Slow, won't respond, no explanations ever given. Glad I only used them for a house title transfer. Don't ask questions because you won't like there incoherent answers that don't make sense. When issues pop up they will always blame the other lawyers. No worries someone will have possession of your old house for a month or more and you still won't know what's going on.

Checked online and Taylor MacCaffey emailed me back recommending a certain lawyer whom was fine to deal with but never mentioned any type of fee that was associated with the visit. Like the rest of us, I assumed there was a 15/30 min grace period. There isn't! Was there for approximately 35 mins stating my small claim issue and then they sent me a bill for $300+ stating I was there for over an hour. i understand lawyers charge but they should have notified me of legal fees before proceeding especially for that $ value. I didnt return. Be aware!

One of the worst experience I have ever had. The firm was requested to help with refinancing of my property. It took them 5 months from start to finish the refinancing. The property was mine, and there was one mortgage, a very basic and routine process. They were poor communicators and not respectful of timelines. Due to the extream slowness, I paid higher interest on a mortgage that I wanted to be changed to a lower interest. I paid fees to process documents twice because they sat too long. When they finally got the documents in the order, they withdrew all my available funds in my HELOC and mailed me this amount. Why they did this, I don’t know, but I needed to deposit this check into my new HELOC ( I have never heard of this being done ). I had to pay the interest on this to withdraw of funds. Having refinanced my property several times I know how smooth it can be, this was by far the worst I have experienced. **** Stay far away from them.

I would never ever recommend this law office to anybody. Not even my worst enemy. Sam wilder took advantage of a senior citizen that was pretty much homeless. With their beautiful offices high up in Lombard place I find it absolutely disgusting that he would take advantage of a senior.

Got the impression that they are out for money without much real interest in helping people or providing good service. Very disappointed. :(

This particular Law Firm fails to relate to requirements their clients at the issue at hand, does not follow instructions of the client, and produces legal documents tht are unclear in their intention. In a two year period with two lawyers handling my case at different periods billed me over $1,100.00 dollars that resulted in a document that could not be filed in Queen's Bench. This law firm does not preform in the best interest in their clients or provide acceptable work practices but, is more concerned with billing the client for unreasonale services. I engaged the firm for a case that just concluded in Winnipeg, Canada on Thursday 22nd March 2018. Right from the very first day I stepped my foot in their office, I noticed the wonderful manner in which I was treated. My case was handled very professionally and I am quite impressed. The firm can be relied upon to execute what ever case is brought to them very painstakingly and professionally. Michael Kay- my experience. 2 months to do a simple private one year mortgage, only $320k, everyone else takes 2 weeks. Then the trust company told me at 5 weeks in Michael Kay never sent appraisal to them. I had to do Michael Kay's job for him and send it in. Then after that and another 3 weeks later they finished and charged me $5800! Yes $5800 for a simple one year mortgage, the going rate is $1600 across Canada for this. Even the trust company managing the mortgage told me they had never heard of such a rate, ever. And they do hundreds of these mortgages. I took it to the law society, they felt arbitration was reasonable, but Mr Kay cowardly refused arbitration and now this is going to court. Mr Kay fearing loosing a lawsuit brought by me then threatened my home and business and this can be verified with the Law Society on Michael Kay's professional complaints history. Michael Kay was the lawyer from Pitblado. So I waited 4X longer and paid 4X as much for incompetent service. Michael Kay is actually a partner at Pitblado.

Do not use this firm. I employed their services to draft a separation agreement for myself and my ex wife. There were no child custody issues and no division of property issues, as my ex and I are very civil with each other. My lawyer, Erin E., utilized exorbitant amounts of back-and-forth correspondence with opposing counsel to rapidly boost the billable hours on my file. Additionally, I was forced to re-write a document personally as the original drafted by Erin E.'s legal assistant did not convey my intentions. This occurred despite my meeting with Erin E. just days prior. In the end, 2 years later, the total cost of my separation agreement was $7,921.48. I requested the cost be reviewed by arbitration through the Law Society of Manitoba, and not surprisingly, Erin E. declined arbitration. I am currently seeking for the cost to be examined in the Court of Queen's Bench, however, since it has now been over a year since my final statement of account, I may not be able to proceed. I submit this review in hopes of preventing others from being exploited. Save yourself a headache. Go elsewhere.
