I've done one bootcamp with Trena and a intro course with Michel at this location, really enjoy this studio. nice big window, modern interior. Feel very comfortable and Trena is really fun to learn from! Everyone in the classes is super friendly, I would recommend checking this out as a single or with your partner!

House of Eights Dance Co. has been a fantastic experience! I have been taking beginner classes as a way to fit more physical activity into my week and House of Eight's drop-in classes are perfect for that. With a different bit of choreography every class, you don't have to worry about missing one. Options for purchasing classes are just as flexible, with single drop-ins, multi-class passes and different memberships. The instructors are wonderful and make you feel comfortable and confident no matter the class size. I highly recommend trying it out-- the classes are a lot of fun, even if you've never taken dance before!

A few of my friends had mentioned how fun their experience at House of Eights was, so I decided to check them out. I’ve been to a few so far (Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced Heels) and I have loved them so much! Even the one that was clearly too advanced for me was a blast. Love the dance space, the location, the prices and the people. I highly recommend!

I have talked about getting back into dance for ages, and I finally took the plunge with House of Eights. They had a great deal for first timers ($30 for two weeks of unlimited classes). After the first class I was hooked! It's always a very welcoming and positive environment. There are students of all levels of experience in dance and everyone seems to have a good time. I now have a monthly membership (which is still insanely well priced!). I have so far only attended classes by Kevin Lemieux: he is wonderful! Always encourages musicality and fun. Basically I've reconnected with my love of dance, and it's thanks to the great prices/schedules/options and positive vibes of House of Eights. 100 % recommend (I'm already trying to convince all of my friends to come to classes!)

House of Eights is a great place to learn dance in a fun, open, environment where, as someone who never took a dance class before, I felt welcomed from the first class. The instructors pay close attention to each attendees' level of understanding and pace the classes accordingly. The classes vary in structure so with each different style of class you can expect to be uniquely challenged. I can usually only go on the weekends, and Jonathan's beginner hip-hop class is always a high-energy blast, and he always mixes things to keep you engaged. It's a big contrast to hip-hop but I also love the beginner contemporary classes with Joshua; he teaches a mix of technique and routine that really helps to introduce you to an overview of the style.

House of Eights is an amazing dance studio in Halifax. They have a great venue and a wide variety of teachers of different styles and disciplines who are all very talented. The studio owner Abady is so lovely, and and make you feel really welcome and valued. Overall it feels really innovative and exciting. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Their 2 week unlimited pass is a great way to get started at the studio, and gave me the chance to take my first jazz funk and hip hop classes (with some very talented instructors)!
