Thank you for the great service. My husband and I rented last week and were very impressed with the staff and cleanliness of the facility. The lady who is in charge is knowledgeable, kind, and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. There are cameras and security dogs. We met the custodian who keeps the place immaculate. We have rented storage units at other places before, but this one is definitely the best!

I highly recommend this storage locker location, in Oshawa. Alan, the man I spoke with, was very helpful and went above and beyond his duties to help me when my move turned into a nightmare. I made the mistake of hiring movers off Kijiji ( NEVER HIRE FROM KIJIJI ). They extorted money from me and made my move a miserable experience. When I arrived at the locker facility, I was upset and needed to rent a larger unit. Alan took care of everything with compassion and genuine concern. He even provided information off the security camera for me, which I will use to go after the scammers from Kijiji. After setting me up in a larger unit, Alan noticed, after I had left, that I had not locked the unit properly. He advised me of this, but I couldn't go back to re-lock the unit. Alan said "No Problem. I can cut-off your lock and put on another lock ." Alan did just that and let me know my locker was properly secured. He wouldn't even take payment for the new lock. He said, his guy had checked the lock and told him it was secure, when it wasn't. He felt responsible and because of that, and wouldn't let me pay for the new lock. Now that, is great customer service. The area is well kept; clean and very accessible. Alan explained everything to me - didn't hide anything, as many places do. I HIGHLY recommend this company and location. I'd give them 10 stars if I could !!!

Storage facilities are in high demand. Called around and finally after 12 calls, there was a 10x10 available at StorageMart in Oshawa. When I met with Allan this past week to pick up my keys and see the unit, he was so nice and helpful. The facilities are so clean. I would recommend StorageMart but in particular the Oshawa location above all.

"It's ok" it's exactly what a 3star review is for. It would be infinitely better if it were accessible outside the hours of 7am-7pm. if you get in before "last call" (7pm), there is still a way out... but they start turning lights off at 7pm, to "encourage" you to be out of the very storage space you are renting. the prices are also too dang high literally the only reason I store my stuff here, is they were the best/only place to get all my stuff stored safely on such short notice. I wish they were better/cheaper than they are. I'm going to Uhaul storage instead. 😅 it's cheaper, cleaner, more accessible, better hours, and they hand out free month storage vouchers like candy. to wit: I rented a trailer ($14.95) to haul stuff to flea market, Uhaul gave me 30days free storage. if I have to rent a trailer once a month to keep rolling in vouchers.... it'll certainly be more cost effective that store-it Oshawa. :) sorry guys, you gotta get with the times. but I tell you what: I'll check back in a year and see if you're still like this. maybe add a couple stars too. 😉 anyways! good luck, folks!

Good service providers but you are made to pay for an extra cost which is 'taged insurance' for protection against any damages/accident. If you refuse to pay, you are immediately asked to sign a document to that effect. Since you don't the condition of the vehicle and to avoid any issues on breakdown you pay up thereby increasing your bill.

Ok I was happy with this rental until I tried to do the mobile return. This location has no drop box. Where am I supposed to leave the key? My partner called the help line who unhelpfuly informed us there's no lock box here. Great thanks. Never mind that the mobile return says that there is. Aha, you say, you should leave the key in the cargo area and lock it with the combo lock they provided to pick up the car. That is all well and good ladies and gentlemen, but the darn lock just wouldn't close. After fighting with it for 15 minutes in -10c weather, I managed to shove it in somehow. I think cursing the U-Haul employees who came up with this brilliant idea helped in the end. Next time I'm paying for movers

U needed a truck right away and they were the mist helpful of all the other truck rental agencies. The only problem I had no where there to park my car when U left in the truck rental. Staff friendly and polite and very helpful.

Horrible experience. We got there and we were told that they had no trucks available. They gave us a number (head office) to call to find out where the nearest available truck would be. We called it and they gave us this address! We went back in and told the two employees, who looked dumbfounded and asked each other where the extra truck came from. They told us they couldn't give us the truck after all, because apparently it was also booked. We called head office back and they gave us an address to get another truck. It turned out to be a chicken farm in Newcastle that happens to rent Uhaul trucks on the side. Despite head office reserving a truck at that location for us for 11:30am, they don't open until 3pm. We called head office (for the 3rd time) and they sent us back to this address where (2.5 hours after originally arriving) we finally got a truck. Upon leaving, we heard another woman on the phone with head office complaining about how disorganized this location is. One of the cables on the back door of the truck was jammed and we had a hell of a time opening and closing it. After the fiasco we went through just to get the truck we figured it was best to live with it and move on. It's safe to say we will not be returning.

Booked my appointment a week in advance for a hitch instal. Dropped the vehicle off, and received a call an hour later at 11am. "We don't have the wiring needed to complete your installation today". So you would assume they would have it dropped off from a supplier the day of like most auto places. Not the case as an employee had to go to Peterborough to get the wiring after their shift. She said I wouldn't be charged for the part and labour. Brought the vehicle back the next day they finished the job, but only took off the labour. I had to pay for the part & warranty. They should have had this in stock, and because of their error I had to drive twice to this location wasting a lot of time. I didn't even receive a call that my vehicle was done. Mickey Mouse operation, with poor practices.

Horrible place. Avoid at all cost. Seemed fine at first, cheap, then they accused us of causing damage to the storage next to us when we have been outside the country the entire time. Extremely rude (one of them). We found mouse droppings in the storage. Also note that several of the five star reviews are written by fake accounts who have given five stars to everything.

Any negative review on here is from people who probably DID NOT PAY THEIR STORAGE RENT. If you pay your rent, on time and not late, AS YOU SHOULD, your stuff would not be sold, and you would most likely have no issues. Place is a absolute joke !!! paid my full rent for the unit had my things out by the 10th of the month was told the difference and the deposit would be mailed, requested and had them agree it would shipped to the office now here it is a over a month later no check In The mail no check at the office ..…...... so where’s my money they want me to pay 20 dollar fee to have it cancelled can’t have the check number tracked to see if it was cashed like or you kidding me why should I pay the difference place is terrible !!!! Go anywhere else people the units aren’t even worth the money eh and barely any access time to check on them ... besides the fact they do t give back the deposits or any money they owe you

New manager is incompetent! She sent me a letter hiking the rent 2 months before it was due to go up. How do you get away with that? Now she's threatening to evict me and sell my stuff because I'm a couple days late with rent and when I come to pay sh'e late to work and nobody to take the payment. Calling the head office to complain. This used to be a great place, it sucks now.

Poor service. A lot of swearing and complaining about moving items. Complained about a couple items that were not mentioned on the phone. Complained about boxes that had to be moved. Very unprofessional, the bill was twice as much as it should have been. Had to pay an additional $420 because of traffic. And an additional 140 for them to get to my place and back to their office. Still a lot of items not moved and left at my old place for me to deal with. Would definitely not recommend them to anyone. I left this post for a week to calm down but still have an overwhelming feeling of being ripped off which is why I'm posting this.

Everything is great until there's a problem. Horrible customer service. You have to wonder about a person that posts a 5 star review of her own company. Bonnie. When unloading our furniture they dropped our new Bombay desk. After many unanswered calls we were finally able to reach Bonnie. Who declared that after talking it over with her husband that its not their fault but that of Bombay, and we should call them to complain. Strange how they loaded it into the truck with no problem. I guess somewhere along the drive it became a different desk. In the end she may offer us a 100$ for a 1500$ desk, after she ponders it while away in Florida. I guess we're supposed to hold our breath in anticipation. She even refused to go through insurance with us willing to pay the deductible. If you like your furniture stay away

Mr Warren Stacey the previous review hired us at 140.00 per Hr. He Moved from Bowmanville to Baltimore ont. He is writing us a bad review because of construction on the 401 hwy. Our travel time was 4 hrs so the move itself took 4 hrs which is more then reasonable. He is not complaining about damages or the load or off load as it went great as we expect. He should maybe take this anger out on the Constuction Compay or the Ont Govermant instead of a Family business who have a great reputation for 33 YEARS.

We moved our 3 bedroom home with Mountain Moving Systems in April 2014. The move distance was approximately 45 km and we were pleasantly surprised how well the day went. There were no issues! I spent hours researching moving companies because this was our first real move. We obtained quotes from 5 other moving companies within Durham Region and Mountain had one of the more reasonable rates (they even offered a spring rate - which ends at the end of April). We had packed all our boxes in advance and stored them in our garage, but left all the bigger items as is for the moving crew, which consisted of 3 men (Lonny, Richard and ??). The crew was careful with our stuff, friendly and worked efficiently together. The entire move was 5.5 hours and cost less than what we had budgeted. I would recommend this moving company to others.

I will never use this company again. Make sure you babysit them closely. Broke a hutch top window. I got upset at one lazy hippy pot head that mouthed back. Didn't take the care to double check things. I am the customer. Top it off they dumped their Mc Donald's garbage on the driveway. I am still waiting to get the hutch fixed. That is the problem.So what the owner offered to pay for it. Next time I move back to my farm home I won't be calling them. I moved in Oct 2015. Now December .

Literally the worst experience I’ve ever had. If I had the option of rating 0 stars, I would, but I’m forced to put at least 1. Firstly, my initial phone call to schedule my appointment was horrendous, I was put on hold for 10 minutes after I gave them my credit card number. “Scam” came to mind when the rep told me my credit card wasn’t going through, when I had more than enough room to pay for my “rush” fee for the parts they didn’t have in stock. At the end of the phone call the rep told me I would get a confirmation email....except I told him he never asked me for my email and he said “I think I did”....no sir you did not, and I never received a confirmation email. I had to google search my confirmation # with my phone number to make sure I didn’t just call a scam number. We paid for a rush fee to have the parts delivered one day later, schedule the appointment for two days later just to be on the safe side. On the day of, we get to our appointment and to our surprise, U-Haul doesn’t have our parts and they already got their shipment for the day. Thankfully, the lady at the desk (as unprofessional as she was) helped us out and got one of the employees to drive an hour away to pick up our parts to have our hitch installed the same day. I was told I would receive my rush fee refund when we come to pick up the car later that evening....great I thought. We were told our hitch would be installed 30 minutes after our schedule appointment. After much headache things were looking up and it seemed as though we were going to arrive at 5pm to see our car ready to pull a trailer. We were told we would receive a call once it’s all done. 5pm rolls around and we don’t get a phone call...we call the place and get forwarded to the call centre about 4 times. We take a chance and drive 30 minutes to U-Haul to pick up our car, to our surprise THE CAR WAS NEVER EVEN TOUCHED. At this point my blood is boiling and I’m so upset, I go in there and they tell me they didn’t know my car had to get a hitch installed. The paperwork was untouched, my car was still in the same spot it was before we left in the afternoon, and there was NO hitch installed. We have two small children that missed their naps, were cranky as hell, and we had to lug them around back and forth for what exactly? They told us we can come back at 7am the next morning to get it done, and for the charge of parts only. We were going away to Montreal that night and needed the hitch installed that day. Even though they were only going to charge us for parts and no labor, I’d rather save me from getting another headache and going with a different company. The only positive outcome from all of this, is that we received our refund for the rush fee I paid for. For those who have actually read this entire review, we recommend you don’t go to this place for any services, and we have chosen to go with Easton in Newcastle on the 115. Thanks for nothing U-Haul!

I had to give atleast 1 start to make a review. Worst customer service. Two times I’ve been there and each time had issues. The lady at the front deck lied to my face and when I questioned her about it she changed her story and had to ask someone else deal to with me because she couldn’t keep her lies straight and I was calling her out on it! The next fellow was nicer but there was nothing he could do since the transaction was already completed. DONT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT A HEADACHE!!!

Movers were to be at my home at 12:00- 1:00 pm didn't show up until 5:30 pm. Continuously asked me if I wished to change my method of payment to cash instead of credit card Did not have any tools to take the doors off of the appliances, I would like to know how they were going to get the appliances out without tools (my husband had to take doors off) Ripped the plastic covering on my queen size bed losing my hardware which was attached to the bag Futon mattress was put in the rec room when we went to set the futon up later, the mattress was soaking wet, leading us to believe that the mattress was dropped. They stated the futon frame would not fit into the rec room, I told them, unscrew it and take it apart (even I have done that myself.). At the end of it all, we spoke with the supervisor and we were given $80 off of our move....I couldn't believe a company would be so unprofessional and only offer an $80 saving.

Moving can be stressful, but these young men made it a lot easier. They arrived on time and worked hard nonstop. Everything was very carefully wrapped and they handled all of it with care. We hired three men and on the delivery end, two more showed up to help. They were still laughing and joking around with one another after 8 hours of hauling furniture! It was very nice to see. I would definitely use this company again.

One man and two boys more like. Of the 3, the leader was good and personable while the two kids snuck extra smoke breaks and talked behind the truck. Wasted time which cost me more money. Scratched the side of my fridge because they didn't have a dolly... submitted a "claim" through their company but never heard back. Could've been worse as I was nervous about hiring movers as I've heard horror stories but still unimpressed.

I booked a storage unit online using u-Haul. After completing my transaction, I received a confirmation email from Anchor saying that my unit had been reserved. 3 days before moving day I called ahead on a whim and was informed that my requested unit is not available. I was told I could move into a more expensive, unheated unit and move into another unit once it becomes available. I will be taking my business elsewhere!
