I have been seeing Dr. Elder for over a year now. I had terrible back pain, and lumps on my lower back. After a series of treatments, the pain and lumps are gone. I have chronic neck pain as well, and regular adjustments keep that in check. Dr. Elder's adjustments are less aggressive then some chiropractors I have been to, but still get the job done. They do reminders and follow ups which is helpful. The hours are great for early morning appointments and street parking isn't usually an issue.

Hey. I am seeing Dr. Kittleson at UC Life. I have had pretty bad post concussion syndrome for 2 years now. With as little as 2 treatments I am already noticing a reduction in light sensitivity and sound sensitivity. Also it no longer feels like I am looking at the world crooked. My eyes seem to focus better and I can see a crisp outline around objects- it hasn't been this way in a long time. I had neck tightness on one side that felt like rocks piled up, after the first treatment this long term nagging tightness eased off, and the muscles feel more natural. My postural assessment before treatment revealed I was quite "off"- these inequalities in alignment also corrected themselves after the first treatment. It is nothing short of miraculous. I am looking forward to following through this course of treatment to the end to get all the benefits. I am deeply thankful for Dr. Kittleson. He really seems to care and know his stuff. Fix canceled my partner's appointment because they "don't do WorkSafe injuries", despite being listed as a registered physio practitioner on the WorkSafe website. The appointment was booked well in advance and they canceled hours before it was set to begin, meaning she lost over a week of treatment for no apparent reason. At first, I was skeptical of chiropractors. In my teens, I had a bad experience with one that I had to see every week in order to resolve a back issue. I never wanted to resolve issues that way again. That was until my personal trainer kept on me about a neck issue I had. He suggested I see Simon at Fix. I kept nodding, but waving the suggestion off until I grew tired of constant neck pain and booked a session with Simon. After one session, in fact, during the session, Simon was able to completely resolve the issue! I walked out of there feeling completely in alignment and the neck pain that had plagued me for so long had disappeared. It was almost unbelievable. The second time was about a year later, after wear and tear from hiking and hound walking and the gym. Again, a few months of pain was completely released during this session. The third session was today. Months of stress compounded on a shoulder issue and, you guessed it, gone during the session. Simon is a wizard and the people and environment and Fix are awesome. I highly recommend them. If you're experiencing any kind of discomfort or injury or just want to keep yourself functioning at an optimal level, do yourself a favour and get down there today. PS - Simon doesn't like to make a point about it, but he travels with the National Track and Field team and keeps them in alignment. He works with many professional athletes and comes highly recommended. The guy knows his stuff!

I just got my second x-ray back and I've actually REVERSED the scoliosis in my back! This therapy works, no pills, no surgery!

I’ve had lower back pain for many years on and off. I’ve mostly attributed it to childbearing, running, soccer, and general life activities. Massage and chiropractic treatments helped a lot to relieve it. My neck was frequently sore (way too much studying and research!) and over the last couple of years, I’ve been getting a lot of headaches, which I hadn’t really experienced much before. So when my partner suggested I get a free consultation and x-rays from Backfit to see what was going on with my spine, I agreed. Couldn’t hurt to get more information, right? And I kind of realized that it had been about two years since I’d last had a chiropractic treatment (the chiropractor we went to had an accident that has stopped her from working), and that maybe the pain I was experiencing wasn’t just ageing! Needless to say, there was and is a fix for it! After a few months of regular decompression therapy, alignments, and homecare (not as regular as I intended...), I am thrilled to say that I am no longer getting headaches and my overall back health has improved dramatically! Persistence and consistency have been key to the improvements I’m experiencing along with support and encouragement from the excellent team at BackFit! Not only have they been treating the symptoms, they go for curing and reversing damage done over time. Take home lesson - YOU don’t have to put up with pain and discomfort. He took time to help me when i needed it the most; when i thought there is no hope to walk any time soon (the pain was so severe even taking T3). Dr. Doyle explained and showed what exactly i should do to help eliminate the pain). Dr. Doyle and his team (from the administrator to technicians) took great care of me while I was at the clinic. When i could not walk i was helped to get on the decomp table and off it. For people with severe back pain i would recommend to listen to the doctors and do wobble and foams at home. I stocked up on everything I could from the foams to the portable wobble chair to have the best care for my spine when i am away from clinic. I would love to say HUGE THANK YOU to Dr. Doyle and each of his amazing team for helping me to go through that nightmare. There is a way out I know that for sure, just has to work on it every single day. That is the secret - Dr. Doyle will do his part of what he does best ( gives you program and treatment) but I also have to work on it at home. It is two way street and my road has just began. I'm very happy with the treatment that I'm receiving at Backfit. The people are so helpful and make you feel comfortable and welcome. For me, the best part has been the overall holistic approach to my neck and back issues vs the "instant fix" approach that I've seen at so many other chiropractic clinics. The education and home care pieces are just as important as the adjustments and decompression treatments. I find that I have an overall awareness of posture and other habits and am consciously correcting through the day.
