronto). The lady who did my eyelashes is clearly not trained to properly apply eyelash extensions and she barely asked for my opinion on what I wanted before starting. First of all, she used low-quality lashes that felt like hard plastic. She also used TAPE (the kind you use for arts and crafts, not for skin) rather than an eye patch to cover my bottom lids (it hurt like a B when she removed it at the end). Throughout the process, she kept complaining that the lashes kept sticking together because I curled my lashes earlier. I always curl my lashes before getting extensions at other places and it has NEVER been a problem. Halfway through the appointment, my eyelids started stinging a little and I already knew something was wrong but decided to tough it out. When she was done, I could barely open my eyes and there was glue all around my eyelids. She definitely did not apply these lashes properly and my eyes stung for hours. The eyelashes also looked pretty bad and I felt like something was poking my eyelid. She dismissed all of my concerns and did not care at all when I told her that the lashes were far from what I asked for (I wanted natural-looking, shorter lashes). I had them removed the same day. I wish I could ask for my money back and will absolutely never ever come here again. Wish I could give this zero stars.

This is a terrible terrible nail salon. First she told us $30.00 for acrylic nails. When we got there the colours for shellac nails were all ugly.....idk what happened but somewhere in the process she started using a gel powder colour....I’m not even sure all i know Is it costed more and she never mentioned it. She stuck TWO fake nails together so when you flipped your palms upward you could see on the one nail ; two nails glued together. My friend wanted an ombré affect on the nails and she didn’t even have the right toools ie; an airbrush. She dapped the two colour nail polishes with a cheap eyeshadow sponge !! Everything g about the nails were hideous ...at that she charged &70.00 bum dollars for arts and crafts on my friends nails . Don’t go here. I shouldve Known by the location it would be terrible

I’ve been going to Hanna’s nails for two years. She does my lashes and nails. I’ve never had any problems about my nails hurting or the nail colour (shellack) peeling off. Hanna is very thorough and her work is superb. I would highly recommend her.

Went to this place and had my nails done and within a week and a couple days 2 nails fell off! And I also asked for a design i wanted which was beyond super easy and to add the designs were done on the wrong fingers and also missing details as well.. Not happy at all.. If I went to my usual place i wouldn't have to sorry about my nails getting fixed for almost 2 months and i wouldn't have to worry about them messing up on the design and details i want.. And also way cheaper then this place.. I Will never go back! this is the second time ive been back to this place due to getting a nail or 2 replaced within a short period of time!

Brought my girlfriend to do her nails. I love the results. Michael took his time and ensured her nails were to her liking. Best time to go is during the morning, earlier the better as it gets quit busy. I seen that they had regulars there. Very friendly staff, free Wi-Fi with password. Not a flashy place but the quality of work is beyond amazing. This is a quality place. I must say I haven't personally gotten any work done on myself but my girl was definitely satisfied. We will be returning and I will be getting myself pampered. Pretty Nails also offers a variety of services ranging from Mani / Pedi, waxing to massages. Great place to check out. Only two workers there when we went not sure if they have more employees.

I went to this place and got shellac coat over my real nails. 2 days later it started to chip very noticeable not 1 not 2 but 5 nails did. When I went back they only offered to redo the one nail. You can see the rest were starting to lift. For 1 shellac does not chip within 2 days. For two I had to take my time and gas to go back to this place. For 3 it cost me $25 to get the shellac done (ridiculous) but I still payed it. And instead of redoing my nails they wouldn't and now they have lost a customer. $25 for some nail polish that chips off in 2 days wow do not recommend this place at all

I used to love this place- really love it for the customer service and dedication to detail. On froday Dec. 21st I went there to get my nails done for my anniversary after making an appointment in the morning for the afternoon. I was 15 minutes behind due to Homiday traffic and called 20 minutes before the appointment to let them know. I arrived and they knew I had wanted both a pedicure and manicure. I then told them I wanted a French manicure with tips as my nails were short and I wanted them to last through the Holiday. I wanted Gel- they have me Shellac Gel which I am told is the same thing. Instead of using white tips he actually used polish to paint on the white. The manicure was going well and Michael, the one giving me the manicure assures me he is going to file down my nails better and make sure they are not round bulges from too much gel as he was layering it on. At some point another customer enters in and he starts rushing through my nails. My nails were unevenly filed, the gel was really thick that I knew within three days it would lift so i asked him to not put it on thick and he said no natural. In the end i left I happy. The manicure and pedicure cost me $98.00- money I could have given to someone else to do them. Becaue of prior experience- I knew to wear gloves when washing dishes or my hairs one day later the gel was separating. $98.00 and by Boxing Day- My naila had to be refilled for the gaps. $98.00 it cost me. I was so unhappy and I will never go here again. The place has lost its magic, beauty and attention to individual customers. It has become like every other Vietnamese place that rushes its customers through their hands. $98.00 I spent and this is the result 3 days later — not to mention my first finger - has waves of gel that are uneven and although they look pretty from a distance- I won’t let anyone look at my fingers up close. The pedicure was great but again not service worth $98.00. Spend the extra money on gas and go to Athena in the falls or the one place run by sisters on Garrison road in Fort Erie.

Horribe experience! Went to get acrylics done. Later that day I had to get them removed because they were way to painful!! Took 35 minutes to get them done and almost 3 hours to get them removed. The plastic nails were very thick. There was a few layers of acrylic put onto one nail ! The nail glue was heaped onto my nail and around my nails! The person doing my nails kept tugging my hand. The layers of nail polish had light spots. I wish I had an example of how thick my nails were! To top it all off this was my first experience. I do not recommend this place.

I went in today for some acrylics, and the gentleman who did my nails was absolutely phenomenal. Not only did he do an amazing job, but he was a pleasure to talk to. I regret not catching his name, but he made sure to pay attention to every detail and made my experience wonderful. All I know is that he has been there six months and had longer hair on the top. Definitely go see him if you are able to.

This is my second time coming, the first time was alright. Friendly staff etc. The second time my nails were done by this other tech, the shape and size of each nail is completely different. Tech cut it way shorter that I had asked and put so much nail polish that my thumbs look like they’re swollen. They were using that machine to cut my nails which I asked please not to because I could see it was way shorter than I wanted.... but tech kept using it :( It really depends which tech you get, they are really nice and friendly but I’m just so disappointed on how my nails look this time.

I had a terrible experience. My nails were not painted nice at all . I came back to show them and Linda the women who did the poor job said I do it better. Then she was extremely rude and saying who knows what in her language about me. I was so uncomfortable that I then said I just want my money back. She also cut my finger very painful. They then took the shalac off leaving my nails thin and brittle. Horrible place. Rude to customers. And I don't think they sanitize their tools .BE CAREFUL 😢

2 of my nails are crooked. The design is long lasting. No chips. The lady that did the designs was unfriendly. The girl that did my gel nails was nice but quiet. I am unsure of my over opinion, not a bad but could be better.

ZERO STARS NEVER GO HERE I have been to star nails twice in the past, and today was my third time. My first time going, I asked for square shaped nails and the woman gave me coffin. When I asked her if she could file it so that it would be square, she started telling me in a sassy and rude way that this is what I asked for. Today when I returned, two months later, I got the same woman. I thought maybe she was just having a bad day last time so I’d give her a second chance instead of asking for someone different. While she was shaping them, my nails looked ok. I paid $15 extra for chrome nails, and once they were done, it looked so awful. The woman had built up the top coat so thick that it actually was wider at the top than at the bottom. After realizing this in my car, I went inside and asked the woman at the front desk politely if I could get them filed. The woman who originally did my nails came to file them and without me even saying anything, she immediately started raising her voice and arguing with me that it was my fault because I didn’t want coffin (even though that’s what I had after she finished). I was so taken back by how rude she was being and I asked again if she could just file the sides so they weren’t so wide. I have never had such awful looking nails. Then, she started arguing with me about how it’s what I asked for and that this is what happens when you get chrome. I said to her calmly “you are being extremely rude and I paid extra for the chrome, all I asked for was for them to be filed at the sides” she kept arguing and was yelling. Another woman then came and she began explaining in a loud voice that I asked for it. As the other woman fixed them, she was standing over her speaking in a different language and being very loud and rude. The woman fixing my nails was very polite and redid the nails from scratch without me even asking. The whole time all I asked for was a file and the woman said she can only fix it by re doing it. She acknowledged the time it would take and asked if there was somewhere I had to be. Once she was done they looked so much better. I will never go back here again. This is no way to treat your customers and I have never experienced such rude service when I am the one paying and all I asked for was to file my nails so they weren’t as wide. I didn’t get a photo before I had them fixed but this is exactly what my nails looked like. Horrific. Never go here.

Never going back. I asked for shellac manicure and it was so poorly done and rushed. My nails were not filed properly and most of them are wavy at the tip instead of straight. At the end when they were supposed to massage my hands with the lotion, she just applied it and said “done”. Worst experience ever. I would never recommend Star Nails. Please do not waste your money at this place.

I asked for gradient glitter on white polish. The polish was all over my cuticles, and could tell he was not a professional nail technician. The glitter was chunky, un even, and he put the glitter on my whole nail, instead of the gradient that I had asked for after he rudely asked his previous client who was paying for her set, to come over to show the "great" work he did on her. He thought he did a wonderful job, but I saw the opposite on my hands.

Made an appointment two weeks in advance for two manicures. We were there for almost 2.5 hours. They cut both me and my friend, and they told me it was $42 so I have him a $50 and we had to argue to get our change back so we could tip. Super disappointed. Woke up the next morning and the bottom of my nails are a completely different colour .It looks HORRIBLE!

I started coming here in September and have been coming every two weeks since. I visited yesterday to have my nails done because prior to yesterday visit the job that was done was not very good. The shellac started to chip and peel in the first week. So I returned in 8 days. I asked to have all my nails dipped this time as my nails are thin and in my previous visit the girl dremeled the hell out of them. This visit was even worse ! I asked for a French manicure with rounded shape. My nails are lumpy , rough around the edges , the white powered used for the tips is in the clear o the nail bed, the shape is terrible and uneven. Just a horrible job it looks like a child did them. I will not be returning.

I feel comfortable at nice one nails salon. The managers Amy & Henry are very friendly and professional and the service is always great. I am biased though as Priti is the best! Her mani pedis are excellent and if there is ever an issue with something g she will fix it for you if you go back in.

This place is horrible, as I was choosing my nail colour it had been maybe 2 minutes on and the one technician told me to hurry up. Then there was a older man technician who honestly cannot see as he painted the cuticles on my nails. Looked like a child was painting my nails. He was very rude and had a very mean demeanour. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE

I thought this was a nail salon not a daycare centre!!!!! Not only were the staff rude, but they had their young children running around the salon. touching the tools and contaminating them!!!! This is probably why the other reviewers nail fell off!!! The girl was very rude and the whole process was rushed so she could get off work quicker and take her kids home. The result was TERRIBLE... I might have well just done my own nails. Not only were my nails streaky but half of them smudged after I left bc she applied the polish too thick. Gift cards are a rip off here! They always lie about the value of the services and try to cut corners wherever they can. After looking at the price list I realized I was ripped off. Worst salon I’ve ever been to!

i had gotten my daughter acrylic nails that were done amazing, they are so sweet to their customers i love there the viarty of colours and they ask if it is good for you to make sure you like what you get if you want to get nails done you should really go here. it is sorta expensive for acrylic coffin shaped nails $65 but for the way they look they are amazing i will go there again. but maybe lower the prices :) i just love how the lady was supper sweet to my daughter because she told her if they break she will fix them for free within the first 2 weeks of having them

I have been going to this Salon for approximately 7 yrs, although its changed hands a few times, I still get top service!! Tia and Pinky are my favourites. I bring my own tools no matter where I go, that's a personal choice. When I make an APPOINTMENT, I am taken quickly. I watch people "walk-in" and get all grumpy when they can't be taken right away. I always enjoy my "me time" here and have brought many friends as well. I have natural nails therefore I cannot comment on Gels and such. Pinky and TIA always take my personal tools and clean them which is a nice added touch. I have attempted to go to other places (because I had a gift certificate or it was a "girls day" that was booked for several of us at once.) Truth is I just come right back here the next time!! See you soon ladies!!

No communication. Shellac was sanded off. This causes damage to the nail.i was not asked if I want my nails cut.or what shape I wanted. Going in I had a good nail length and chose a deep burgundy nail polish. The male associate cut one of my nails short without asking. The rest had to be cut to look uniform and as a result of them being short , I had to choose a lighter colour. Will not be returning.very disappointed.

Soda Hair Group is comparable to a Manhattan NY salon. I felt so pampered. The entire team is talented, professional and fun. Amber is a very friendly knowledgeable hairstylist !
