Great customer service (sales/scheduling department)and professional installation crew. I especially like the fact, that the windows are made locally. I had Van Isle windows remove and install two large picture windows and was very impressed with the result. I dealt with Eric (sales) and he provided an accurate timeline for completion of the job. I was very impressed with the installation crew, they were very courteous and a pleasure to deal with. I had one minor glitch that was quickly rectified by Eric. I would highly recommend using Van Isle windows.

Excellent product from a local supplier; staff are friendly and there is a defined commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Ordered my own windows and staff came out three times as I had so many questions regarding fit. I have installed rebate windows in stucco building for years but today's building codes are ridiculously burdensome and modern vinyl windows are complex to install correctly. I have observed their instillation teams and they are on par with all the best providers in town. I loved the low pressure sales. Some local window companies that provide install services for their product can be relentless soliciting business. Not Van Isle Windows Ltd.

I really appreciated the quick turn around, and the fact that Arnel was able to tarp our leaking skylight until it could be replaced. Peace of mind before the installation, and after! I chose Van Isle first because I know two people who had amazing service in the past - and I discovered a third person while we were going through the process. If you are picking up your windows instead of having them shipped be sure to perform a very close inspection of them to ensure there is no factory damage. Do not allow over zealous shipping staff to load them quickly into your vehicle before you have ample opportunity to closely inspect them. Once loaded in your vehicle and you sign off you are 100% responsible for any defects found afterwards. Follow-up Action: I contacted the sales rep (Nathan Wells) from whom I ordered the windows and explained my dissatisfaction with how this problem was being initially addressed by VI Windows. He had the window repainted with no cost to me. Nate displayed exemplary customer service and after sales support and I would highly recommend dealing with Nate.

GET IT IN WRITING! - '4 to 5 weeks' should have been an alarm bell for me but I didn't hear it. 5 weeks would have worked for our reno project but 7 does not and it will cost us thousands in lost rental revenue for another month. Don;t let sales tell you what you want to hear

This company is really special. I am so fortunate to have found them. When you live in Victoria and have small residential projects you need help with it is almost impossible to get anyone to help, even if you are ready to pay them. I had a small job that needed some finesse and skill. I wanted to enclose a tiny porch with windows (as well as replace very old existing windows that were rotten and falling out). The angles for the porch were not square and it required creativity to integrate it with the rest of the house. All the big companies were happy to just replace my windows with standard ones but they wouldn’t touch the porch. They offered ugly options that would have totally cut out my sight lines and ruined the look of my home. They quoted such a high price for the porch and made it sound so hard that I knew they didn’t want to do it. I chose Pacific View because they were prepared to think outside the box and take the time to do the non-standard pieces that mattered so much to me. For that reason, they got my whole order (including replacing all the other windows). Living in Victoria I am so used to people not showing up, not doing what they say, not being qualified, not completing work, not cleaning up and leaving me so much depressing work to do to fix the mistakes. Pacific View Windows and Doors just kept wowing me from start to finish (I literally kept saying “wow” every time I saw what they were doing—not a word I am used to using). They came and quoted for the job when they said they would. They did the design for the structure round the porch windows and sent it to me. They found windows that matched my old ones as I had asked. I could not afford the really top end door so they found me one that looked absolutely lovely that was in my budget. They came back to review the porch project again and confirm measurements. They gave me advice on how to keep costs down and where to spend the money within my budget. They estimated when the items would be in and when they could likely start (they were in exactly then) and then they actually offered to start earlier (which I gratefully accepted). Everyone came. It was done in two days. There was no mess, no damage. All the workers were a delight to have in my home. Blair’s ultimate design and construction finishes were perfectly in-keeping with the look of my home and the result was gorgeous. The neighbours love the result too and say they think my house looks so much newer. Oh yes and the windows are fantastic. I can now sit down and watch the TV without the curtains blowing around and a howling gale down my neck and the whole house was warm and toasty just in time for the snow. I know this should be the experience with home improvement and when you are spending money you have saved hard for something but I am so used to being miserable when I try to do anything in my home that I almost didn’t start this project. These guys restored my faith in humanity as well as in home improvements being a happy experience. A big thank you. I only wish they did other things too!

The people at Pacific View Windows and Doors, from our initial visit to installation, were efficient, professional, friendly, and above all, knowledgeable and helpful. In their showroom we were invited to inspect and try the various doors and door hardware available, and when we had decided upon the details of our customized French doors, we were given a printout, complete with scaled drawing, while we waited. From there, the initial visit for measurements and an assessment of potential difficulties, to ordering, to installation, was a smooth process. We have no complaints, and would recommend Pacific View to anyone looking for stylish and well-constructed windows and/or doors.

They installed a new windshield for me at very short notice which I appreciated. Great price too. They weren't able to tell me ahead of time which brand of windshield would be installed which I thought was a bit odd and I was somewhat disappointed it ended up being a Chinese brand. The trim around the window doesn't fit as tightly as it did before the installation so now pine needles get caught more easily. I would guess this is pretty typical with reused trim.

I have been doing business with them for over six years now. They have replaced a windshield in our fleet vehicle and glued on countless windshield mirror mount tabs for our customers. Very fast, friendly and reasonably priced service. I have only had to wait once for a tech to come back to the shop for them to help me. Otherwise it is "bring it right over" kind of service. A true mom and pop shop. A lot of very neat stained glass stuff in there too if you are into that. Highly recommended!

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I'm just not that impressed. I called on a Thursday looking for a piece of specialty glass. Yes, I was told, we may have that. I went to the store and yes, they did indeed, have what I needed. $50.00 for 20" x 16". WOW !! I slept on it and the next morning went back. Sorry, no one here to cut it. We will call you. Waited all day. Called back at 3:00. Sorry, no one here to cut it. Maybe Monday. No one called Monday. No one called Tuesday. I called Wednesday morning. Oh, someone can cut it this morning, but come this afternoon, as it will take an hour. Went and picked it up, paid the 50 bucks and went home. It was NOT square. It was close, but not quite. Nothing an hour of sanding would not fix. So, if you don't mind a lack of customer service and you have buckets of cash, yes, they may have what you need.

I've been twice to this shop. Once to get a piece of beveled glass cut and the second time for a cracked mirror in the frame. I highly recommend Glass-Smith & Co. Everything about our experience with Centra Windows was top notch. Our experience has been amazing from start to finish. Jonathan helped us pick our windows and gave us a complete break down of all the sizes and rough opening sizes for our project. He was very friendly and helpful, and walked us through everything, even making sure that the sizes would work for our space (we had to connect with the framers to make sure). Then we spoke to Carl to set up an installation date. Our plans were delayed due to weather, and we were able to connect with the installers and make another date that wasn't too far off in the future. We really appreciated that they were able to work with us on this. On installation day, the installers came early, set up quickly and got right to work. One of our windows was framed wrong, and they told us right away, so we were able to fix it day of, and the installation still went really smoothly and finished on time. The installers left the site very clean. My only complaint was that they didn't do the house wrap at the bottom of the windows, which meant it was a bit more work for us to do later. At the walk through, Chris showed me how each window opens and closes, how the screens and the pieces come out for cleaning, and we inspected each one. I felt confident that the job was well done and I feel confident that these windows are excellent quality products. It was also great to hear from Chris about where the windows are made and what, scientifically, makes them stronger so they last longer. Overall, the process was great. We felt informed and connected throughout, and we knew the plan - we never felt like we didn't know what was happening. It's great peace of mind to be able to work with real, positive, friendly people throughout. We felt like we could depend on them, and even now, we are assured that these are great windows that work really well and will last through the years. Thank you so much, Jonathan, Chris, Jeremy, and Derek for a great experience!

Extremely happy with the quality of work and service provided. I did a fair amount of research and received quotes from multiple installation companies before choosing Enerheat. I knew that most installers in Victoria use the same manufacturer, so the quality of windows will mostly be the same. The only differences would be in service, installation quality and price. I figured that most installers have many years of experience, so they should be comparable in installation quality. So I chose based on customer care, and whom I trusted best to be responsible, in the worst case scenario. Justin from Enerheat (main point of Contact, and I believe part owner) was very responsive to my questions and needs, providing great customer relations. Even after the installation, if I have questions about the windows, he is always quick to respond. Also, their prices are more reasonable than some of the other companies without compromising quality. I highly recommend Enerheat over any other window installer in town.

Locally made windows which are highly rated, considerably less expensive than other estimates (30 % less!), installer is very experienced, hardworking, tidy, and minimized extra costs not usually covered. The owner then came, inspected and arranged for minor tweaking to ensure the window performs as desired. Why go anywhere else.

Estimate was substantially less than Centra and Van Isle and install time was half the time quoted by the other companies 2 days compared to 1 week.Phil the sales representative was straight forward and informative.Dan and his crew were pleasant and respective, fast and clean and took away all the old glass,screens and garbage. We had 33 windows replaced and a patio door. They were in and out within 2 days with the exception of one window being cracked which was replaced the following week and took about 30 mins. The house has been staying much cooler through the heat this past couple of weeks and is much more sound proof. I would recommend Retro Teck

I called A & D to ask if they could put a mirror into a large ornate frame I'd been given years ago (opening is 18" x 24"). They said not a problem and to bring the frame in. I picked up the finished piece a few days later, and it looked even better than I thought it would, and they also attached new hangers and wire at the back to make it sturdier. The price was also much less than I thought it might be for the size of the mirror, I'm really happy with their service and the mirror is perfect in my home.

I spent 2 hours trying to make my patio door to lock. I had purchased a new lock but that didn't help. I hired a lock specialist and they battled with it for 3-4 hours and couldn't get it to work. I called A&D and they sent out a fellow the next morning.Loved his spirit from the moment we met. Within 30 minutes he solved the problem. He also showed me how to make the patio door to close easily.

I ordered some mirrors for my store in early May from this place. After I placed my order, they told me it would be about 1 week. After 2 weeks, I still heard nothing from them. I thought, "Okay, I will just call and ask for an update." I run a business and know that delays happen. When I called, they had no idea what I was talking about. My order had disappeared. Okay fine. It happens. They said they will call me back when they have the order straightened out. Another two weeks later, still nothing. I tried emailing them multiple times and calling. When I finally got hold of them, there was ZERO progress! My order still wasn't placed and they had no idea what was going on. I finally called and decided to cancel my order. They person on the phone said that he would call me back when they learned anything more or to confirm. Guess what? They never called back. I am worried that my order will magically go through one day and I will be charged. So I have sent an email to confirm that my order is cancelled, but of course there was no confirmation reply. At least I have a record in my emails of the lack of communication and my order cancellation. They have been terrible for communicating with me and can't seem to handle a simple order. Needless to say, I decided to give up and will purchase my mirrors from somewhere else. If I could, I'd give them negative 5 stars!

No other company would help us in this way. They hear supply-only and leave you to fend for yourself, but Neil has been fantastic and he is very knowledgeable.

They are honest about pricing and timing for delivery, every single person on their team is a joy to have around, they clean up after themselves daily, they honour their work, and they do an excellent job. If you visit their location in-person, this group is kind and helpful. They also have great prices and suggestions. I had to buy a replacement crisper shelf, so I ordered a new one. When I brought the shelf home, the size was a bit wrong, so I ordered a new one. The problem for me is that these guys don't answer their phone. I work until 4pm on weekdays, and they close at 4:30, and I don't have a car. A common game of phone tag began: they'd call me with a question when I'm at work so they'd leave a message. At 4, I'd call them back, and no one would answer, so I'd leave a message. A week later, I'd realize they weren't going to call me, so I'd call them two to three times in a row before someone picked up. The shelf only took a few days to be cut, but all this running around has made the process become two months. And I don't think they have voicemail. Over the past two months that I've been trying to get a new shelf, I have left eight messages. Zero have been returned. When I had a rare day off, and I really needed to ask them a question, I called 12 times over the course of an hour, between 8:30 and 9:30 am on a Friday -hardly a time to be too busy to answer. I tried all the different extensions, because I just needed to reach someone, and I had other things to do. Finally, on the ninth dial, someone answered. I gave him my message, and he said that he wasn't in charge of my shelf, but he'd leave a message for the person who was, and that person would call me back "after 11". But nobody ever called me back. Also, their shop doesn't have a sign, so you better know where you're going. I gave up the first time after walking around the entire block. If they can afford a website, I think they can afford to write their name in Sharpie on a piece of printer paper and tape it to the window. I'm not someone who has a lot of spare time, so I don't like it when it's wasted over something so easily fixed. If you have a car, and more time during the day, then you won't have a problem with Victoria Glass. But if you have to take the bus and have a similar work schedule as mine, save yourself the stress.

I needed to get three screens for my condo and after calling around Rusco had the best deal I could find. The quote was easy and efficient. They came out for measurements, custom made the screens, came back to install. All very easy. Had an issue with one of the screens not fitting well and the installer asked if he could take new measurements and bring me a proper fitting screen next week! Was blown away by the customer service and can't recommend Rusco enough. I have dealt with three different employees and they have all been pleasant and costumer service orientated. Was so satisfied with their services that I am having a screen door installed by them as well.

Absolutely terrible! Scammed! Showed our family all the nice stuff in the showroom then asked for a quote. Got the quote which was over $20,000 but decided to splurge for all the features they showed us on the skylights, auto opening, blinds and App controlled etc. The salesman’s pitch was you’ll never open the skylights if they aren’t automatic and you have to crank them.... After delays the new windows showed up and they installed the ones with none of the features they showed us. They were hand crank windows, no app control but it did have auto blinds but they were see through privacy transparency blinds. Talked with the manager and they did absolutely nothing. Who the hell wants transparent privacy blinds for skylights??? Are they so planes can’t see in? Moral of the story is they show you all the nice stuff then charge you very high but sneak all the basic stuff in the model numbers of the quote and add see through skylight blinds just to kick you when you are down. Be warned!!!

if I could give a lower review I would..took a month to get a slider. Couldnt get a quote for insurance..finally after contacting LMD offices they manage to get it moving..Then I get an invoice from Chiiliwack for an unpaid balance of $706!! Why? Beacause they ordered the slider under the contractors name not mine..i wonder if contractors get a better price...(because I paid non contractor price)..AFTER I paid upfront and waited 2 weeks (wrong size slider was ordered..had to wait again THINK TWICE in using this company if you are in Victoria..Chilliwack was great to deal with..these guys..once windows are in the are impossible to deal with..good luck getting a manager to fix the issue.."he's not in..we cant give you his number".
