Cool day but sunny. Snow on the ground and off trails muddy....but great visit. Spent an hour or more looking at a wet fall. Will definately go back. This time we saw some tree sculptures...old but charming. Certainly worth a few visit. A Japanese lady who walks there all the time, took some of her time to show us some parts of the park we didn't know of. Took several pictures. Great

Great spot! We went down when the bridge was flooded and the kids really liked checking it out. The park was relatively dry. There weren't any grates on the fire pits so we couldn't cook the burgers we brought.

I love this park. But you won't. It's full of hippies playing frisbee golf and a stinky river. There is only one bathroom and it's an out house. The fire pits are in disrepair and 90% of them do not have cooking grates. Stay away

Snowshoeing was terrific lots of snow and beautiful scenery. Wish walkers would make their own trails instead of trodding on snowshoe an ski trails!! Those post holes you make ruin our hard work.

Lovely 'Winnipeg' park just past the perimeter. Many traiĺs for walking and skiing. Unfortunately the people walking tend to trample roughshod of the trails groomed for skiing so the only decent space to ski is on the river itself. Clean portapotties available near the parking lot.

Nice activity park close to city- on LaSalle river. Just went January 13th. Caution - only first portion of parking lot is plowed - if you go to the front by open field you make gate stuck in deeper snow.

Groomed paths through trees which are technically on leash area, which no one follows. Many times we have encountered a large dog with no owner in site. We go weekly and this happens at least 4 times each time we go. Large field on the west side is perfect for retrieving.

This place is like 2 blocks away from me. It's nice to have a forest in your neighborhood. It joins up with other walking/biking paths that goes forever. Just nice to walk along to clear your head. This summer I came across people filming a Halmark movie. It was fun to watch them. There is a play ground for kids. In winter there is a long slide for sleds and an outdoor skating rink. There is a building there to warm up in with washrooms. If it is raining in the summer you have shelter. Jan 6 2019 Just an update. There has been sightings of coyote in the park lately. Go with other people and make noise to scare them off or stay away from you. Find out what you should do if you come across a coyote before you leave home.

I have no idea what the hell the problem is, but I think Google maybe would be better sticking to projects they might know about! I use this 4 work & it's just costing me valuable time and money running around in literally circles. If my company was even to do 1 mistake even by accident we wouldn't be in business very long and it wouldn't even cost the consumer a penny and we wouldn't here the end of it either!!!! Oh yeah and Bunn's Creek Park looks like a nice place to go in the summer time. So don't show and tell u the address that I would like to get 2 then direct me somewhere else. I went for almost a 3 hour walk through all the trails in this park that has never seen development hi in all of its lifetime. And it is right in the city and I am dazzled and amazed at how relaxing it was. A special place for sure.

Lovely walk with the dog. Garbages for dog poo throughout. Great signage and colored landmarks for following trails. Currently there is quite a few wet spots and snow still not melted but was able to complete the Aspen trail without my running shoes getting too wet.

Both the website and google maps said it was open. ‘Open seven days a week’ ‘closes at 4’. I was within that time slot, and no one was there. Called the office, called the website. Both had no answers. Shame that there was no staff. Would of been a fun experience, if we had a tour.

We went during the hours they're supposed to be open and the buildings were all locked up & office closed. If the staff are done for the season, it should say so. Both in person and online. If not it should be open early afternoon in a weekday in summer. Beautiful flowers & walking paths though

Great spot and never overcrowded, traffic's minimal on main road adjacent to park. Ducks and geese in the summer and the pond freezes over all winter doubling the play space. Tim Hortons is walking distance. Bench in the shade and garbage available

A decent sized, well taken care of, quiet off leash park with a pond for the dogs to swim in. The park is surrounded by streets that are busy during business hours.

This off leash dog park is located in St. Bonafice industrial park. You can park on Beghin avenue and walk in. The dog park is open field surrounding a retention pond with a few benches. The downside to this dog park is that there is no fence so if your dog does wander there may be better options. In the spring, summer and fall there are a lot of geese that hang out at the park and they leave quite a mess. Traffic around the park is light on the weekends since it is located in an industrial park. I'm only rating it 3 stars for the lack of fence and the amount of geese that hang out here.

Way out of the way for the quality. Basically an open area in an industrial park with a retention pond that is marked as unsafe to drink or swim in. It clearly states keep your pets out of the water. This was a challenge with a Lab.

This is a wonderful place to spend time outdoors or even indoors. Easily traversible trails for hiking or biking. Wildlife to see. Lakes to sit by or to play on. The restaurant has a nice selection of food and it is very tasty and reasonably priced. Cost to spend the day is very reasonable. Staff are easy going, unobtrusive and friendly.

Amazing just how diverse wildlife can be found here. Considering this was a quarry supplying a cement plant, this is a perfect representation of "if you build it, they will come" In this case wildlife. The four quick charge stations (two of which are for Teslas) makes this an ideal stop for a charge. The boardwalks on the ponds are a delightful attraction, where you can see fish, turtles, muskrat and all sorts of water foul. A lovely natural escape close to the city.

By far my favourite tourist spot in Winnipeg. Between the regular everyday paths available to the public and the overnights you can schedule with groups it is truly amazing. We went with our Brownie unit and the girls had so much fun snowshoeing then getting to make s'mores it's all they talked about at our weekly meeting!

As a teacher, I have been here on field trips and personal visits. The staff are incredible and the volunteers are always friendly and informative. I love the slower pace compared to other venues in the city, there us always room to stroll with family, or you can up the pace on skis. My kids love the live animals and toboggan hill, I personally enjoy the lake views in the summer. Will always visit here no matter the season!

Nice nature trail for cycling / jogging / walking along a small river (Seine). You can make a decent 9+ km loop combining this with the South St Vital trail and the trail through the man-made lakes. There are warnings about ticks so be aware.

This is a beautiful hidden gem within the city. Walking the full trail is a wonderful way to get some exercise and fresh air. There is a lot to see inside, from the fun wood carvings to the abundance of deer. It's a lovely and quiet space. We walk there with our dog, and she just loves it. I rating Sturgron Creek Park. I love this park. I walk this park every day. I look for the beaver, I try to see the ducks and if there are any geese. I wish that it was an off leash park but you don't have it all.

A large looped path atop a former garbage dump to walk with your furry friends while enjoying panoramic views of Winnipeg (this place is known as Garbage Hill). Use the parking lot at the top as there is no designated pedestrian path to get to the off-leash part of the park from the street. The park doubles as a sledding hill during the winter!

Another great park in South St Vital for a short hike. Hopefully one day it will connect along the river to Van Hull park and continue through to Norman Park. A good chance you could spot some wildlife unless you bring noisy children like I usually do... lots of Pokemon stops recently added if you do bring the children. Also lots of signage with information on the local plants and animals.

An all season park, St. Vital is perfect for any outing. Cross country skiing, skating on the duck pond, beach volleyball, and soccer. The small but bountiful flower gardens is perfect for a selfie. Curving with the Red River this hidden gem in St.Vital may become your new favourite Winnipeg outdoor destination. A newly renovated warming hut and indoor bathroom makes this accessible to all. The playground also hosts bathrooms housed inside old semitrailers. The only negative is the new toboggan runs. Although architecturally beautiful, the runs are slow and the little natural hill gave us far more laughs.

there are 2 ice slides at the exit gate, and a frozen lake in winter. By the side of red river, there is a BBQ field and a playground for kids. A very nice place for family with kids or/and pets whenever in spring, summer or winter.

Great 4 seasons park. Winter has a wonderful toboggan run that's like a beginner luge course plus a built in warming hut. The duck pond converts to an incredible skating rink with its own glassed in Pavillion with picnic tables and washrooms. Heated in the winter. There is also a maintained fire pit with seating for roasting marshmallows or just enjoying the ambiance.

My favourite park in Winnipeg - 4 seasons of the year. Great for families, young people, children of ages, walk your dog, feed the Canada geese in Spring to Fall, family/school picnics, soccer field, wedding foto’s, cycle, roller blade, boat launch, ice skating/tobogganing/snow shoeing/skiing in the winter, or just sit back to read a book. When your lucky a deer will come out of the bush & see the odd fox. Come enjoy the beauty around you. There are many paths to take year around.

This is our first visit and we absolutely loved this 3km park. It embraces the river, a riparian forest, natural prairie grassland as well as an historical overview. We were sad to see plans to possibly rezone it.

Beautiful park, nice place for an early morning or evening walk. Wildflowers galore. Downside is it's more overgrown than it used to be and there's lots of thistles. We used to come it when the trails weren't as groomed, the park wasn't advertised and there was a tree nursery. It got wonderful light and it had more wildlife because it was quieter.

Best park in RiverPark South it's never too busy with people. If your into nature theirs plenty of critters such as birds, squirrels, deers and sometimes I've spotted owls and raccoons!!

The area is not fenced off, but is away from roads. It's a great little place to train your dog to be off leash. We went in the afternoon on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. Bags are available by garbage bins so that you can clean up after your dog.

Over the last few decades this wonderful place has been slowly transforming into an absolute favorite destination for locals and travelers alike. As a frequent visitor over the last almost thirty years I've been amazed at its transformation. There is always something new to see, or do here. And the choice of food and drink is not lacking. The Forks is just getting better and better, it's a great time to explore this gem.

I love the Forks.. In the summer it's a perfect place for a Sunday stroll along the Red River or just sitting out having a drink watching baskers. Beautiful stores inside the Forks to browse or shop for little trinkets. Nice indoor beer garden to relax with friends over a drink while eating delicious food that can be bought from various eateries. A few minutes walk from the Canadian Museum For Human Rights. Also a few minutes walk from the Children's Museum. In Winter you can go skating on the Red River. Definitely a great place to visit.

The Forks is a great meeting place, but these days that's mostly because everyone knows where it is and there are places to get food and drink nearby. The same can be said for Polo Park, but the Forks has great views in the summer and skating in the winter. The nearby shops are also pretty cool. It's worth a visit, but once you've been there a few times, the novelty can wear off pretty fast.

The place to visit in downtown Winnipeg, this location beautifully located along the two rivers that meet in the area offers a little bit of everything. There is history, scenery, art, recreation, shopping, food, museums, and other points of interest. The entire area is quiet accessible and is very walkable. Great views of the river and the downtown skyline. Good food offerings. Close walk to the bridge across the river for more sightseeing.
