Cooked fresh, quality meals, helpful service. Atmosphere is lowlit, cozy and trendy. Good place for a date or feeling a bit fancy. Chef-owner takes pride in his work and visits the tables to see how everything is. I only have ordered pasta dishes and all were excellent.

Been here before, food service is slow but worth the wait, hence the 1 star. I do not understand the logic of turning away a walk-in customer for a reservation customer that is over 20 mins late. This is ridiculous. I went in without reservation, noticed about 4-5 empty tables. But the hostess said the wait will be for 2 hours. There is nobody else there waiting. When asked about those empty seats she said there are reservations for 6:00pm for all those tables. This conversation is happening at 6:24pm. Their food is a 4/5, But the customer service is non existent. Will not be going here again

Have gone here several times as part of a local CPA group. The food is consistently excellent and varied. I quite like the fettuccine Poco Pazzo. We usually go as a large group and there has never been an issue with speed of service. Certainly gives the impression that they can handle us without impacting the other guests. Would be a nice place to take my wife for a dinner, as I keep promising to.

My girlfriend took me to Cucina Ristorante for my birthday tonight and I had an absolutely fantastic experience. The atmosphere is great, the staff were incredibly friendly from the moment we stepped in the door. Our waitress Meredith was excellent, knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. The food was absolutely fantastic, some of the best pasta I’ve ever had. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great date night, as the atmosphere and size were perfect for that. Will definitely visit again!

5 stars aren't enough! We celebrated my Mum's 75th birthday La Cucina and we had such a wonderful time. Joe was easy to work with to organize the details and the staff were wonderful from the moment we arrived. Bill, our waiter was so helpful an friendly and filled all our needs. We were a table of 17 guests, (many seniors) which wasn't easy. We will definitely go back. Oh .. the food was amazing too. Everyone said their dish was delicious.

Visited La Cucina for the first time tonight and will definitely be going back! I was surprised at how quiet it was for a Friday night, but it ended up being a fantastic atmosphere. William was the best server (and he makes a mean cappuccino!) that kept us laughing throughout our meal. I had the evening special (shrimp in a cream garlic sauce with mushrooms, broccoli florets, shrimp and a shot of sambuca), which was perfect. We will definitely be visiting again!

This was one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. Great atmosphere. We had an after work get together here and people enjoyed themselves. The atmosphere is nice and service was very good. Also they knew how to accommodate my vegan needs and were both knowledgeable and nice about it which i appreciated. I normally go to higher end or more home style restaurants but fratelli is quite nice for a "commercial" style restaurant. I don't recommend the wines though but the beers looked good.

We were in Ottawa visiting friends and family for the long weekend. Our friends invited us to join them for dinner at Fratelli and I cannot say enough good things about the place. The food was delicious, service was excellent and we even got to meet and chat with Pasquale. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Ottawa.

Regular Pizza - 3/5 Gluten Free Pizza Crust - 1/5 Crust did not taste good at all. Server - 3/5 Wine - 4/5 Atmosphere - 3/5 Visually a nice place. Odd that they push traditional Italian quite hard, but have a country playlist on all evening. Also, a little dark and hard to read the menus. Value - 2/5 Prices aren’t posted on website. $20+ for a personal pizza is pretty pricey. The food wasn’t good enough to merit the premium price. Overall - 2/5 There are better value, traditional Italian places in the city.

I wish I can give this restaurant a 0 score. We went to a restaurant called Fratelli in Kanata today on a Friday night. First one fork is full of food residual and then the waiter let us wait for a long time without serving us anything. In the end, he broke accidentally our take out boxes. We didn't give tips for such unpleasant experience for those reasons. And when we are about to leave, he stopped us, harassed us and being angry with us. He treated us very impolitely saying stupid Chinese, and being racial since we were the only Chinese. We reported to the manager, and he refused to apologize to us as he said he is a family member of the restaurant's owner. And the manager just told us to never come again to their restaurant. We reported this case to consumer protection Ontario and Ottawa public health. Our concern is the food safety in the restaurant and the waiter being rude and racial. We live in the neighbor hood near this restaurant and we will try everything to fight for such a case in order to keep our community being healthy.

We enjoyed dinner here recently. As always, everything was great, from the lovely ambience, to the service, to the fabulous food! We started with the calamari (a very generous portion, and one of the best we’ve had!), followed by the Fusilli Genovese (grilled chicken, black olives, sundried tomato, basil pesto rose sauce) and the lasagna. We shared the cheesecake for dessert. Everything was truly delicious, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Expensive for what it was. For the same price or cheaper I could of went to East Side Mario's and gotten something of the same quality. The food was very average, the pasta tasted like the blue box of Barilla you can get at the grocery store. The staff was very helpful. Defiantly not worth it though.

Went here with a friend who I met while visiting Ottawa. Food was reasonably priced and tasty. Service was good, and they quickly answered our questions about items that may affect people with a nut allergy. There was a lot of seating to choose from. Will probably visit again if I'm in the area. Only downside was that it was a little difficult existing the plaza once we were leaving, but not horrible.

My favorite pizza place in Kanata. It has the concept between fast food and restaurant where the server does the minimum work. I like this concept that here you focus on the food and you save for getting only necessary service. The pizza always impresses me at a great price. Pasta is also delicious. All the food are just right and they serve food pretty fast. Ideal place for a casual meal.

First time trying this as take out with my family tonight. Pasta dish prices are too high for what you get. My daughter ordered the Margherita pizza and it was so over sauced that the dough was floppy and not crispy at all. On a positive note, everything was tasty.

Via Cibo is a great place to go and dine in. When food arrives to your table you can expect a really good looking food and the taste is as good as well. Food is fresh, staff is nice and chairs are comfortable.

Also seems short-staffed as clearing tables was slow during peak hours. Unfortunately pasta is not made in-house, but prices do reflect that.

Really delicious pasta. Tastes way more sophisticated than your regular Italian restaurant. The service was also superb. Deducting one star because they need to invest in better chairs. Had to switch out chairs twice because they were wobbly.

The ambiance was delightful. Small room, almost full, 4 out of 5 tables, and no one's phone rang, no one talked on their phone and I didn't even see one on the tables. Marvellous! The food was tasty: too much cheese on the escargot for us (but some people like it that way) and I did find the veal marsala way too sweet for me. Again.... Desserts we're excellent.

Mediocre food at best. I ordered the tiger shrimp entree and my partner ordered the steak and fries. the good: the waitress was nice, the gravy was good, the veggies in the shrimp entree were fairly good. the bad: very expensive for five shrimp. all of the meat was over cooked. the fries were pretty tasteless and seemed a bit undercooked. There are lots of restaurant choices nearby....go somewhere else.

It's not an Italian Eatery anymore. We have been going off and on for years and it has always been excellent, both food and service. 4 of us went last night for dinner, new menu, not Italian, but an odd mix of a bunch of random stuff. Of the 4 of us, the one that ordered pizza, was good. Two meals, were dry and not great, a steak was so over cooked, they compt it. There was a large group, so it would have taken a long time to remake as they hadn't eaten yet. The service was great and he was very appologetic about the food. Totally out of his control. It's too bad they felt the need for change and so much for the worse. We wont go back as there are many good restaurants in Kanata.

I wanted to say a special thank you to Everyone at Pocopazza in Stittsville. This was the first time that we could go to a restaurant since my Daughter started cancer treatment over 2 months ago. Michelle and the staff went above and beyond calling all reservations to ensure that our daughter had a safe area away from anyone who felt like they may be getting ill. It was a great comfort to our extended family to be able to interact for the first time with her in a normal setting since they live a great distance away. Always great food and wonderful setting for any occasion. Thanks again everyone!

Overpriced, not worth it at all. I went with a friend for a celebratory dinner. Very, very disappointed. The food was mushy and stew-like. It was meh. The chicken parmesan was disappointing. And I had some chicken that was covered in a tomato goo. Nothing was cooked well. We had smelts that were not crisp or hot. Not good at all. Not worth it. Save your money, order a pizza.

Yesterday we dinned at Napoli's Cafe for Valentines Day and it was great! Friendly service, not to mention the owner gave every lady a flower and it was such a nice touch. We sat in the private room which was pretty busy. I had the soup and my boyfriend had the salad to start which was included with our mains. They also included a nice dessert for two which we enjoyed. Overall, it was great food, great service and great company.

Amazing experience at Napoli’s, this place leaves you leaving wowed! Immediately once you step into the restaurant the atmosphere provides for a sensational dining experience. The food was outstanding - very generous portions, great quality food, and fresh ingredients. The service was exquisite and seamless by everyone, coupled with a phenomenal atmosphere. The price point = excellent and extremely reasonable given the quality of food • the wine selection = fantastic! The owners and staff display such genuine and warm hospitality, they make you feel like you are apart of the family. Overall, one of my favourite restaurants by far and I highly recommend Napoli’s to anyone and everyone, especially to those who have never been before! It’s a MUST try. The food was good, the staff was very friendly. They had a hard time finding our reservation but it wasn't all bad as they had a table coming ready very quickly. They did finally see the online reservation, all was good. One thing i notice is that this place is cramped, we were seat at a table for two and we could not get out one side as the table beside us had their chairs up tight against ours. The only reason i gave it 4 stars was because it was cramped and very loud. I had a hard time hearing my wife talk. Would i go again? probably, but would try to see what times they aren't too busy so i didn't feel cramped and can have a conversation with my wife.

I always enjoy coming to Fratelli. The pizza is very good. I love the simplicity of the Luca pizza that pairs with the chili oil sauce they provide. I believe I can eat that every day. They also have reasonably priced drinks compared to other places in Ottawa. The salad and pastas are pretty good too from what I've tried.

Celebrated my birthday at Fratelli yesterday evening with a group of 10 and had a lovely experience. The server was knowledgeable, prompt, and patient with our table. The food was exceptional! I enjoyed the Parpadelle Sila pasta dish with no complaints. I would definitely recommend Fratelli to anyone in looking for a romantic and cozy setting paired with wine and pasta (or pizza). Really very mixed results. Party of 11 on Thursday Dec 27. Fried zucchini and calamari were excellent, but the mains were terrible. My daughter found a huge black hair in hers and my chicken parm was bland and tasteless (at $27!). Service was good but that doesn’t make up for overpriced, sub-standard food. Sorry, but would not recommend.

Well, it was a bit different of an experience eating here. The live entertainment was good, the food was pretty good, but the service needed work. We had eaten our appetizers before they even took our dinner orders. The bill came and we waited...and waited to be able to pay. Not angering of an experience but a bit disappointed. The pricing of the meals far out pace the experience.

I went to Zola's for the first time tonight and it will be the last time. I ordered cannelloni and got lasagna in disguise. When the nice waitress came to check how the meal was I asked her to check to see what I had received. She went back to the kitchen and asked about the 3 layers of pasta on my plate. The kitchen staff told her to tell me the pasta exploded so they wrapped it in another layer of pasta. Well it was definitely not a cannelloni pasta. The only good thing that happened was the nice waitress apologized and didn't charge me. I won't be going back.

Ordered grilled salmon here & can't remember having a worse meal. Fish was dry & tasteless, potatoes the same & over seasoned. Presentation was subpar. Ate at Zola's years ago & ordered swordfish. This place has been around forever so you can't go wrong. One of the few great pizza places in Ottawa. Service is good and prices are fair. To the chef/owner, it is time to offer a real poutine (with cheese curds) and not something with shredded cheese. Those days are over, even in Ontario.

I had their pizza for the second time today and it's awesome! The crust is delicious, the sauce tastes fresh (I'm a bit picky on pizza lately as it feels every place uses the same stale sauce; but not here), the cheese is cooked well and a bit crunchy. This is a great pizza place, with the best pizza I've found in Ottawa. The slice size and thickness of toppings means a couple of slices of large will tap me out when 4 slices of pizza pizza can fill the gap. Service is generally not fast, but early dinner and late lunch can be faster than usual. They also let you divide larger pizzas into 2 flavours. Half ham and pineapple, half meat lovers is a crowd pleaser. Nice place to come once or twice a year.

This Saturday evening could’ve been my first time at Giovanni’s but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. I was on my way there for a friend’s birthday dinner when we got a call from her saying the restaurant claims that there was no reservations under her name (even though she had called to make one) and she couldn’t get a table. She was able to find another restaurant last minute but I find it unfortunate that she had to experience something like this for her birthday. I’ve heard good reviews about this place and was looking forward to trying it out myself but until they review their reservation process, I think I’ll dine elsewhere.

ADDENDUM - The restaurant was very romantic for dinner and the staff was very attentive. Very good service!! On top of that, the food was incredible! Amazing food, and polite, prompt service without being intrusive. Parking was difficult to find as it was quite busy and we had trouble locating the Valet, but it was really a minor inconvenience. The location was beautiful, inside and out.

Loved this restaurant! Real authentic Italian food. My sister and I visited this restaurant during Thanksgiving 2018. It was a rushed hour so we had to do reservations. Staff were friendly and very cozy warm place. The person who was serving was very knowledgeable about Italian food. We had ordered vegetarian Pasta, noodles and dessert and it met our expectations. Prices are $$$ but service is good. We would definitely come here again during Thanksgiving.

Town is a gem of a find. Well within walking distance of all downtown hotels it offers a true bistro ambiance. The food is wonderful. Fried Brussel Sprouts, Caesar salad, Leg of Lamb and Cornish hen with potatoes pave to tempt you palate. The flavours are excellently combined and the presentation is perfect. The staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. We most heartily recommend this restaurant for an absolutely superb meal and experience at a fair price.

Incredible food and service. Food has always come out piping hot, and in large quantities. We've been served by the same waitress both times I've been and the service has been exceptional. Only downside to the spot is that it's so popular now it can get a little cramped for seating - not worth deducting anything off the review over. This is as fine of Italian food as you can get in the city without the pretentiousness of a place like Giovanni's.

A very nice, but tiny, Italian Restaurant in the heart of suburbia. Who would have figured that a great tasting Italian restaurant would be located in Barrhaven rather then little Italy. The prices are moderate but not expensive, the service was exceptional, and the portions we appropriate. They did not chintz on the appetizers, and the rolls were nice and warm. I had personal pan pizza which I could not eat and the others had traditional Italian fare but all were satisfied. We will definitely be going back to this one.

The “home” setting also creates a very relaxed environment. We came to North and Navy tonight to have dinner with our parents and their friends before we were off to the Blue Rodeo Concert at the NAC. We were blown away once again. The food was spectacular and service was that and more. Kara was kind and and attentive with a thorough explanation of the menu. Great service, great food (dinner), and great atmosphere. We look forward to going back on a date night. I made reservations online. I was also able to make modifications and requests through their email notification. It was a bonus that I didn’t have to call in. I mentioned in my request that we were celebrating my parents wedding anniversary of 35 years. They gave us a lovely private room, nice view. In addition, a complimentary (no-charge) slice of cheesecake for my parents - in honour of the celebration. They start you off with providing you bread, butter balls, and (of course) balsamic/olive oil dipping plate. Waiter was on point. He knew the menu well as he was able to suggest meals and wine pairing. Parking was a hassle as the restaurant doesn’t have their own parking lot. We parked nearby for a flat rate of $5 on a Saturday at 6:15pm. Calamari was delicious. 😍 I ordered the lobster ravioli.

Ok. The is one of the more deserving 5-stars I've documented on here. The service is deserving of 6-stars. We were there for my Grandma's 90th birthday. And we were a huge group. Over 90 of us showed up. The servers were so well organized and plentiful in numbers. Drink orders were promptly served and we ordered many, many rounds. The kitchen staff deserve special recognition too: the food came out in tight waves for the various tables and the temperature and taste for everyone at my table was spot on. To top it off they managed to process the bills and payments in rapid fashion too. This may sound like a paid advertisement but in all sincerity I was just so happy they served my family so professionally and superbly. Bravo Biagio's.

This is exactly the kind of greasy spoon Italian spot I was looking for. If you're looking for generous portion sizes, rich flavours and good prices, this is the spot for you. We walked in with a party of 15 and they were gracious enough to accommodate us without hesitation. Cocktails weren't great, but the food is good and the portion sizes left us satisfied. Don't expect fine dining but if you're hungry you'll definitely leave satisfied.

Amazing place to bring the family. Kids are more than welcome and they even offered them "pizza dough" to play with. Similar to Plasticine, my kids enjoyed playing with it the whole meal! They don't have an official kids meal, but accommodated us and made a kid size pasta dish. They also stored our stroller so we did not need to leave it in the way. I highly recommend this place.

Went there for lunch last Thursday and had the Tucson Salmon. It was perfectly blackened and the right sized portion for the size of the salad and price of the meal. Tasty combination of quinoa, greens, onions, tomatoes and cucumbers. They could have chopped the onions and greens a little more as they kept falling off the fork. Great service and ambiance.

Came here for Valentine’s day dinner. Friendly staff and great food. We ordered Chicken Parmigiana and Mediterranean Chicken and we loved it. The prices were reasonable. I strongly recommend this place if you love Italian food.

My wife and I ate lunch there today( April 9). It was snowy and cold outside but warm and cozy inside. We were served by a young lady who was very helpful and very sweet. I didn’t get her name, but she moved from Niagara Falls to Ottawa a few years ago. She is to be commented! The food we ordered was absolutely delicious and hit the spot! Hope to visit again for dinner!
