Star Fencing just completed the replacement our fence which was damaged in the storm we had back in May. Their work was excellent, the price was great, and they were good to deal with. It took a long time to get the work scheduled (partly due to our schedule and partly because they were busy after the storm). We're very happy with our new fence!

They did not show up for their schedule appointment for the installation. I left a message and received a return phone call later. I was told that "they did not have the posts" and " for that reason were unable to install the product". It would have been very nice if somebody told us beforehand that they were out of materials (regular black 6 foot poles). Sure they would have seen/noticed that the day before. I waited and waited. They never did show. The attempt to phone afterwards was left unanswered by the company.

Of all the people I contacted for a quote, Fardine was the most friendly and professional at the same time. Few other leading companies with great reviews were very rude to me and did not keep their appointments. Blue dog was the only other company where an elderly gentleman kept his time and was nice. Their quote was a bit high for me. The worker who did my fence, his name was Farshid. He did an awesome job! There was a young white man who was also very polite and hardworking. I am very impressed with the service! Would recommend them anytime.

Tried on multiple occasions to get in touch for a quote. Met him at home and garden show and agreed for a quote to be supplied on the Monday. Had to follow up Thursday for a quote...he came on Friday...it's been almost 3 weeks now and haven't heard anything back. I've already contacted another company that was able to come out and view the job, quote it and confirm a scheduled work date in the meantime (took the other company 4 days to do all of this)

Tim came out to view job April 25 and get measurements for an estimate (after calling to cancel our original appointment). After multiple times following up as to when we might have a quote, we still haven't heard anything from them. I understand it's a busy season, but a simple email or call to let us know you are working on it, or simply don't want the job is better than dead air. Your 'potential' customers are busy people too, and don't appreciate the waste of time.

Installed some aluminium posts for us on the front porch. We also wanted some new roofing panels installed but it was taking Tim too long to source and price out the materials that we wanted so we decided to give that work to another contractor. Like any contractor you have to add about 50% to the lead time that they give you. The workers were very friendly and knowledgeable. They did manage to damage our existing roofing panels but I'm not that upset about it because I told them we were planning to change the panels anyway (and they really didn't want to take the time to remove the panels before installing the posts). The posts went in fine with only a few spots where the finish was scraped and will need a bit of touch-up paint. Keep in mind that this is a full price contractor. I estimate there was over 100% markup on the posts and then $50 per hour per worker (there were 2) to install. Overall I'd give Blue Dog 3.5 stars. However, in future I'll give WayMar a call for a quote as they are in the same price range but are in the top of their class.

Tim took the time to explain several options and provided a reasonable quote to repair instead of replace the entire column, but source of water damage needs to be fixed first. From Dan and Dave's experience came the suggestion of a rod iron gate on one side of the house and a magnificent pressure treated arched top gated entrance on the other side that is beautiful. 2 crews showed up the first day on the coldest day in January and marked, dug, and set 50 post on a laser sight perfectly. They professionally managed all of their equipment around our highly treed and garden spaces with grace. I left them with a Drawing from an engineer to install 9 sonotubes which they did, however, they were all over the Place. They were so far out of square we could not land a beam on them to build are deck. They first said they would fix it. Then said they would refund our money. Then they decided not to honour any solution. Buyers beware. We were left fixing the problem ourselves.

Hired the guys to drill 6 holes they quoted me $50/per hole. they where at my house about 35 minutes and charged me $60/per hole + 2.5% for using a credit card. All post hole diggers are busy but that shouldn't give them permission to gouge.

Don’t recommend this guy. Darcy the owner is Just HORRIBLE! Very unprofessional guy, doesn’t matter how long he has been in this business. He’s simply the rudest person I have seen. He’s not on time, he LIES <——— a lot. He takes the deposit and makes you wait and wait. After many texts and phone calls he will show up and rush everything up. He brought us all damaged wood for our backyard deck and when we called to settle this, he said we are bullying him for asking him to replace the faulty items he got for us. Everywhere cracks and holes and big gaps that are not reasonable for a new deck. He took our money and now don’t call or come to fix it. It’s not even a week and he’s missing. He didn’t gave us proper tax receipt. He doesn’t answer his phone or text once he takes your money, he will vanish. He did very bad job and very disappointed we hired him. Not trust worthy! Hey Darcy don’t lie. My husband hired you and paid you cash. You don’t know my last name because you didnt use forms and you didn’t write it down. It took you one year to respond back in here wow! Edit. Yes you do! Nice try, my husband hired you and we did 20/20 deck.

I hired this company to replace our privacy fence. I had scheduled it throughout a week that I wasn’t going to be home. As they had to take a few days to do it for post holes to set. I was told it would be done by Wednesday. When I got back on Thursday there were fence posts up but no fence. 3 of my patio stones were destroyed and in need of being replaced. My neighbours were nasty people like those right out of a trashy redneck trailer park. With vicious dogs that constantly fence fought with mine. I explained my need for a fence with no gaps so that there was no way for our dogs to get hurt. When they showed up on Friday (because I called and asked why this wasn’t done, and stressed the danger of no fence with dogs who don’t get along) they started putting together a fence with gaps. Telling me that was all the wood they had. That it was what they had been told to do. So I ended up getting a different fence than I had ordered. They also built a gate, that did not set properly and within 2 months had shifted and the gate could barely open. Every time I needed information or for them to fix something it was a minimum of 3 phone calls. They rarely returned calls and when they did it was always explained that they never got a message before then to do so. They are a frustrating company to work with. I am all around disappointed with this company’s work ethic, customer service, and lack of quality workmanship.

We chose not to use Town and Country. Our experience echoed what was written here in other reviews. We were referred to them by a neighbor who'd used them. Very unprofessional on the phone, answered saying hello! Not even the business name, it didn't get much better from there. The guy who came out didn't seem very knowledgeable, he could have been, but didn't verbalize it. Offered little in the way of suggestions, didn't seem highly motivated or personable. Chased for our estimate. Chased even for a returned phone call to find our estimate. When the estimate came in via email, again unprofessional, not even a greeting, nothing in the body of the email! Not sure how they're in business still. I guess bc if anyone does book with them they charge so much it keeps them floating for a while. Disappointed. Wouldn't recommend.

The yard guys just don't care and apparently the store guys are useless. I almost dropped everything and left today. Old review: Alright place. They got a Rona flag but seem to be a small town business.

This store is just frustrating and irritating. They have limited stock. Don't follow Rona pricing on a bunch of items. Their outdoor lumber yard tends to have a ton of damaged/warped boards so you're constantly picking through them for something descent. And the full time staff (not the students) just seem to be in a perpetual bad mood. This is easily the worst lumber/hardware store I've ever been to. I can't help but think the only reason they stay in business is the closest other big box store is 20 minutes away.

However, I filled out the online quote request from and nobody contacted me back at all, so I went in myself afterwards and ordered some fencing. Delivery was quick but they only gave me 18 of the 24 brackets I ordered and paid for - I only found out weeks later when I was installing the fence.

Don’t waste your time! Go elsewhere. They screwed up our order plenty of times along with delivery, shattered our glass and refused to rectify the situation other then placing another order that would take another 2-3 weeks! Poor customer service. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

Was greeted by a rude employee. Went in to order a $800 bbq and was quickly met with incompetence. The disgruntled employee did not know how to look up a product on the computer. We gave him the manufacturer name and model type. He wanted the serial number and then proceeded to tell us "that in the future, before you come to a store to have the serial number or we can't look it up". My wife searched on her phone and found the product in 10 seconds. Unfortunately he did not have the same intellectual skills to do so. He then asked to see my wife's phone when he was standing infront of his computer. I had enough and told him to look it up himself. He said "I dont need this". I geuss this location doesn't want to sell any products. So I call on my fellow tradesmen to boycott this store because apparently they dont need business.

We loved working with Frontier. All their staff seemed friendly and polite when they came to our home. The owner was fabulous to deal with and was very patient with us as we had to deal with a variance issue with the county. They built a large walk out deck for us with a staircase...it looks wonderful. Gerald was the main contractor at our site and he was fantastic..can not say enough things. Love working with a family owned and operated business. Would highly recommend!

Horizon Contracting offers such a satisfactory service for a very reasonable price. My nana has been stressed out for months, worrying about not having her fence done in time for the summer. She has inquired at a few places, but wasn’t able to find anybody who could repair what she needed in time, nor for an amount that was in her price range. I heard about this company through a friend, and decided I would try and set something up for her. When I called to gather information about the possible repair, I was greeted a by sweet and helpful woman over the phone, who was able to concisely answer all the questions I had; by the end of the discussion I was feeling good about the company. I was greeted by a pair of individuals who looked around the perimeter of the fence to see what exactly needed to be done. My nana was worried about being upsold on things that she didn’t need, but everything was going smoothly, and the pair was very reassuring and helpful. A few days later, a team of workers came back to work on the fence. They were able to work without ruining my nana’s garden (Which was a big concern for her) and were super friendly and respectful. I was in awe at how efficiently they were able to replace the fence. The mess was well maintained and kept away from anything that we had requested to isolate, and as a refreshing bonus, it looked like the team genuinely enjoyed working with each other and kept the environment relatively positive, so me and my nana felt very comfortable the entire time. At one point, My nana brought out lemonade for everybody, (She is a sweetheart) and they were very appreciative and friendly. When the job was finished, the crew cleaned up the yard, and left it looking pristine and appealing. We were very satisfied with the entire process, and were able to get through it without so much as a headache. If you are looking for a company to do any form of contracting work, I highly recommend this one. I will for sure be calling them again the next time there is work to be done!
