This bakery is tucked away behind downtown St. John's and is definitely worth the visit. The place has a family-run hole-in-the-wall feel with world beating taste. Freshly made bagels, butter and chocolate croissants, bread, buns, and cookies are all excellent. Make sure you get there for open for the best selection of the best baking you could hope for. They provide freezer bags for those who want to keep their leftovers an extra week and there's a rack with discounts at the side. This is a must visit when in St. John's.

Manna bakery is one of the best places in the city to go for a lunch. They cater sandwiches. The chicken breast on pretzel bread is the local favourite- I highly recommend it. Their cronuts are always great as well, they’re like donuts but made with croissant dough and the icing is perfect. Thursday & Friday are busy around lunch time so get there 11:30-11:45 to avoid a longer line-up.

Great sandwiches and products sold here. The staff and their lineup system, however, is absolutely horrible. You have to line up got a sandwich, then go to another line up to pay. Horrible system. Sometimes it can be up to 45 minutes just in the lineups.

Lovely little gluten free cafe and bakery. We had. Cappuccino ( vegan options only but the coconut milk was delicious), focaccia bread, and chocolate chip muffins. And specialty tea that my friend said was excellent. It's Only a 20 minute walk from City Hostel and about the same from the Sheraton. Very friendly staff too. It's not certified gfree since the kitchen is multi use, but i had no reaction to the food and the taste and texture were just like the real thing.

I’ve tried an arrangement of these deliciously crafted deserts and treats. The raw cheesecakes are so incredible and decadent and the flavour options for cupcakes/cakes are amazing. Matthew puts his heart and love for food into his work. He’s easy to reach and communicate with! Definitely a must try!

Great little bakery located on Portugal Cove Rd just outside St. John's. Excellent Bread, Rolls, Pies and other deserts. Everything is made daily on site. Bakery is in a bit of an isolated spot near Winsor Lake the City of St John's Water supply but is worth the short drive. Called the Tilt house and located where it is because it was a popular location to stop and eat in early days.

Lovely selection of fresh bread in rectangular and circular loaves, including wholemeal, Ezekiel, multigrain, and also a beer bread made with the spent grains from the local Quidi Vidi Brewing Company. Also has scones, fish cakes, sandwiches, pies, locally roasted coffee, jams, knits, etc, and à wall of Newfy cookies & bars. Kind, patient service. And yay ! There are signs asking patrons to not idle their cars ! God bless the bakery owners for caring about our earth & air.

Never gonna pay full price for bread again. For anyone that goes through alot of bread, buns or wraps, this is the place to buy it. Makes you really wonder how much money supermarkets make off your wheaty purchases. The only knock here is the awkward placement of the building. I drove past it twice before I found the turn off.

Great service! I have ordered chococolate covered strawberries twice in the last two months and this store did a fantastic job! The strawberries were decorated very well and were big and fresh. The second time I was looking for a nautical decoration theme that they did not have on the on the menu so they did a custom order. I could not have been more pleased with the results! I'm afraid I just don't see why people love this bakery. Every time I've purchased cupcakes from them, the frosting was nice but the cake was dry and stale. I think they bake large batches, freeze them, and defrost as needed. Their products really suffer from a lack of freshness.

I'd really like to give 2.5 stars rather than 2 but c'est la vie. We ordered a variety of items and they all looked lovely. All of them tasted ok but not super delicious. It was at the end of the day and that may have made a difference because our orders seemed a wee bit stale. Sorry!! The staff was great though and the decor was great.

Beyond disappointed with the cake I special ordered for my parents 50th anniversary party. When I arrived, I had to wait an hour for them to "finish" the cake. The order was not correct - I had to clarify things in the store. When I arrived home, and unwrapped the cake it was beyond lopsided, resembling the leaning tower of piza. And it continued to slide to the side throughout the day. It was certainly the topic of conversation at the party and for all the wrong reasons. When cut, it was dry and tasteless,. I'm not sure if it was frozen and thawed or just stale. Really not worth the $125 I paid. I don't do online reviews, but the given Sugar Mama's lack of response to my call, I figure this is my only recourse.

Dominion, Blackmarsh Road - open at 8:00am & closes at 11:00pm. They have a walk-in clinic, with a pharmacy within the Dominican supermarket, they sell Cannabis at the Smoke Shop and you can order your groceries and someone will pick out your groceries for you and deliver it to your vehicle when you pick it up. This Dominion has a good variety of all kinds!!!
