Very good service, nice pedicure. Loved that she was very gentle and so polite. However I'm giving it 4 stars as it was just too expensive... Should have called to ask before I booked. It was 45$ (regular pedicure+5$ tip) Just way too much in my opinion. Maybe I'm off, but I just wasn't expecting it. Otherwise, really nice, clean, friendly place.

Thee best brazilian i have ever had! I have been getting brazilians for about 2 years now, so pain tolerance has been ok. But this time it almost felt pain free, the girl i had did an amazing job and she made me feel so comfortable! The place is very sterile and clean. Unprofessional behaviour and the stylist had 0 knowledge about hairstyles! She didn’t know what to do even though I explained a number of times what I wanted. And instead I was insulted with a number of comments that I am not allowing her to do her job. She had to call another stylist in between to just do a partition. Waste of one and half hour and 25$! I had to another studio the next day to fix my hair! Do refrain from going to this place. One of my friend had even hair damage with the colours they used on her hair!

I phoned to make an apt for a haircut. I have never heard of their method of pricing. The girl who answered the call assumed I did know. When I asked her to explain, she did in a courteous manner. I had two questions, so she answered them. When I asked (in regards to the levels) what the numbers mean, like what does a one denote and what does a six denote she acted like I was four years old and told me she already explained it. I said yes, you told me there are levels based on experience, but what do the numbers represent in terms of experience? She got a little catty at this point and said maybe she should get someone else to help 'explain' it to me. I refused and tried one more time. I said, the numbers mean experience so what level of experience does one mean and what level of experience does six mean? She told me, and then I thanked her and said I had never even heard of this pricing before this call.....(long pause) then, instead of being gracious, she got defensive, and acted as if I were too stupid to understand 'simple' instructions. I decided at that moment this is not the place for me. If she cannot handle being pleasant and kind while explaining policy to a customer, then she obviously cannot be trusted with my appearance!

You’ve heard that people are very unlikely to eat in the restaurant they’ve worked for since they know too many things that customers would never know? I worked at su nails (FT and PT) since they started. I left a year ago only because I changed my course of profession. And now, I’m a regular customer, visiting them every 2-4 weeks. As a former professional nail tech, trust me, I know I can trust everyone that works there because their par is too high in this industry. I enjoyed all the time I spent there. Both as an employee and as a customer. It’s never worth the risk for me to try out new places in Halifax.

I had a basic manicure and pedicure and my daughter had basic polish application. They switched the nail colour for one nail to be different, but they did it on her middle finger, not ring finger, which we both thought was strange. My daughter's nail polish started peeling off that night and was entirely gone from all toe and hand nails after two days! That wasn't a big deal because they only charged $20 for the application, but it felt like wasted money because it fell right off. My nails looked beautiful, but my pedicure was sloppy. I've had many pedicures before and I felt that the polish application should have been more carefully applied. I made an appt online, but it was a Friday evening and they were still taking walk-ins even though the place was overbooked. I was shuffled from chair to chair and had my manicure in the "waiting area" chair. This was okay, but then I saw the final bill. It was $100 including tip for me and my daughter. There are better places, that do a more careful application, for less. I will not be back.

I got my nails done in different shop, and only had removal at Su nails. The lady who did my nail didn’t seem professional maybe she was apprentice. It was gel nail but she had hard time removing it (which I think she didn’t apply enough removal acetone). Then she scraped my nail until it got dry and wounded. I have gotten gel nail for years and never had it before. *I don’t think she soaked my nails for 20min. This is my point too, it was too short for my nails get soaked. I had my pedicure here and it was amazing! Su was really good and she even fixed up my brazilian for me. She did not charge me too much and she did a really great job! They are all very friendly and on top of that, I love the chairs for the pedicure and foot spa. They’re massage chairs! If I live in Halifax, I would be a loyal costumer to Su! ❤️

i was impressed the first two times i went, but i am very upset with my recent visit. it was already frustrating enough that they barely speak english which makes it extremely difficult to communicate with them which is obviously a very important part of this job. the guy who did my nails took almost 2 HOURS!!!!!!!! absolutely ridiculous. he didn’t even know what the shape i wanted was (stiletto) i had to describe them as “pointy”. it took over an hour for him just to shape them, and he kept applying WAY too much acrylic powder and now i have excess stuck under my nails and they are all unevenly shaped. at one point while shaping my nails he stopped to check his phone!!!!!! another lady ended up doing my polish and they were both very rude. never have the same person either and it’s so upsetting when you trust that the technician knows what they’re doing and they end up being totally clueless. i had a gift card for $50 which said “no tax” which i assumes meant i didn’t have to pay tax, but it meant NOT INCLUDING THE TAX!!!! and they never tell you whether the polish is bio gel or solar so you never know if it will end up being $50 or $55 and the tax situation is always very confusing. i ended up paying $55 plus tax so about $63. also do not have a website which is very sketchy. so angry with my experience and will not be returning.

I had the dipped nails applied. It ended up looking beautiful. I have the french tips. They lasted two weeks but they say they are good for 3-4 weeks. They lifted a little on some nails but otherwise they are beautiful. I am getting a full set of gels next time though as each time you get the dips you pay 45 without cuticle clean up. 55 with cuticle clean up. Gels sets are cheaper! Not sure how healthy the dipped nails are either because they are still acrylic. Great service and clean friendly atmosphere.

Went with my mom and sister and were able to get side-by-side-by-side pedicures. Their seats are comfy heated massage chairs. We got a basic 30 minute service which was just enough time for a quick filing, the briefest of foot rubs, and polish. My color lasted nearly a month! Service was friendly although the atmosphere was pretty loud.

Depends on how busy they are... last time I didn't enjoy it at all.. one of the workers clipped his toe nails in front of us in a very disgusting way.. They ignore their customers and keep speaking their own language to the point it became so annoying and disrespectful. I always have a feeling they are talking about the customers

Kylie's Nails is one of the worse "chop shops" ... they do not even try to speak English and speak (or yell) at one another in their native tongue and are very rude ... the service is terrible and is much better elsewhere ... I would not recommend this place at all.

Date of service was Friday, March 15, 2019. This was my first experience. The girl I had was really nice and she did a good job trimming my cuticles. However, when I got to look at the nail color after wards I noticed it wasn’t down to the cuticle all the way, and I am not one to complain but this honestly looks like my nails have already grown out for a week or more. Other than that they do look good and I like them it just would have been nice to enjoy them longer. I’m sure it depends on who you get as well, I’m just here to give an honest review! So if I could recommend anything it would to be aware of that. Next time I will pay more attention! Lol

I booked this place specifically on a Sunday so I could get my nails done and have a pedicure before I go away on holiday. They decided to close on Sunday for the long weekend and didnt even have a decency to call and let me know. I drove over 2 hours to be here. Terrible customers service. They should be ashamed of themselves. I would definitely never recommend this place to anyone and I definitely will never book here again.

Terrible experience. The lady was in a rush and after digging her nails into my cuticles over and over which caused read and sensitivity to them she realized that it all started bubbling weird shouldn’t have. She kept adding layers of gel only to realize that these bubbles weren’t going away so I eventually just said forget about it.

The older guy didn’t listen when I said I wanted gel nails , he put on other nails and please tell them they really need to sanitize there stuff that the use on people instead of putting them in a drawer and wash your hands after going and touching other people feet and etc or put gloves on . This how people get infection and stuff. I was really unhappy with the service especially it was a gift to myself since it was my birthday present to myself.

I loved Rain Bown ! I got a dip and a pedicure. They have so many dip colors to choose from and even have about 2000 colors that are available in dip, gel, and polish so you can match your nails and toes! I just moved here and I am very picky when picking a nail place so I have been searching for a place that meets my standards. Fountain Rainbow definitely meets my standards; it is very clean, the staff was friendly, and even the music was relaxing.

Horrible place! They cut my toe while doing my pedicure and just rinsed off the blood with the dirty water. Only gave me antiseptic when i asked. The staff tried to cover it up but i had already noticed when the cut happened as it hurt. I asked for a discount and had to fight for them to give me 10% off. Very awful experience.

Owner did my nails. I asked for regular color and she put shellac. Halfway through I realized she's applying shellac and she insisted that I had asked for it even after I had repeatedly told her I did not. She did not want to fix the situation even though she was far from done and insisted on carrying through with shellac. Service wasn't even worth it because my left hand nails were all terribly slanted. It's been a week since my visit and some of the acrylic is coming off the side of the nail, I think they use really cheap glue. It also doesn't help that they all don't wear gloves and there is an employee there that is a heavy nail biter. Additionally, they borrow tools from each others stations and I noticed that they dont clean them from client to client. Summary: bad service and not clean at all. Go somewhere else

It's my second time going there and I got the same lady who did my nails the first time. It was my first time getting acrylics done so she did an okay job. Today I won't be going there again the woman deliberately took the nail drill and took it against my skin (which burned a little) and if that was bad enough she takes the nail dehydrator and went over my little scab. I'm studying to do nails myself and I know that you're supposed to be doing that. Oh I wanted to get ombre done on my nails and she said "oh we don't do that." yet they have a display on their desk by the door and saying that they don't do them. I won't be back to that place now that's a promise

wish i could give these guys 0 stars first off i went in because i seen all of the great reviews they had online. i called to ask for pricing and made an appointment. I asked for gel nails, they gave me acrylic nails. I got a quote for $60, i ended up having to pay $150. Does this make any kind of sense? i asked them why and they said the pricing changed last minute. The worse $150 i ever had to pay and would never recommend anyone to go here. the nails were mediocre and shaping is a little off.

I went there for my first time and the staff members were very friendly and I was on a time frame so they got me in and got me out. Thank you. I take a better look at my nails and none of them are the same size, one nail is wider than the other and some don't match the others length wise. In some much of a rush to get the job done they left small bubbles in the acrylic. I left my nail blank because I didn't have time to get them done, I'll just do them when I go when with my own stuff. Since I'm learning how to do them on my own.

Had an excellent pedicure and an amazing gel manicure! The color is wonderful and perfect for the holiday season. The guy that did my manicure did an amazing job especially of the nail-art. My only complaint is that after my pedicure the lady that did them told me that the gentleman was going to do my manicure before she put a top coat on. I went right over and got my manicure done, and after she came right along to do the top coat, said she didn't forget me (☺). She did the top coat on my toes as he finished up with a top coat on my hands. She said they're still a little tacky so back under the dryer a few more minutes, she felt them again and she said that they were dry. I just got home, took my socks off and they obviously were not completely dry because on both of my big toes the top part of my pedicure is squished down as if it wasn't dry. Because it is a red sparkle it's not as noticeable unless you really look at my toes nevertheless it's still as a bit upsetting when you pay so much for service( a manicure and a pedicure)

Very disappointed with my nails. Paid for a gel manicure with French polish. My nails were made a little shorter than I wanted which was fine but on top of that the white tips are not done well. They deep into the rest of my nail. The technician asked me what I thought after all was said and done — I could hardly ask her to reattach my nail. And she was very sweet and I didn’t want to be rude. The gel polish is already peeling on day 2 and there are bubbles in it??? I’ve never had this problem before. Will be needing to get my nails redone in the next week instead of my usual three weeks. Won’t be coming back here. This was a waste of $80.

My friend and I went for GEL refills. We have an appointment time. When we arrived we were quickly sat down and we watched the woman attending to WALK INS after she started on us. I was concerned about what she was doing and asked if what she was going was using gel and she said yes yes it's gel...no it was ACRYLIC . So after manicure or attending to my cuticles ,she slapped the acrylic on, then put regular mail polish on and charged my and my friend. $46! For ACRYLIC not gel. I'm so unhappy with my nails and I will NEVER go to Princess Nails. Rip off!

I love princess nails Dartmouth crossing, have always had amazing nails there. This location I’ve been to 5 times tops. A mistake every time. They only autoclave their nail clippers and they use their nail buffers, files and drill file bit pieces on everyone. I’m surprised more people don’t get infections. I got the same girl the last two times and she’s completely horrible. I wanted almond shape and they try to push the square because that’s all they can do decently. She filed all of them into the shape and they were so horrible and all different shapes and sizes. She kept repeating ‘look away’ ‘don’t watch me work’ ‘look at your phone not nails’, and that’s the second time she’s done that when I’ve come in. When I did peak the horrible job she was doing was shocking.. Last time they were done by her they were paper thin and took her like two hours.... I said I was unhappy but she didn’t even let me finish my sentence and snapped at me saying she wasn’t finished (even though the damage was done and the only way to fix it would be to start over which she didn’t). I tried to express my concern with the horrible misshapen nails even when she was close to done but was told ‘it’s my fingers’. Well then.... I didn’t know my fingers can make my nail shape look like a lopsided triangle?? Only my pinky’s were almond shaped.. after I expressed concern the second time, she told me I needed to pay before she continued. I wish I was able to just leave because they looked horrible. Then they tried to scam us to pay 60 instead of 40 and played the language barrier scam but ended up realizing that I wasn’t stupid and gave me what was really owed. When it was time to put polish on, she applied it standing and bouncing around like a crazy person. It was all streaky, all over my fingers and not even on my full nail. The other woman (the mother?) was at least nice and very pleasant even though she did and horrible job on my friends nails. She applies the clear coat all over my fingers and didnt even bother to clean it. Take warning that this place is a huge waste of money! Try princess nails Dartmouth, the guy there is just AMAZING along with the other staff. Clayton park location is alright too!! You have been warned. Do not come here

This is my first review, ever...but I had to. I hope to save anyone else the same experience. Basically, they overbook so you wait. They had me soak my shellac in bowls of acetone so when she finally came to me, my skin was white from the nails to my knuckle on each finger. Didn’t let me choose my colour...I was never given samples to look at. She reused tools that had been used on other clients, so gross. When she painted my nails, she did it very quickly, standing up. Messy job, had polish on my cuticles and on other parts of my fingers. VERY rough when removing the cuticles, tugged at them, did a poor job. No lotion, no scrub. Didn’t ask what shape I wanted. In the end the mess cost me $60. The skin on my fingers is extremely dry from soaking in the acetone, starting to peel today. Horrible. Honestly, I would highly recommend booking elsewhere. I won’t be going back.

This place is the absolute worst! I can't even say that you get what you pay for because the cheap price that they advertise is super inflated once they add extra costs for the colour of your polish or the scrub they use without informing you that there's an added cost. And it's super sketchy with them using the same dremel tool to shape & file your nails, along with everyone elses. Eww. And they left me soaking in water (plain water) until it was cold. Also, the one woman spent the entire time face timing her boyfriend. Very unprofessional. Terrible experience. Do yourself a favour & skip this place.

I've been going to the same hairdresser (Chelsea) here for a couple years. I book ahead so there's never a wait, she is very friendly and even has a Christmas card every year for me. I'm not very good at describing what I want but she still always seems to do a great job. The prices are a bit higher though. (I pay around $35 before tip). But you can't beat getting a head massage!

I've been to this location 4 or 5 times, and it's definitely a mixed bag for men's cuts. The first time was fantastic, and each time after that has been increasingly worse. This last one, I was informed at the end of my cut that my hairdresser generally does not perform men's haircuts, and does not know how to style men's hair. (This of course not influencing the price of the haircut) I'm glad it's winter, as I'll be wearing more touques around town for the next few weeks. The staff is lovely and nice to talk to, prices are modest, and you nearly get what you pay for. (For men's cuts, anyway)

I called because their website says they do eyelash extensions. When I called she said they don’t but gave me a name of another shop, which is great. However, I still had questions and figured I could ask the person on the phone. I am by no means a girly girl and have no idea the process of getting extensions or how it works etc. So when I asked her to explain to me the process, she automatically scoffed and said “what do you mean. They’re eyelash extensions. They glue them on”. Ok fine, but what is the process, how do they stay on, how long do they last. And she began to talk to me like I was an idiot. “They’re glued on, they stay on with glue, what do you mean the process *scoff*”. This is my usual place to get my haircut, but after that attitude I am not going there again.

I went to get my hair trimmed today and I sat in the chair for 2 minutes and the girl cut around the bottom of my hair and I still paid $30+ for it. Not impressed for such a short time and only scissors being used. I definitely will not be returning as this experience was a complete rip off. I dont recommend anyone go here if they want a simple hair haircut because they will charge you full price no matter what.

I was called to come back for follow up and photos and the difference was incredible. The staff were very nice and nice lobby/waiting area. I am no longer thinking about plastic surgery.

I am very happy that I gave it a try to blue light laser therapy at Vitality Medi Spa. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning because I have been dealing with acne for almost 10 years and nothing seems to be working. Fortunately, it had worked after 5-6 sessions and it even helped with my rosacea and overall skin quality. Jenny is very knowledgeable and explains all the procedure , products very well. She is also available through phone or email when you have questions relating your products or treatment. Most importantly, all the staff are very nice and kind, I will definitely recommend this place and Blue light laser therapy to those who are suffering with acne. Thanks to Jenny , I do not have to apply make up on to cover acne everyday :)

Really unhappy with this service. i was so unhappy that i told the stylist (don) after i left (even though i felt super uncomfortable doing so), as i asked for ombre not highlights...(i even had a picture from pintrest) and he continues to go on and on saying it would've taken 3 times as long and would've cost $350 even with 50% off? super disappointed and certainly not worth the cost.

I am on month four and have 2 appointments at Vitalilty. My new way of eating is going to stay for the rest of my life. After week 2, my hubby joined me since he saw my progress and results. I only lost a few pounds but I know the toxins are leaving my body. I like this feeling and have so much energy and feel so much stronger. Before I needed at least 9 hours of sleep and still woke up groggy. Now I get up on my own and ready for the day. I don't need that coffee to get me going either, detox tea is all I need. My house has never been so clean, laundry is always done, fantastic dinner each day, and I can still have energy to get more done, on top of my full-time job in my home office.

I see Shawn McGowan for my hair and I must say he is the best I have ever been to. He takes great interest and listens to what your likes and dislikes are for your hair type. He has an excellent knowledge base of colour and styles on all levels...take it from some one who has been every colour of the rainbow almost. My hair is in excellent shape for the processing I go through. I have fallen in love with my hair again. Trust me, Shawn is the best...he makes you feel very comfortable not to mention has a great sense of humour and style.The whole salon experience to check in to paying for your service is excellent.

Great Find!. Recently I was looking for a place to rejuvinate my tired looking skin and hair. Working in the sales industry, keeping myself looking youthful is important. I made an appointment, had a consult with Jess who gave me a consultation giving me a couple of her ideas on what would regain some of my youthful appearance. I truely felt as if she gave me an honest assesment of what would be the best procedure. I did get her reccomendation and couldnt have been any happier with it! My hair is full after doing the hair treatment they have there and my skin looks great. Any guys looking for a good medi-spa, this would be the one!!! Thx again!

I’ve been here a few times to get my nails done and I always end up with exactaly what I wanted, the staff are always friendly as well! The only thing that concerns me is that they do not disinfect any of their tools before using them, i’ve never had an issue with infection or anything but it’s definatly a possibility... Oh, and they don’t touch your cuticles so your nails grow out faster which is kind of a bummer. Overall it’s a great experience at a decent price!

Don't love the use of the electric filer on my bare nails, but overall they look great and are exactly what I wanted. However if your nail beds/cuticles are sensitive you may find the prep work on your nails a bit much!

Visited today for a pedicure with a friend, the salon is gorgeous, and very clean. We had booked to go together but were told that they would have to work on us one at a time because they were down a technician, they were quite apologetic about it, but it was no problem, we just enjoyed the massage chairs until it was our turn. The ladies are all very nice and friendly. I would definitely like to go back and try a shellac manicure or a set of nails. The only somewhat critical thing would be, is that I noticed afterwards that my cuticle area is very sore and tender where my cuticles were pushed back and trimmed. I'm not sure if that is because of how my nail tech performed my service, or perhaps I just have overly sensitive skin in this area, but the next time I get a pedicure I'll ask them not to trim the area.
