Sandwich bread was very greasy. Cappuccino was very good. If you are planing to study or read, better go somewhere else. Daytime regulars are fairly loud. It’s not the store’s fault, but it’s good to know if you expect that. Went to Starbucks to study instead.

You advertise you are open until 9pm, yet when I arrived at 8:52pm Monday the 11th, your drive through message said "we are closed". I continued up to the window on my way out and there were 4 employees gathered just inside the window, laughing and talking, having a great old time. I guess customer service is a lost art, off to Starbucks I went. Enjoy your laughs.

I used to love this place. The last 3 times I have come the food is not nearly as good as it used to be. The Mac and Cheese is lumpy as hell. The sandwiches are hard and gross. Not sure what has happened. Staff is always very pleasant.

Horrible experience and i will never go to this place again ,last night me and my parents went to panera we ordered 2 hot chocolates and 1 cafe mocha , we received the order while we are sitting there and the entire order was disgusting the hot chocolate had way too much sugar in it and my cafe mocha did not taste even close to a mocha we couldn't even drink it , i went to the server in the kitchen and i complained to her she went asked someone else about the issue she came back she said she can not do nothing for me i brought the entire tray of drinks to the counter and left it and i told her i am leaving she did not seem to care at all and i left , awful customer service and this people should not be working there, complete waste of money

Great food and great staff. The smoked salmon sandwich on a pretzel bun is to die for, just ask for cream cheese and a slice of tomato if you like those two toppings on smoked salmon.

Fresh-A-Fare is an exceptional option when it comes to eating healthy in the Barrie area. Very friendly staff who are patient. I give them merely three stars due to two things: the absurd pricing, even for a salad is inexcusable. It shouldn't be more expensive to eat organic food but it certainly is here. Secondly, I find the quality of their meat and falafel specifically poor. Last time I ate there I had the $11.70 falafel, and it was quite revolting. Even I could have made a better one. The falafel was so chalky and dry I had to pick it out and just eat the lettuce wrap that I again paid $11.70 for. In the end I learned to only order a salad there if I want anything decent, although the prices will forever steer me away from here.

All I bought here was a small container of fruit, which was expensive, and the staff aren't the nicest. When I walked up to order on a separate occasion, the staff made a comment toward me and started laughing, which made me immediately leave and go order at a different spot in the cafeteria. Never going back as I am extremely unimpressed with the service/staff.

Got yelled at that we had to order at the other end then yelled at again to go to the other girl. There was no signs directing where to order, we only went to the till to order because we had been standing at the other end and no one acknowledged us and this other lady was placing her order at the till. They were very rude which is not what you need after being at the hospital. Three stars only because the food was good.

I arrived at 8:10 pm to order a sandwich and take to my room (patient). The lady (Franka) working there in a very flat tone said we are about to close. I asked if there was time for me to order a sandwich. With no reply she turned away and stocked potato chips in a rack next to the cash register. I went to Timmies 2 doors down. Frustrated, my son went back to check the hrs of business and learned from Franka that closing time was in fact 9 pm. He then asked whay she could not have made my order for me. Her reply "if you don't like it, call my boss buddy". My son suggested that in a customer service position that she might have addressed him as Sir. Her reply "ya well I'm from Oakville". I really enjoy Druxy's sandwiches, but I will probably never darken this one's doorway again. And I will call and speak to the manager. I hope that he would rather potential customers would order at his shop.

Some reviews for this place are really quite exuberantly glowing. I am never in Barrie. Maybe there's not much to choose from. Lunch was definitely good: a nice little grilled chicken and Brie sandwich. I enjoyed it. The server was pleasant. It was good, but over-the-moon fabulous? No. Finally got out here for a "coffee" with a friend. Had the "french toast" which was more like a divine banana bread. Super cute place, great service and busy!

The cute little cafe in Barrie near the bus station, a short walk from the Bay. I was visiting Barrie for the weekend. The lazy tulip Cafe was recommended by Google map. Hands down the best food I've ever had! We're hooked. We discovered this restaurant not even a week ago and I've been there four times already! Arguably the BEST eggs Benedict on earth! They have delicious coffee and lovely super friendly wait staff. We absolutely love this place.

I've walked past this place so many times and I've always wanted to go there, but I've always been on a tight schedule and I thought today was the day to go in and see how it was. I went with my 7 year old, she got a hot chocolate and I got a Cafe mocha. They were both super delicious! The atmosphere is nice cozy and the staff were super friendly and service was quick. Prices are on par with other coffee shops, but the quality surpasses other places. I will definitely be returning when I'm in the downtown area.

The coffee and the menu here is excellent, the location is great if you’re getting off the bus, sitting room is adequate and the service is very good. The taste of the coffee isn’t as good as other places in town but it’s not a bad coffee At all. I would recommend the start if you’re also looking to get a bite to eat with your drink

I would strongely recommend the owner consider hiring new staff or properly training the current employees. the three males that were working seemed like it was the first day for all of them. their communications skills and knowledge of the menu were far subpar. tables in the store were also dirty. the sub was ultimately fine but I'm in no rush to return to this location.

I went here for lunch. The place was busy and the store was clean. The workers were hard at work and the line was moving quickly. All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I ordered the smoked salmon sandwich and a carrot cake. The price was quite high for the salmon sandwich considering there wasn't very much meat inside. They also serve the sandwich with a hard boiled egg inside and no cream cheese which I thought was out of the ordinary but I was willing to give it a shot. The sandwich was served on a pretzel bun with a couple thin pieces of smoked salmon, lettuce and one egg. The salmon was extremely salty and the egg felt so out of place as it hardly even covered up a third of the sandwich. The bread was decent. The carrot cake I had was amazing and I highly recommend it. All in all the place is really nice including the staff but I did not enjoy my meal. I am willing to go back and try a different item on the menu and will definitely pick up the carrot cake again.

Have eaten at fresh-a-fare several times and always have a fabulous meal. Stopped through on our way up north on a busy Thursday lunch rush. The ability to choose any of the breads with your sandwich really is the highlight of this place. This time I have to roast beef on the pretzel bread with a spicy mayo. Amazing combination as the pretzel bread really was subtle and helped to add a new flavour and texture to the sandwich. The choices of salads and the ability to customize everything just really sets this place apart! Will continue to stop in when I can.

Today was my first time at this location and honestly it was fantastic. Disgusting. Doesn’t even deserve a single star. The employee working couldn’t have cared any less. I ordered a 12” chicken bacon ranch, he threw a clump of chicken on half of it, threw the bacon on the other half, didn’t separate the pieces, half the cheese was falling off, put it in the toaster, took it out before it was done, slopped on my 2 toppings (with the majority falling out) and wrapped it up. I got it home and realized he didn’t even fully cut it in half. 👌🏼

I have been coming to this place since last 2 years and i never had bad experience but tonight the girl with tattoo on her neck, she was so rude, didnt pay any attention to my order. When i asked her to grill my pita, she replied the grill has been broken. I know she lied to me. i felt so bad. While i was walking outside the store, she flipped us off. After ordering I asked the girl to fill up my water bottle and she said she’s busy and can’t fill up bottle. I said wow!!! At least she could have told that wait till I finish other orders. I understand that it can be busy and Fraustrating but this kind of behaviour is just insulting

So I came in on March the 12th at 4:00 pm and I asked for the same sub that I’ve been getting for Years now all around Ontario. I always ask for a pizza sub with both types of the salamis, since I don’t like just one but I like the sauce with both so I am specific with what I ask for. Nothing is different (no more or less meet on the sub) I’ve never had an issue with asking for both the slices until I came to this subway, the man was very rude and wouldn’t let me get the sub the way I want it to be. It was unfair to me especially since I’ve been getting this sub for years now. If I ever come back to this subway and he is working im taking myself and my friends out of the store I would never come back to be so disrespected like that ever again.

I enjoy having lunch here. This place had a great atmosphere, a friendly staff, and a clean space. They have the soda machine with many different flavor options, compared to the traditional machine. The subs they made for me each time was always filled with good amount of fresh and delicious toppings.

Absolutely disgusting. Restaurant hasn't been cleaned in a decade, every table has bits of old food all over it. The bread was stale and took the employee about 10 mins to cut (which she used with a dirty knife). Then, shockingly, discovered a giant rock-like substance in the sub. Probably part of a hot pepper, but not sure. Staff are lazy, there is zero cleanliness, never coming back. Oh and watching the employee make my sandwich for a half hour was the most painful thing I've ever had to experience. Yikes. Then when I tried to eat it, there was more sauce all over the bread than inside of it. What a mess.

I'm a regular here and most of the time the sandwich artist isn't even paying attention to what you're saying and especially to what they're doing. I've worked in food before so I understand it can get overwhelming, but I mean they always do at least something wrong everytime I go there and it's really annoying.

*Update: The exact sub and bread I wanted could have been ordered via uber eats for this location. Please educate your employees better as I was not in the wrong* Been coming here for last few years, always order the same thing and never had an issue till today. Even the other employee there was trying to tell said employee that was arguing with me that it was how they usually did it. I tried to ask if he could just make it how I requested and give me the contact info for the supervisor as multiple employees have served me the same sandwhich with zero question or grief. He proceeded to give me more attitude and then cut my bread into 4 pieces. I ordered 2 turkey kid subs and have always seen them just cut the ends off. I walked out and would like to speak to someone in regards to this just to get clarity because multiple employees have given me zero problems on the bread I choose, Ive never been given limitations or told I couldnt get said thing (with the exception of them being out). Im fine with misunderstandings but the employee was not very nice at all and I wasnt trying to be rude was just genuinely confused.

Steak and cheese sandwich had very little meat in it and the service wasn't great either. Trying to save by cutting portions may mot be a good idea since Firehouse Sub opened across the street and it's far better. Won't be eating there again.

TERRIBLE customer service, I bought a footlong turkey sub- first she puts it on a dirty tray that just had change all over it, anyways I sit down to eat and there were 4 teenagers standing near me spitting at each other through straws (which is gross alone) then after having only 1 bite of my sub spit lands all over me and my sub. (The kids then took off) Disgusted I go back to the counter and ask if they can Make me a new one.. the girl dissapears then returns and says sorry that's not our problem ! I've worked at a subway before and currently serve at a family restaurant, and I would have NEVER treated a customer so poorly... so I paid over $10 for a sub covered in spit, and had to go back to work with no lunch.

Every time I go to this location, they always skimp out on the toppings they provide (like of you have tuna they don't fill the scoop and then they spread it paper thin). They basically give you the bare minimum and it makes you wonder, like they're trying to cut cost at every turn. They also never provide the coupon, which means not only do you not get the free coupons for filling out the surveys, but there is also never an opportunity to provide feedback. I unfortunately won't be going to this location anymore.

Not horrible, but everytime I've ordered the bread is stale and hard. Makes the whole sandwich not as good. Store has also been closed a few times when it was supposed to be open. Employees are alright but not overly friendly.

Went to subway today. The service was slow. My main concern is the cucumber looked at least a day, if not two days old. I suggested maybe they replace it. He did not comment. My kids were with me and they only eat lettuce and cucumber so I was forced to have him dog through all the slime cucumber to find me five of the best slices. I paid $9.00 for a sub with slimy cucumber and then had to ask the cashier to give me a napkin because she did not. Waste of my money!

This use to be an excellent place to get a delicious sub with great service. Seems like management has changed and I hope it's only today that the service was terrible. A worker was sitting on the comfy chairs, wearing flip flops with her legs hanging over the chairs while playing on her phone watching make-up tutorials while one employee worked hard helping 6 sub customers.

Why I give it a one today, paid $12 for a sub with hardly any meat, I questioned her crumbs in the steak basket she said there were lots, watched her fill it half full twice, said they werent even full tossed a little on said the bread big, I go here at least 3 times a week with my family, so disgusted, paid and walked out a few minutes ago, go watch your camera.

I really like Subway subs. The part that bothers me is that I hear and see advertising (at “participating locations”). If you’re not going to participate in the “sub of the day” (like everyone else) then at least remove that advertising in your store. You should be participating. A franchise is ALL about doing things consistently from location to location and visit to visit.

I want to start by saying that this is by far the best meatball sub I've ever had! The layout is a tad crowded especially when there are lots of people in the store (which seems like all the time because of how good it is). The menu is easily laid out on one of the walls and the staff is extremely nice. They even walk your sub to your table when it's ready. The meatball sub I had was absolutely amazing. The cheese was melted perfectly, which essentially blended into the sauce and the bun only complimented the texture and flavour of the meatball/cheese mixture. I got the spicy meatball sub and it was just a nice hint of heat without being overpowering. I also purchased one of the pre-packaged brownies and what a treat it was! Very good, moist brownie with a slight crisp on the edges. Fully fudge flavour. Suffice to say, I will definitely be back! I want to try more subs but going there and not ordering a meatball sub seems out of place for me.

Really good subs, great value for your dollar. Loads of meat, fresh ingredients. (My large "Hook and Ladder" sub clocked in at 682 grams!). Choice of hot sauces if you feel a bit or very adventurous is a nice touch. Nice, fun atmosphere. The fireman hats included with kids meals are super cute ☺

I first saw an ad for this sub chain while i Florida and dint get a chance to visit any location. To my surprise I saw a store in Barrie. Today I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Italian so I can compare it to the Italian at Subway and the assorted at Mr. Sub. The sandwich was excellent and was delivered to your table after you place the order at the counter.. It was flavourful without that manufactured meat taste you get at Subway. The bread was fresh and did not overwhelm the sandwich as it does at Subway. If you like hot sauce you will love their selection. The decor was colourful and very welcoming. The store was clean and the staff very friendly. I would highly recommend you give Firehouse a try. You wont be disappointed. I intend to go back and try as many of the different sandwiches ad I can. Stay tuned for the reviews of different sandwiches. Meanwhile, you wont be disappointed with the Italian.

Had the Medium Italian... Everything was quite good. The bun was toasted perfectly and the meat and cheese were plentiful. Staff were friendly. $10 seemed a bit pricey for the size. But overall a great sub and a nice place

Went with my boyfriend for the first time on Tuesday. Staff were extremely friendly and explained how everything works. We waited approximately 5 minutes for both our large subs to be made. They were absolutely delicious and I was impressed with the portions! Will be going back soon

This restaurant runs well. They can have huge lineup and get through it quickly. Good fast and efficient service. Food is well prepared and not sloppy like some sub shops. Nothing I hate worse is a sub or Burger or sandwich that is thrown together and it is a huge mess when you get it!!!!!!

Worst customer service at this location. At first I thought perhaps it was just one staff member who was having a bad day, but it's the same bad customer service every time I have been there. Was at this location this evening! They were open till 10pm! I got there at 9:15 and the open sign was off! The employee seemed very pissed off that she had to serve me. I said aren't you open till 10pm? She said yes and was pretty pissed off. Over half of the stuff was already put away too! No meat balls or chicken and some other meats. We visit this location generally 2 times at least a week! No more, this location has left a sour taste in my mouth!!!!
