So I normally LOVE zabb however after tonight I feel so bad for the workers. We ordered delivery from the Rutland location. They forgot one of the meals in the order so I call them and they said they didn’t charge me for it. Fair enough. They asked if I still want it. Well yes there are people here without food. So then I ask them if they are going to charge me the delivery fee again and the manager said “no I’ll just take it out of the servers tips” ... excuse me? The servers tips? That just seems so wrong to me. I told him that as well. It makes me wonder how many other situations come out of the hard working ( probably minimum wage earning ) servers pockets. Not cool

Great food. Cashew chicken is one of the best in this town. Spring rolls are great too. Will have to try other dishes. Wish it was bigger though as too cramped and very busy and noisy when take outs come by the droves. LOL but good food and service. The owners super attentive!!

12 April, 2019. It was a family birthday, have been there many times, but for some reason this evening was a comedy of errors. Had to ask for drinks after sitting for a while. When the food came only 2 dishes came. 2 were missing. After 30 mins had to ask were the other 2 dishes coming. Then they only brought one of them. Had to also ask where one of the drinks was. It was missed. When the bill came one dish was still missing so we ended up having that to go. Just terrible service all round and not one time did anyone come and ask how our food was. The food as always was tasty! I don’t think we will be in a rush to go back - real pity as in previous times service and food has always been top notch :(

Kitti, the restaurant owner, runs a friendly restaurant, knowledgeable staff, clean, modern, and comfortable setting. The food selection is fabulous and choices can be altered as you wish. Vegan/vegetarian no problem. Ask about the appetizers made fresh. A wonderful ambiance for my partner and guests. See you again Kitti!

This was my first experience with Thai food and I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was great, and very convenient being right on the main street. The food was hot and enjoyable, and they even threw in a free dessert for us! Such a great gesture, and the staff were all very friendly. I will definitely come back next time I feel like Thai!

Very friendly staff and the food was very good. Perhaps not the best Thai I've had but very enjoyable. Walking in, we smelled what could be described as a faint wet laundry left too long without having dried (manager, perhaps that note) but the smell quickly disappeared.

We ordered an appetizer and three different mains to share. All were decent sized and came out quickly. Service was very friendly and helpful. Best dinner we’ve had in downtown Kelowna in a long time! Very tasty curry dishes. Decent price. Clean and nice venue. Very, very attentive and friendly staff. My favorite Thai place in The Okanagan. Suggestions: increase the serving sizes and create a menu with pictures. Live the place.

We placed an order for delivery over the phone, gave our payment info, and awaited delivery. 20 minutes later, a man called us back saying our payment method didn’t go through. It was visa debit. We then provided a secondary form of payment to which we were told it wouldn’t process. The man argued about having made all the food and not having payment. We were in a hotel, with sleeping children, unable to leave to get cash from an ATM in order to pay cash upon delivery. We apologized, and said we have to cancel the order and place one elsewhere, if our payment wasn’t accepted. The man still argued with my husband! We said please cancel, we attempted to make payment with all available means possible, had even suggested to attempt to process the customer’s payment before preparing their order in the future. We then placed an order from a different restaurant. Bah Tong Thai arrived with the original order, and a debit machine, HAVING NEVER MENTIONED THE ABILITY TO DO SO PRIOR! We thought it was the order we’d placed after the bah tong Thai order was canceled, so we paid and took the food. We are VERY upset they delivered an order they said was unable to be paid for which caused us to cancel it, was still delivered AFTER cancellation. We obviously had to pay for the secondary order we placed. Having to pay for two meals when we should only have had to pay for ONE, is ridiculous. Also, we’d asked if the dishes came with rice. We were told no, so we placed an order for a dish of rice. Come to find out, rice did come with the dishes, so we received 3 orders of rice. Unreal, the entire experience from start to finish. Get your things together Bai Tong Thai! Your business practices are unethical!

Overall good food but I like Bai Tong Thai for the excellent service. The owner made my group feel very welcome and he gave us suggestions as to what meats pair well with the various curries. Most dishes can be made vegan and vegetarian to suit dietary preferences so there's some selection for everyone! Be sure to check out this restaurant if you are a student!

Service and food was amazing! A group us from the local university went in for dinner a few weeks ago. The owner was very kind and accommodating. We got seats pretty quickly and the owner helped us order the best (and least expensive) way for our group. He also made sure to note any allergies or dietary restrictions. Our food was made pretty quickly, very fresh, warm and delicious, and the service was great throughout the dinner. I highly recommend Bai Tong Thai, best service and great food!

I have actually moved out of Kelowna and into the USA. I will tell you I sure do miss this restaurant! It may be a smaller restaurant, but the food is top notch and the staff are wonderful. I have eaten in the restaurant as well as To-Go and Delivery. I have never been disappointed! If you love Thai food you must try Zabb! Even if you've never had Thai it's a really great place to start. I know from experience when you go to some ethnic restaurants and you're not really sure what the dishes are, as they're in it's original language and you're unsure whether to ask, and you depend on the photos! There menu explains the components in the dish, and the staff are more than happy to answer any questions. Try Zabb, you won't be disappointed!!

Food was very delicious. We really enjoyed it. The meal for 3 was something I'd order again. And it was enough even tho it looked like it was small. We only got 1 bowl of rice tho. Not sure why we didn't get 2, like it said on the menu. Staff was friendly but we had to ask for everything. We were 4 ppl. 2 came and got seated. Then the other 2 came but the staff didn't offer any cutlery so we grabbed some from the other table where no one was sitting on.

It was okay, I had take out pad Thai and my partner had the hot and spicy soup. Also had the spring rolls. It was pretty good, the pad Thai looked a bit orange/red. Not sure why. But over all I enjoyed it, minus the fact they forgot my pops I ordered. Bonus is free delivery within 10km but I dd My get a receipt so I’m not sure if they actually honoured that. Probably won’t order from there again. Delivery was quick and they called when they were outside.

I used to love this place because it gave good portions for the price you pay. I was a little disappointed when I ate there recently and found that they gave me less food (for the same price) and spread it around the plate to make it look like there was more food. In addition, the dish I had included bean sprouts which they had replaced with shredded white cabbage. The flavour was still great though!

I’m happy to say that I’m a regular at Pick Thai, and have enjoyed every visit! The food has been amazing every time, and I’ve eaten there a lot! I’m vegan, and Pick Thai is great about accommodating me and converting every dish I want to try into a delicious, vegan-friendly version. My favorite dish is the Pad See Ew, but honestly I recommend the entire menu (even the dishes I haven’t tried yet--everything I’ve eaten here has been excellent). The service is terrific as well--the family who runs it is so friendly! And prices are very reasonable, which is useful for me considering how often I visit. : ) I highly recommend Pick Thai!

The food was excellent, but they need to get professional and appropriate servers. The very young girl had her hair all over the place, and 5 chicken satay skewers actually means 4, and the young girl basically said, "Too bad, that's the way it is.." Not professional whatsoever, get new servers. Maybe then I will come back.

Oh very interesting review to share.. so last night me and my friends went for dinner. We got in at 8pm and the server told us that the kitchen closes at 830pm. So we said no problem we will order right away..so the food came at 825 and we started eating. Right at 830 the server came with the mop and water to clean the restaurant. We just started eating and she started mopping right in front of us.. we said excuse me we are still here and just got the food.. she said my owner told me to do so. We asked to talk to the owner, lady came out and she said YES I told her to mop right now as I cant let her wait for you guys to finish the food as I have to pay extra to the server to wait and I do have that extra money.. we were in shocked and we were like this is soo wrong!!! Okay anyway that's done, we started eating fast and then after 10Min the server came and said we need to pay NOW as cash register need to close soon!!!! Like awful customer service.. so recommendation is dont go after 7pm as they need to close right at 825pm.

This place rocks the fast food world! My new favorite, cost effective, fast and fresh. I like mild heat, but flavorful vegetarian options. Portions are generous and average $10. Staff are always friendly and personable. Kitchen is generally rocking so expect to wait 5-10 while it's being made before your eyes. I take-out...there is seating but very cold, quick cafe type setting. Would work for lunch.I based this review on quality of food experience solely.

We frequently order the basic Thai dishes and they are always excellent (if not a bit spicier than expected). They are comparable to a lot of the other Thai places I am accustomed to. Unfortunately, because of Freshbox we have stopped going to the local Thai restaurant. NOTE: Not to be confused with another "box" named restaurant (clue, begins with "W").

It’s okay. I got laksa and my partner got Thai coconut soup... they both lacked flavour and the laksa was overwhelmingly spicy despite ordering the spicy level 2 on skip the dishes. The prices are cheap but too expensive for what you get. It wasn’t awful but not great either. I’d say mediocre at best.

Came here several times for quick bites and take away. Very quick and efficient service. Food was ready in a matter of minutes. The menu is not extensive, they only offer a several number of options. Our favorites have to be Thai Coconut soup, Pad thai, Mongolian beef. The price point is very reasonable with its portion. So it is suitable for students and workers who just want to grab quick bites or takeaways.

Awesome vegan food! So many options. The meal for two is a good deal. The sweet and sour veggie meat kind of tastes like strawberry rhubarb pie! The veggie steak is awesome too, crispy and the sauce is great. They don’t have a sign up right now but they are open.

Having visited Lake Tai many, many times over the years, and introduced dozens of friends to it, the restaurant never fails to impress, and elicit a desire to return every time I'm in town. If you're ever nervous about what to order, the Honey Crispy Bean and the Curry Stew never fail to impress, and the blueberry tea is fantastic. Give this place a try, and you're likely to be impressed.

Sorry to say guys. I generally don't give bad review until it is very disappointing. Completely Disappointed with food and service. If any person is specific about their food (like vegetarian, or any allergies), this is not the place to go. Ordered vegetarian with no egg, the food had egg in it, and I have realized after eating few bites of food. Interesting thing. They handed 10% discount coupons for next time meal, for today's service and food. Most of my friends thrown the coupons in garbage. But no next time guys.

There's a lot of competition in the Thai food space these days, but as one of the longest running Thai restaurants in Kelowna, Mon Thong still holds up. The Dickson Ave location is great for a quick tasty lunch - very fast service.

I ordered the #28 with Tofu. There was no tofu, and the rice was stale, sticky and chewy (there was actually a TBSP size ball that was so hard that I didn't eat it.) 5 out of the 8 people I sat down with had already finished their meals by the time mine was brought out. I suspect that they gave me the stale rice because they didn't have time to make more considering how ridiculously late my meal already was. Someone (not our server) also brought out a different meal and tried to give it to me, but I noticed there was chicken in it (I'm vegetarian) so I refused it. Absolutely a waste of money, the owner should be embarrassed.

Tried twice... tasteless, expensive. They made a mistake on the meat i ordered and instead of change it they brought the right meat on another plate and charged me extra! What an awesome selection of choices at Thai Terrace. They cater well to vegans which is a big factor for me. When you don't eat meat it's not always fun to replace every meat option with tofu, so I like that they also have an option for extra veggies. The service and atmosphere is really nice in Thai Terrace. If you have a party with multiple diets this is a great choice. It's very close to a 5 star rating but as good as the food and experience is I think it could get a little better and it's on the way.

I have ate at Thai Terrace on several occasions and they never disappoint. I have never had a bad dish, the staff is very polite and the food comes in a timely manner. Everything is fresh, high quality ingredients that are put together perfectly to create amazing flavors. I think if you are someone visiting Kelowna this is a must stop. It shows this city's diverse culture and shows how talented the locals are. It's an easy 5/5. You can take those moneybags to the bank!

FOUND PLASTIC IN OUR MEAL!?!? Had lunch there today, I had the Panang Soup which was amazing and delicious. My wife had the Pad Thai and unfortunately found a small but noticeable piece of white plastic in the meal. I requested the Pad Thai to be of no charge as it was barely half consumed when she found the foreign object. The cooks challenged the request and offered 20% off the Pad Thai only, I tried to convey the seriousness of a customer finding foreign objects in their food and that it is a legitimate complaint but it seemed to not register with the cooks. I gracefully paid for the meal, but I wish they would have taken the incident more seriously and been more proactive in correcting the situation. Can't say we'll be back.

It's a little take-out restaurant inside a small plaza/mall... but even though it didn't look like a cozy restaurant at first, our group of four was very impressed by how comfortable it was, and the service was wonderful! Unfortunately we all ordered the pad thai that had no flavor due to lack of ingredients and seasonings. Misled by the reviews. It was basically rice noodles and 1/4 cup bean sprouts and watery sauce. One of us returned the order and declined anything else. Too risky to return for more.

Delicious Tom Kah Gai! Tasted super fresh and the basil and lemongrass flavours were perfect. Great service. We brought our 2 year old and 8 month old, and the owner was so kind and thoughtful. She even gave our 2 year old a Christmas decoration to take home with her. Definitely family friendly. Will be back for sure. Takeout seems to be a great option, as well, if you don’t have time or want to eat in.

Really good food and friendly service. Wait staff seems inexperienced. Wasn't offered a drink until we ordered, waited a while to get our menus, and weren't given utensils. Our waiter was very nice though. Pretty minor stuff. Food was worth going. Real ginger in the ginger beef. Probably the best I've had.

Stopped in for lunch and place was pretty busy. Ordered the Spicy Lemon Grass Pho and Yellow Curry. Both were very good. Service was also friendly and attentive. Only downside is the parking. It was difficult to get a parking spot as a very small amount of spaces are allotted to the restaurants and other stores.

The Basil Leaf provides a cross-section of Asian Foods and is one of the few places in town that makes good Ginger Beef. We've been a few times now and have brought family and friends. Everyone is loved the different options for food.

When we went, one of us asked for ginger rice. The server came back to confirm if they wanted ginger or coconut rice. We said Ginger. Food came back with coconut rice, as well as they forgot about the starter sesame chicken we had ordered. They said they'd bring us what was missed, but in think they put that order in the back of the last list, because is took over 10 minutes to come out. I would have liked to at least seen the $2.00 extra charge for the ginger rice taken off. Very dissapointed with the level of customer service today. The food was amazing as always.

Very tasty food with good portions. I've only been once, but the red curry was really good and was enough to fill my big stomach. The decor was also very nice and modern. There's another location on Kane road which presumably will have the same menu. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great food. We were able to make a reservation which was awesome as there were 10 of us for lunch and this is a really busy time for the restaurant. They were totally packed. We all enjoyed our meals very much. The wonton soup was delicious. Also the ginger beef was very tasty as well. The service was good and the coffee was pretty good too. I would recommend this place and will definitely be back as well. 👍🏼

0 stars. Wanted the chicken lemongrass spring roll vermicelli bowl... but I wanted to change the lemon grass chicken for tofu. Most places would have been fine with that. Nope apparently they don’t understand how to switch things out and said all I could do was order the black pepper tofu bowl and a side of Spring rolls which is a totally different style of bowl I was looking for something more traditional not full on fusion. costed a extra $8.00 and I didn’t want a whole side order of Spring rolls. I explained this and they said it’s to hard to change chicken out for tofu. I would have paid extra to switch them out even know tofu is cheaper. Terrible service I’ve never gone to a restaurant that doesn’t try to accommodate there customers.. bland dry food.

I have eaten at this location approximately 10 times between dine in and take. This is a staple restaurant for Glenmore and easily a top 3 Vietnamese restaurant for Kelowna. The food is extremely consistent and it’s always prepared quickly. Not extremely “authentic” in the sense that theres not too many funky, truly traditional dishes. But there’s enough on the menu to keep you going for a long time.

I wanted to give negative stars, but that wasn't possible. Me and my mom TRIED to eat at Satay Express yesterday evening. I asked to get the 2 item combo, but I dont eat rice or noodles, so asked if they could put it in a separate container. I was hoping to give it to one of my family members at home... but who I am assuming was the manager, said no. Without hesitation or thought and very aggressively. She told me I could have the 2 item combo at the same price but with no rice or noodles. I explained that if we are paying for the rice/noodles, we will take it and someone else will eat it. She said that they HAVE to put the food on top of the rice/noodles. We offered to pay for the extra take out box and still a sour no. Then as we questioned why they couldn't do it, because they very much physically could, she ran away into the back area. She left 2 other employees to try to explain it to us, even tho it was clear they didnt even understand why they couldn't, but had to follow what the 'manager' said. She was going out of her way to do everything in her power so we could NOT eat there. I understand portion control, I wasnt asking for any extra food... just to put the rice/noodles in a separate container. That's it. So easy. It might also be important to mention that there was not a single customer in line after or before us, so I dont see ANY excuse why they couldn't accommodate We ended up going to Sizzling Wok instead. And they did it. WITH A SMILE ON THEIR FACE. Which is how it should be. I dont know if she was having a bad day, but you have to put that to the side when you're a work. Common sense. The 2 other employees working were wearing a hat and a visor, but the one that ran away and refused to help us was not wearing anything, not even a hair net. She seems like an all around terrible employee. As my mother and I ate our delicious food from Sizzling Wok, I watched as the 2 other employees were smiling to customers and each other and providing quality service. The other employee didnt smile once and just looked miserable. I understand there are times when certain requests can not be met (even tho this one obviously could have been), but there is a certain level of professionalism, respect and understanding that must be maintained when explaining to the customer that it can't be done. Not only was our request simple to accommodate, but on top of refusing to do it she was extremely rude. One of the rudest I've experienced in a long time, and that's including the ENTIRE customer service industry in general, not just food and beverage. I will be sharing this story so everyone knows to avoid this place, unless they want to be treated terribly. Thank goodness SIZZLING WOK was there to turn YOUR horrible customer service experience around. I think your 'manager' is giving them a lot of business.

We were excited to see there was a Vietnamese restaurant at Polo. The name was also encouraging because we love to add satay sauce to spice our Pho. When ordering we had originally wanted to order the platter with vermicelli noodles but was told the noodles weren't available because their "cook was new and very slow," as quoted from the employee. We settled for the beef Pho and asked for a side of satay sauce. We were told that they would have to check with the cook if there was any available. The man helping us didn't seem as though he wanted to enquire about the side satay sauce and ended up telling us that they don't offer it. My spouse commented that this was very odd considering their name. We sat down to eat our beef Pho (without satay sauce from Satay Express) and found the meat to be very rubbery in texture. We've tried a lot of various places in Winnipeg because we love Pho soup but we would have to say Satay Express was the worst Pho we've ever had. I know it was food from a mall food court but Vinh Long at City Place mall was so much better than this. If you want truly good Vietnamese food then we suggest Nhu Y on Henderson or Pho Yo on St. Mary's. Best Pho and Vermicelli we've ever had.

My go to place for Japanese and Asian food. Definitely not purely Japanese, you can find Indian dishes, Chinese Dishes AND Southeast Asia dishes here that all are spectacular. My favorite so far is the Dragonagi Roll, never has it disappointed me. Incredibly fresh ingredients and great service. It is primarily a Japanese cuisine restaurant but I am happy to see they have other cuisines available as Sushi isn't enjoyed by everyone so it enables you to take people here and everyone find something they'll enjoy. My grandfather who is a very old fashion person and has NEVER had Japanese cuisine loved his Dragonagi roll and even took some food home to my grandmother, truly a enjoyable experience. People who do not give this location a great review are either the competition being jealous or have their standards absurdly high. I'm sorry its not Vancouver where you get 90 different Sushi restaurants on your sodding porch but here in Kelowna nothing beats this place in my honest opinion.

Yamato (both West K and Kelowna) has been our go to for quite a few years. The food is generally pretty good and quite reasonably priced. Unfortunately our experience at the \west Kelowna location this week left us quite disappointed - it was very crowded likely being a contributing factor. The service was great, cheerful competent waitperson, but food just OK. What I really want to say about the place though is the state of cleanliness, the floors and furniture ok but the ceiling not so much. Looks like cooking oil covered light fixture in the ceiling, dust covered mechanical services and so on. Certainly takes the "edge" off of the experience.

Good experience at Yamato. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have quite a broad menu with lots available. I'd say everything is done quite well. I feel they dont specialize in any area for example ramen or sushi, but they are still done and are priced well too. The chicken ramen was a clear broth and had quality vegatables and lots of chicken which was good too.

Not a bad place for noodles/soup/rice type stuff. Call ahead and pick up on your way home from work. If you want a full sushi meal in my opinions this is not the best option but as a compliment the have some ok sushi....
