I thought the service was fine but, unfortunately, there was a hose and a cap left unattached after they worked on my car. Although not in this case, such negligence can lead to serious consequences. Luckily I happened to find them while I was refilling the window wash fluid shortly after the service. While other aspects of their service were just fine, leaving the car with loose or missing parts is not acceptable. Hopefully this was an isolated incident and, judging by other reviewers comments, it most likely was.

Very mechanic-leery person, here. I had to get my rear brakes done, so I asked for a quote, and was given one. That's what I ended up paying, no surcharges for random things, and nobody tried to sell me on any work I didn't need. Cordial staff and quick service; I left feeling relieved that if I ever have any work that needs to be done on my car, I have a garage that I trust.

I came to Total Auto Repair to get a control arm replaced as well as a wheel alignment. The staff was very friendly right from the minute I walked in. By simply talking to Ian and watching different customer interactions it was clear that Total Auto Repair takes really good care of their clients. Without any doubt in my mind this was the most honest vehicle servicing experience that I ever experienced (believe me, I have dealt with many crooked mechanics before). I had a Mitsubishi Lancer, and I showed Dave a photo of four rally lights that were installed on the bumper and grill of a Lancer race car. I told him that I was a university student and didn't have a big budget, but really wanted that look. They definitely delivered! They did the work in a reasonable budget (hundreds of dollars less than other places that quoted me), and the workmanship was phenomenal. I kept the car for half a decade and I never had any problems with the mounting or wiring. I got so many positive comments from random people about those lights. Definitely recommend this shop for car modifications! I no longer live in the Niagara region, but if I ever need work done and I am in that area, I'm definitely going here again!

My recent visit to Total Auto Repair was the most positive repair service experience ever. Not only were the staff knowledgeable and friendly, they informed me of servicing that would improve the performance of the replacement parts they had just installed. No other repair shop has ever done that. The cost was reasonable and the work was done quickly. Dave showed me the parts that had been replaced, and I am just glad I got in when I did. I brought my car in for repairs to Performance Collision Feb 28th 2019. I had great service when I first arrive from Jenny and wonderful follow up from Jessica. Unfortunately, the parts needed for my car were on back order and they had to keep my car for a month. My insurance company extended the rental car once, after a ton of run around and exceptions. Understanding how frustrated I was with the whole situation, Jessica continued to follow up with my insurance company on my behalf. When my insurance coverage refused to extend my rental car any farther, Jessica and Jenny looked at getting my a loaner car from my dealership. Luckily, they were able to put a rush on my repairs and I never had to pay out of pocket for my rental car. They knew how frustrated I was with the whole situation and ensured that they did everything they could to get me back in my car as soon as possible. I definitely appreciated all their help and updates!

Brought a car in to fix minor corrosion under the warranty. It was supposed to be ready in 8 days, and it took them a full month to get it “ready” (the corrosion on the door was even worse and the car leaked in the rain and filled with water in the bottom), and even then, they left it to the end of the day we picked it up. If that wasn’t bad enough, the brand new brakes that were perfectly fine upon dropping it off mysteriously had all the bleeder screws loosened to the point that the brakes barely worked. Unimpressed, and will not go there in the future.

Never, Never Again!!! ( Beware...This is a LONG rant) I would never subject any person to the level of customer service that we received at our latest visit. 1 week to get parts (for a Dodge product, which falls under the Performance umbrella) and 7 FULL business days to have a rear panel painted on a Ram truck. Red flags should have went up when it took 1 hour give or take, to have an estimate done on our truck. Once again, there was a small dent and some surface scratches at the rear of the bed in the truck and some scuffs on the wheel rim. We were told by the estimator that they would try to have our vehicle done within 5 days so that we wouldn't be without a second vehicle for too long. (I work out of town and my husband had to arrange for rides to and from work). The truck was dropped off Sunday evening so that the vehicle was there and ready for Monday morning. On Wednesday, my husband contacted our estimator and inquired the progress of the work. Thursday he received a response The email states.... "Your vehicle is still moving through production, unfortunately it is still difficult to say when the vehicle will be completed. We are trying our absolute best to have it completed as soon as possible, if you don't hear from me tomorrow I will touch base with you Monday." Friday... No call. We sent an email as to our displeasure with the service (NOTE: we were invoiced for 20.3 hours of billable labour) and the lack communication. Monday... No response to the email sent Friday Tuesday... No response to the email. HOWEVER we received a phone call at 2:50 IN THE AFTERNOON to say our vehicle was ready. Absolutely no foresight to check the status of the vehicle and call earlier in the day so that arrangements could be made to pick up the vehicle. The receptionist was informed that the vehicle would be picked up the following morning at 10:30. Wednesday... when I came into the facility, AT 10:30am, I was told that the estimators were in a meeting. "Would you mind waiting?" We JUST waited 7 FULL BUSINESS days for this to be done and you were informed that I would be in at 10:30am.... OF COURSE I MIND WAITING AS I HAD ALREADY MISSED WORK THAT MORNING Then came the excuses: 1) When questioned on the delay of the parts: "Well, it is a new vehicle and it takes longer for parts" UMMMM the vehicle is a year old. 2) When questioned on the timeliness of the service (20.3 Hours of Work) and the lack of communication... "I'm not sure what your expectations were" WELL, if wishing for a response to an email was one of the expectations, then there is a serious disconnect. Personally, I think that the center takes on WAY TOO much work and cannot delegate and/or expedite the tasks at hand. On a side note: My mom, who had required work to her vehicle as well, was quoted that the centre would need her vehicle for 2 weeks to have her work completed and that wasn't including waiting for parts. She politely declined. She found another collision centre where they estimated her work, ordered parts and had the work done within one week. The Performance Group as a whole will NEVER see another cent from us.

John Kosuta is a great guy and has a lifetime of experience with imported vehicles. John's dad started the business and John basically grew up around these cars. While John will quote the book rate, he invoices only the actual time the job took - at a labour rate well below what the dealer will charge. Personal service with a wealth of experience at a fair price. What more could you ask for? John fixed a number of things that crept up over the past year on my C350 Mercedes. Everything was looked after and they even drove to Oakville to pick up a part to save me an extra day of downtime. Highly recommended!

Job took exactly 2 hours, they charged for 3. I was there during service so I know the exact time it took. They would not budge on price. They had no reason for the extra cost. Very shady. May be good work, but if you can’t trust them the quality of work means nothing. Save your money and find another import service shop. Would give 0 stars if I could. My bum still hurts from this visit.

I was ready to scrap my 2001 Volvo V70 until I took it here. They had the throttle body rebuilt, reprogrammed it (usually only a dealer can do this) and installed a new fresh air sensor/regulator. The price was reasonable. Results are amazing. Saved me buying a new car.

To Les Trydis one star review: if the job would have taken 4 hours instead the quoted 3 hours would you have paid for four? My guess is no way, but when the tech finishes the quoted job faster you want to pay less? The job labor times are standard across the industry (either Alldata or Mitchell) and if the job time is listed at 3 hrs, that's what you will pay regardless how long it takes the tech to finish the job. The labor times are not "guesstimates" nor are pulled out of a rabbit hat but are real time repairs that shops abide by exactly for the purpose of the customer not being over charged. You obviously have no clue about how auto repair business works and I'm sure your ignorance doesn't stop at that!

You need parts or service on your car? You can not go wrong here. Knowledgeable, busy staff. All makes models and some great deals on cars and trucks as well. A complete auto service center, well known for many years.

Ridiculous experience. A complete waste of time. They won't tell you if they have what you want over the phone, then they tell you it's first-come, first-serve, so you have to physically go down there, see if they have what you want, and then wait around until they can get to you. Before I left, they were telling people it was a 2-3 hour wait. Would it not make more sense to let people buy what they want and come back for it when it's less busy? If your business was run like every other business, you'd have $300 of my money right now. Instead, I bought what I needed off Kijiji for the same price, no waiting. Don't waste your time here. I'm sure the staff is very nice, but the place is run like it's still the 1960s.

Dealing with Ken to purchase the property and one word 'dishonest' it's sad to see that in this day and age people don't stay true to there words. After having an agreement and agreeing to all of Ken's requests he continued to demand more and change his requests a second time. Deserve 5 stars rating: gentle-friendly, helpful, professional services and good work man ship. Highly recommended your first and better choice than the competition including your insurance choices of auto body shops. They don't simply over quote and still honor post-repair warranty, many extra miles to make a customer satisfaction without paying extra. This kind of business model and services you don't find anywhere else in these days. I was stuck in a situation(very minor accident), where my insurance adjuster written off my car. If I would repair at their body shop choice, I have to fork out another $400+ personally. But Platinum Auto Body can repair for 36% less which is a huge savings for me to pay for a rental car. Body shop charges are in the thousands regardless how minor the job. They help me out a lot in this situation and went the extra miles beyond their call of duty. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

I had my van damaged by the car wash beside Platinum. I showed Chris and he helped me so I could open my door. I asked him for an estimate for the repairs. While he was writing up the estimate 2 of his team sort of straightened out the damage. It was temporary as I had to go through my insurance. Two weeks later the van was in the shop and 4 days later I had it back better than ever. They even fixed some door dings and my back bumper step that wasn't in the estimate.These people are outstanding especially Chris and Gary. I will recommend this shop to anyone that asks.

Took my car in for an oil change and my valve cap on my wheel was seized on so the kid reefs on it and breaks my air pressure sensor. I didn't expect them to pay for it even though several people told me I should make them so I bought the part which costs $135 at the dealership and spoke to the manager Andrew on the phone and asked if they could at least install at no charge, a $20 fix,as they broke it. I was then told no and that they didn't break it. If it was seized why would you reef on it if you know they will break? Not impressed! A $50 oil change turned into $185!

I hesitate to give it a four star review but definitely deserves at least four stars due to the amazing staff at the front desk always shows a smile and gives you a great experience. Some of the mechanical staff however need an attitude adjustment and to understand that people work on a budget and to prioritize their needs and not generalize them as a sample of the population. What interests AC and was quoted for $3,000 worth of irrelevant things. Went to another mechanic and had paid $300 to get the same work done, to a standard that I could afford, that would still meet the safety standards. Definitely would recommend for an oil change or smaller pair but for a lengthy repair or possibly costly repair I recommend another mechanical shop.

I am glad that I knew what was my problem was before going to this shop. They were friendly enough - I will give them that.. They were not interested in making the repair that I requested but were more than willing to suggest I needed a muffler that was not needed. To the staff - next time, if your not interested in making the repair, don't suggest a customer needs parts that are not failed. You would of got 5 stars without the lie.

The owner Keith and staff including the friendly Office Manager, Dawn was genuine and very kind, as if I were the only customer being catered to and this MIDAS shop is a very busy place. I got a great deal and to my pleasant surprise since I was 150km from my home Keith even lent me the company van to use (without any charge) to drive to and fro home until my car was repaired the next day. After the old owner (Randy) left, I have received nothing but bad deals and bad service. They quoted me over 1k for brakes and stabilizers which I agreed to not knowing the actual cost. After waiting for an hour and a half and staring at my car in the parking lot (I had an appointment), I decided I would take a quote and go to Canadian Tire. Canadian Tire essentially laughed at the quote, and gave me their quote which was $400 cheaper. I would have easily given a 5-star review had this place been kept the same as when Randy left. Instead, the new owner insists on trying to gouge as much money as possible from unknowing customers. Take your car elsewhere.

It's hard to say that I have had the 'pleasure' of taking my car to Jim and the team because who really wants to have paintwork corrected on their car? I slid in the snow and tagged a guide wire for a telephone pole and cracked the front bumper on my Civic. I know the cost to replace the bumper, so I was a bit stressed out. Jim and Kate took my car, sent me off for the day, and when I picked it up it looked good as new. And WAY cheaper than I had hoped for. It's been almost three years and it still looks perfect.

I took my car to H&R in July 2016 after an accident and the service here is impeccable. They even helped me understand the process of what to ask my Insurance company and gave advice on how the process would go. The car ended up being a write-off but my insurance payout was almost 2x the initial offer because of H&R's advice. I would highly recommend them for their customer service and if they pay as much attention to service of cars as they do customers like myself, then I have no doubt they will service your car well!
