All you can Eat for fairly cheap. Service is always lacking but honestly amongst Kingstonians this has become the running joke about Sushi. The better the Sushi, the worse the serving staff. Food is good and this is the only place that has the Boston Roll which is a tempura fried California roll with a small portion of cream cheese. Absolutely delicious. Can get REALLY busy especially on weekends so be prepared.

This Japanese restaurant caters to Sushi. Both raw and cooked. It's all you can eat for one price. Lunches are the best option for the best value. Fresh food made on site. I did notice a language barrier which makes it hard to communicate with servers. But the food is amazing and well worth it.

The all you can eat sushi is well priced and the portions are generous. The service was excellent. The sushi was delicious. Unfortunately the women's bathroom was not in good shape. One of the toilets was plugged, there was toilet paper all over the floor of multiple stalls and there were cobwebs on the toilet dividers.

Great spot for lunch. All you can eat for $16. Food was fresh and hot. Don't order more than you can eat or will get charged extra. First time there is hard unless you know sushi very well. Will get charged extra if you order something you don't like and don't eat.

Delicious food, and the price isn't unreasonable for AYCE. The menu has classic sushi items as well as more creative dishes (our favourite is the Sunshine Roll). The servers are polite and efficient, and despite what others have said here, they're NOT rude. Maybe the people complaining about them aren't familiar with Japanese customer service? The staff welcome you when you arrive, and thank you when you leave, which is pretty standard for a Japanese restaurant. It's our favourite sushi in Kingston!

there was only one server when we first got there and she took forever to come to our table. The sushi is okay at best. They put way too much rice! I think this is a trick that use because it's all-you-can-eat so they want to get you full with rice. Personally, I would look elsewhere for sushi if I'm in the Kingston area again soon

While the pricing is fair for all you can eat, the service is hilariously bad. Server don’t return to tables unless waved down, food takes a lifetime to reach the table, and often times things are forgotten. The sushi quality is mediocre, but on the lower end of the spectrum compared to Kingston’s many other fantastic options. Save your money, don’t come here.

Worst sushi experience ever. I'd give them zero stars if it was an option. If you cant handle making food for both take out and dine in customers then maybe you should just pick one or the other, not have customers waiting over 2 hours to get very little of their order then expect them to pay full price.

Its an all you can eat. Pricing is fair but the service is non existent and the food quality is quite low. Servers do not greet you with any words they just point to where you should go. They do not talk to you and just take your slip and walk away. You do not get all the food that you order and you can have wait times for your food close to 30 minutes even when the restaurant is not busy. Have tried many times hoping that the service would be different with no luck. Better off eating sushi else where.

Generally good food with a variety of choices. The short ribs are one of my favourites. However the waiting time for the food can be quite long.

I eat a lot of sushi. Got take out from here and I have to say it was some of the worst sushi and shashimi I’ve had. Service was great while waiting. But the sushi had way too much rice. The shashimi was sliced super thinly for some of the pieces so much that it was transparent and the the other pieces were already looking dry and not fresh. I regretted every bite and only ate it because $40 on take out is a lot for broke student and I’m trying to get my moneys worth. The rice for the sushi was of absolute terrible quality and the hand rolls were the worst. Just slathered on fish on top of rice rolled in a cone. You’d think it’s hard to mess up but they did. Overall would never go back here. I still regret every bite and miss my $40.

Arrived at 6pm, left at 8:30pm. Didnt receive any rolls from my first order or second order. Made to pay full price. Will not be returning. Maybe you should make sure you can serve all your customers what they order before fulfilling takeout orders and people who havent been there for a full 2 hours already.

Ordered take out over the phone, once I got home I looked at my spring rolls, they had sauce on them which would make them soggy by the time I got home, but the sauce was spicy, which I can't eat. I called again to tell them about the spicy sauce. The lady on the phone was questioning if it really was spicy, after I insisted multiple times it was, I asked for new rolls which after asking were made for me to go back and pick up. Overall the spring rolls were good, I also ordered a regular dynamite roll, which had a bit of spicy sauce on it too, I was able to take it off to eat the rest of my meal.

Only the best memories at Kenko. The servers and chefs are incredibly warm and welcoming. The relaxed atmosphere and subtle music is perfect for pleasant conversations. To top it all off, the food is exquisite. I think this is the one restaurant that truly reminds me of home.

Very friendly staff, lots of accessible seating, and accessible washrooms. Lots of free parking in mall. Large menu with excellent selection of dishes. Sushi portions are generous. There are maki choices unique to Kenko, and very tasty. Tempura is superb, with a light and crunchy batter. Extensive sake menu and very reasonable prices for wine.

Apparently this is small place with limited amount of tables and confusing entrance however, clean, accurate and friendly personal. Food quality is amazing, size is right and service at right level for this type of restaurants. I am definitely recommend for anyone to try. I only tested sushi with lobster which has been prepared with frozen lobster. Rather than that everything really good.

An exceptional place to get rolls, dynamite roll, spicy salmon roll, Philadelphia roll, and so many more. I also enjoyed the miso soup and green tea with toasted brown rice, very smooth! The staff are very fast and friendly, also the price was very competitive with other pay per piece sushi restaurants. I would say that two people could easily stuff them selves for $50, and usually an all you can eat is close to $25. I will definitely be eating here again.

The sushi is excellent and most of the staff is Japanese, which makes the whole experience even better. The raw fish feels really fresh and tasty. The only reason why I am giving 4 stars is that their sushi rolls are too large to fit into our mouth, I had to break it into pieces to be able to eat it, which doesn't allow to taste the sushi as a whole. My husband is very tall and big and he had the same problem. If they made it a little smaller it would be great.

Seated promptly, but took took a bit long for waitress to take our order due to large line up for pick up orders. It was the weekend in the evening. Also took a bit longer than I would expect to get our food after placing our order. Food was excellent, but one caution. My wife ordered a roll that was only supposed to have smoke salmon in it, but it also had raw salmon which she does not eat. The server had the manager come over and they did remake it with only smoked salmon, but we did suggest they state in the description that there is also raw salmon in it. Other wise our appetizer and meals were tasty. Prices are competitive with other Japanese and Sushi restaurants in Kingston. for travellers it's just 3 minutes from Hwy 401 form Sir John A MacDonald Blvd. Right turn onto John Counter Blvd and 1st left onto Aberfoyle, and left turn into small plaza where Akita is located. Free parking.

Good sushi, fast service. The interior is nice and relatively large - one of the nicer sushi restaurants in downtown Kingston. Good for groups or eating on your own. Good for a lunch break from work or a date. Affordable lunch deals. Within walking distance of the waterfront hotels in downtown Kingston and close to the water and Fort Frontenac.

Best sushi in town! The Bulgogi is so delicious, but if you cant eat spicy food, i dont recommend it. But the spicy salmon is not that spicy though. I love how small the restaurant is, very warm and cozy. The server is really friendly.

They serve good Korean dishes. My family tried spicy beef bulgogi, spicy squid and spicy pork. They were all served with rice, miso soup and salad. Their presentation was tidy and food was delicious with some spiciness. (I hope they ask customers how spicy they want) Their lunch menu is in $10-$15 which is good considering it's about 5 minutes away on foot from the downtown city hall.

Sushi isn't all about how expensive the material you use, it is the experience you put all together with the fish and rice. It's a balance of feeling. Choi’s role makes it all perfect. Every bite is a surprise. They offer free delivery when order certen amount. But if delivery got delayed, quality will degrade.

The least quality sushi I have tried in Kingston along with agi sai. Small, flavorless and not much of variety. Their only advantage was the fresh ingredients they use and that they delivered. Won't order from there again. If you are craving good sushi then definitely this is not your place.

The best sushi in Kingston. Having been to numerous sushi restaurants in the Kingston, Toronto, Oakville and Burlington area, I can safely say Izumo is the best in Kingston. Its not cheap, but if you are in the mood for very good sushi, Izumo has never let me down.

This is the perfect example of a restaurant giving up what gave them a competitive advantage for increased margins. I first discovered this small, quaint spot in early 2015. It quickly became one of our favourite date spots with wonderful sushi platters made in a family-environment. Unfortunately, over the past few years the quality of the fish has decreased significantly, in addition to terrible service. Izumo used to have some of the best quality sushi in all of Kingston, but it has settled for mediocrity over time.

Great location, food, and presentation. Really nice sushi place with a cute wooden interior aesthetic that's super close to campus and the hub. Really loved the presentation of everything in large wooden serving trays and boats, it's quite a good dining experience overall. The price of the food is good and worth what you pay for, so it's better than some other places around that are further and pricier.

Would rate it as one of the best in Kingston. Spacious compared to most sushi bars. Staff are extremely attentive and the quality of the food and ingredients seems to be very high. The inside of the location is extremely nice with warm wooden features on the walls. Seems to be often very busy due to its popularity so go early, but due to the size doesn't feel cramped. Lunch specials.are a good deal.

This place is great, could very well be the best Japanese restaurant in Kingston. Although, there is one massive problem; I purchased a delivery of Cheese Age and K town Yum, both of them were yummy but there was no cheese. The menu said it was supposed to have cheese, oh and the soup tasted like watered down broth (like the person that complained 5 months ago). This is so disappointing! You guys can do better, these are simple fixes. I would definitely post a picture in this comment but Google doesn't have that option.

Two hour wait for mediocre food!! The person taking the order couldn’t speak English or even understand the numbers associated with our credit card. This place can’t go out of business fast enough.

We ordered 3 rolls, salad, and soup. The salad was plain and unremarkable. The rolls had too much sauce on them. They were large, but all you could taste was sauce. This meal felt like a filler, more than anything. The deep fried Yum Yum roll was the most decent of the three rolls.

Best place for sushi in town, some people might say the one downtown but this one is bigger better and freaking tastes godly. Bathrooms could us a little touch but what do you expect from the queens area. Not great for families or wheelchairs. Big portions, id only order 1 special roll if i wss you.

Jina Sushi is one of my favourite sushi restaurants in Kingston. Food, price, service, and atmosphere are all great. I would definitely recommend. In terms of food, I find their sushi quality really great. I usually get the maki boat (a maki combo for two people) with a friend and always enjoy the variety and quality of the rolls. For pricing, in my opinion, their prices are on the lower side of average but if you get the maki boat like I do, I think you get even more for your money. Every time I've went to eat-in, the service is always quick and the servers are very friendly. The first time I have ever went, I had a lot of help from the serve upr to choose what to get, and they were patient and helpful. Lastly, atmosphere and location. The atmosphere within Jina is warm and comfortable. I can sit and talk with a friend for a long time while we eat and feel right at home. The location of Jina doesn't offer any convenient places to park, but it's very close to Queen's, which is a plus for students looking for a nice meal. Overall, Jina Sushi is fantastic. 5/5

Their sushi is very tasty. The dynamite rolls are the best. My husband and I always go there. The only reason why I am giving 4 stars is that the raw fish doesn't taste so fresh, I might be wrong, bit it tastes like frozen fish. So I would stick to the cooked sushi/meals, which are undoubtedly tasty. Good prices also.

This sushi was some of the best sushi I’ve ever had! And I grew up in Vancouver—where the sushi is phenomenal and the fish is freshest possible. The menu was confusing at first but we just went for it and it was 100% worth it. Just get the Queen option and you’ll be set!!!! It’s a really reasonable price for all that you’re getting... we could barely finish everything but forced ourselves because it truly was amazing. I’ll be going here every time I’m in town!!! Amazing quality, delicious taste, and really wonderful owners. They should be proud.

I have heard great reviews of this sushi restaurant from both friends and family for many years. Today was my first time trying it out myself, and I was pleased that the hype was all true! My fiance and I shared a spicy Queen meal (plus an extra soup & salad) and it was delicious. The dessert was especially amazing. I will certainly be visiting again!

Myself and my significant other were coming back from Montreal when we were craving Sushi during our road trip back. It was the long weekend and we were searching for a place that was open as we were approaching Kingston. This place was cute and cozy, very intimate dining experience as the owners, a husband and wife duo, would prepare our orders closeby. After my boyfriend asked if a certain item had tempura in it, the husband prepping our sushi asks if he had a gluten allergy. That really impressed me! Not often a "mom 'n pop" shop would take into consideration of allergies. Their Dinner Specials and/or Combos are amazing! HUGE portions! Didn't expect that but was happy I had leftovers for the road! Definitely recommend!

A fantastic place to eat!! We were passing through the area and decided to try it. The owners were extremely friendly and a pleasure to chat with. The menu seemed a little confusing at first but they quickly explained how it worked. And the sushi was so fresh and so tasty!! A very enjoyable dining experience. This place is a hidden gem. Even though the place may seem small, it beats any other sushi place by far. Everything is home made, including the soy sauce and they nailed it. Would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Awesome rolls, huge variety, and very cozy atmosphere. The rolls may be a little bit more expensive than other sushi places, but there are so many choices and options that are great which makes up for it. Really quite enjoyed the King Dragon Roll (or Black?) with the spicy Salmon. I also ordered the black sesame ice cream which was surprisingly very rich compared to other black sesame ice creams. It's also right in the heart of downtown, across from town hall.

This restaurant has a wide selection of creative sushi menus. They were both flavourful and beautiful. Neat services and clean/cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Came on a Saturday night; St. Patty's Day weekend at 7pm and still got a table for 2. Huge sushi menu. Got the Kimchi Ramen. It was wonderful, huge pieces of pork, tons of veggies and spice was right on point. With 2 cans of Sapporo and some Sake I only paid $40

This place was very good. I had one of the best teriyaki bento boxes I have ever had. The service was attentive, the people were friendly and approachable. We are definitely coming back. It's worth the drive from Belleville!

I ate at the restaurant and ordered a pork bone soup which was decent. This time, when I ordered a Tang Soo Yook, I found that the pork was fried to the point where it was almost rock hard that I could barely chew it even with the sauce poured over it. I wish some of the dishes here could be improved because there are not many other Korean food options in Kingston.

I feel very fortunate to have found this restaurant. O my goodness! From the homemade soy sauce to the volcano sushi, amazing sashimi and homemade miso soup, everything is top notch. Lovely gentle classical music, simplistic decor and quiet efficient staff. Very fresh, tasty, pleasing to the eyes as well as to the palate. Customer service is absolutely lovely. Finished off our delicious meal with black ice cream!!! Amaaazing and so unique. Highly recommend this cozy gem. #localguide

We arrived pretty late at night (about 50 min before close) on a Sunday, and yet the staff was absolutely amazing to us. They insisted on making us sushi, even though they had been cleaning already and it was delicious. Although it was a slow night for them, and they had put the soup and salad stations away; there was a tremendous amount of hot food available and they made us more. They also discounted our purchase and seemed genuinely sorrowful that their soup and salad was not available. I would highly recommend Mandarin Buffet if you're craving a large selection of good Chinese food. We'll be back for sure!

The owner, Jerry came by and checked on our table which was very polite! The staff and always friendly and there is always a variety of different things to eat! Everyone who works here is very friendly and helpful. The food on the buffet was very hot which is nice for a change but everything is very salty. Personally I found the prices too high. Two people shouldn't have to pay $66 plus a tip to go out and eat dinner even if it is a buffet. I met the manager tonight and he was also very friendly. If it wasn't for the prices being so high this restaurant would get five stars from me.

It's a bit pricey, but more than worth it. The service is always great, the food is delicious, and it's by far the best restaurant in Kingston. The best time to go is lunch, to avoid overcrowding and for a cheaper price. I was also surprised to find that they know how to make wonderful cocktails and other alcoholic drinks.

Nice decor, well maintained. Excellent service, we were well looked after by the servers. Price is a bit higher, but there is a very large selection, so I consider it worth the price. The food quality is about what you would expect from a buffet, and there is fresh made sushi rolls. I would go back and would recommend to people looking for a quality buffet.

Not as great as they were used to be. We went here today for a birthday lunch. It was so disappointing. The server wont offer refills like they used to. You have to ask several times before they get back to you. The iced tea had bitter taste like it's been sitting there for too long. The food were not great. Sushi was dry, fried rice was burnt. The frozen yogurt didn't taste like yogurt at all. The ice cream has no flavor.

Was a good food court stop but resently started to use lesser quality goods and less effort goes into making their food. before they made really good quality bentos. Kagare fried chicken was my favorite as they used to use a good sauce nice sized breaded and actually made a nise side salad. the other day i got chicken nuggets (which were almost the size of Mcnuggets if not smaller) without sauce, a single peice of lettuce, no dressing except the slash over from the dumpling which was ok itself. Thiking it was a mistake on the sause at least I just bought the Chicken as a side this time, the center of the chicken was frozen. Their only saving factor from being a 1* is they still have good tasting budget sushi.
