I'm satisfied with the service and product I received here. I had been loyal to another optometry / eyeglass provider in the valley for over 20 years, but recently became a little disenchanted with some of their changes (transformation to amalgamate with the FYIdoctors chain). I switched to Tutt St Optometry for a check up, and Okanagan Optical is attached to them. I know that you can take your prescription anywhere, and I've been through the whole buying glasses online experiment, but I still prefer to buy my eyeglasses from a place like this. I have a very heavy and unusual astigmatism prescription, and I feel that having a qualified person help me choose lenses and mark the focal point can make a difference. All the ladies here were helpful and competent. It took me a few visits to settle on a frame. Their frame prices seemed surprisingly affordable, especially considering the part of town they're located in. To me, though, the frame price is negligible to the lens price. In the end, I feel this is the best pair of glasses I've owned and my peripheral vision is greatly enhanced compared to my last pair. The lady who fitted me offered great advice and insight on the whole process (lens suppliers, etc.), as I had a number of questions that I doubt many people bother to ask. Then again, most people don't have as atrocious of eyes as mine. They also provide a bottle of the best lens cleaning solution I have ever used, with free refills. Additionally, I was kindly welcomed back for routine adjustments and replacement nosepads. I'm sure many places offer these perks, but never have they been made so available to me.

Excellent guy, fast service. Straight up business, not trying to wangle you into spending more money than you have to. Bought my last pair of glasses here. But the first time I went in was a year earlier, with my old glasses which had a nose piece damaged, which he fixed for me. When I tried to pay, he said, Small job, no charge. It's nice and refreshing to deal with honest people.

I recently attended this clinic for a complete eye exam. I found the ladies on the desk to be very courteous and helpful. I also found the examination they administer to be very thorough using what appeared to be some very sophisticated equipment. They even took my blood pressure which was a first for me at an optometrists clinic. Dr. Almond was very professional. He took the time to listen to my concerns and explained his findings in detail in an easy to understand fashion showing test results on a computer screen. My family and I have found a new optometrist! Thank-you!

I would definitely recommended this store! :) Visited today to look at new glasses. I was greeted as soon as I entered and asked if I needed any assistance. The lady who helped me was very friendly and kind. She recommended a variety of frames from the terrible description I gave her of ones I had found at another store. The lady was very patient and helpful (I am very picky with glasses). I found a pair I was interested in and she gave me a quote for the frames and lenses. Very reasonable prices compared to other stores. My quote for frames and lenses came to about $400 where other stores were in the $500-$700 range. They had a huge variety of styles and brands. Lots of well-known brands as well. The store itself was clean, bright, and professional.

I have procrastinated long enough as I didn't want to sound too over-the-top. But I can't help it.... And it is not over the top with what I'm going to say. I have been wearing glasses most of my life. I have tried to save money at various other places.... Costco and LensCrafters Etc. With less than satisfactory results. As I age I wanted to get my glasses to fit better in better and be sharper and sharper. My criteria is pretty high as I really need to have sharp vision for at least 14 to 15 hours a day. This is not my last pair nor is it my first pair of glasses I bought from iSight. The results have been extraordinary. And I must compliment Mr. Woodhouse on his thoroughness to make certain my new specs worked for me. All of the staff at iSight are extraordinary. I trust them implicitly for all of my sight needs!!!! Where to begin, being greeted by a lovely chipper receptionist, followed by a very thourough exam that in my 32 years of living was by far the best experience! Doc was very nice, made you feel like an actual human! A very nice young lady Danielle picked out a beautiful set of Hugo frames for me, I told her what I was looking for and in a matter of 10mins I was paying for the glasses I’ve always wanted!!! She was not like any other I had ever sat down with! I liked my experience so much I bought a set of prescription spy sunglasses and called back a week later and ordered prescription safety glasses for work! Sooo happy I walked thru the doors of glenmore optometry!!!! I wish I hadn’t of spent hundreds of dollars previously on glasses I end up hating........will 100% be a lifer! I was worried about an issue with my contact lenses and needed to find somewhere I could get an appointment the same day. They were not only able to squeeze me in on short notice, but did a great job of explaining everything to me throughout the process. As someone who has been wearing contacts for over 15 years, it’s nice to have that extra knowledge of what to look out for and what is actually normal. Another perk for me was that they do not sell contacts or glasses on site, so it’s the perfect spot for anyone who normally buys those products online as there was no sales pressure at all. Highly recommend!

I was looking for an optometrist and chose Orchard Park Optometry because of how highly they were rated on Google and I'm so glad I did! The reviews were absolutely bang on - right from my first phone call to book the appointment the staff were incredible; very friendly and professional. Dr. Jason Snider was my optometrist and I've never had a more thorough examination. He explained everything he was doing during the examination and took his time answering my questions. I wish I could give more stars!

Have been to see Dr. Broshak for a number of years now. The professionalism and attention I have received are outstanding. As well, the staff at the font desk have been very polite and helpful. There were a number of occasions where I needed an appointment in a hurry and they were able to accommodate me - if Dr. Broshak was not available they would book me with one of his associates.

The customer service is through the roof here! All the girls at the front are amazing aswell, they work very hard and care to ALL CUSTOMERS! I saw Dr. Otte 3 times when I had a very bad eye infection and he was very calming which helped me out a lot but more importantly he was ready to help. We went through a couple Saline rinses and some serious looks into my eyes before we found the perfect solution, but when we did my eyes were cured within 3 days and I had never been happier! Thank you OPO and Dr. Otte!

context: i am moving to toronto on Tuesday and my eye was bothering me. Today is Sunday and the mall closes early, tomorrow (Monday) is labour day, and I leave on Tuesday morning. You can understand my dilemma. I called orchard park optometry and told them my situation. The receptionist Sarah and owner + optometrist Dr. Mat Broschak did EVERYTHING possible in their power to get my eyes checked before I moved. They were all booked up but kept me updated all day and then were able to squeeze me in when someone cancelled!! I had such a stressful day and any type of health care practitioner makes me anxious... sometimes to the point of panic attacks and crying. The staff at this location is incredibly kind. Dr. Mat is very knowledgeable and explained everything calmly. I was very grateful for this. I did not feel anxious at all. He gave me an affordable prescription and some new contact solution along with lenses. Obviously, I highly recommend this optometry. Very very appreciative for the amazing work all of you do! Thank you.

Wow, I don't have to go to Vancouver or Calgary anymore this place has better frames and service than anyone in the okanagan (actually Vancouver too!). I bought Anne & Valentin prescription glasses and Oliver Peoples prescription sunglasses here... Awesome store, awesome eyewear & awesome service from Walter ( owner) & Sandy ( also licensed optician). Found my favorite first time....and then searched all Kelowna ( almost) and Vernon for another pair ...just in case. Thousands of pairs of 'OK to nice' frames...and some horribly boring...back I went for my 'limited run' color combination....'D-gree'. He has lines nobody else carries, and many very unique!! Was looking for something 'different' ( but not 'out there')....and found it BIG TIME! Anne & Valentin handmade and beautiful!...Perfect fit...LOVE them!...and then there's Walter :)...Yes...he's got a lab...so no sending away & waiting....and he's 'awesomesauce'. He made my first pair of progressive glasses ...and although I can't compare...he fit them perfect! I put them on, had a couple minutes of adjusting & 'getting it'....and wore them the next 6 hours or more...no issues!!! He has 'different', but also 'safe'....if you want 'custom eyewear' you must try here, since as an independent, isn't bound to a particular lense or product....and uses his judgement & your wants to give you what you need, want, and works best for you! He can also sight test you. Even if you have to buy a frame elsewhere...talk to him about having him 'fit' them for you. Bought frame Sunday, lenses in Thurs, glasses perfect by Saturday. Absolutely no regrets, and will always consider him first for the build....of any future glasses I buy.

Dont recommend coming to Costco for adjustments. Went in to get my glasses adjusted. The staff member bent my arms and nose pads of my glasses with their hands. Didnt warm them up or use proper tools to adjust. I was instructed not to try to bend the nose pads myself by a Costco optical member when I first received my new glasses as it would likely break them off (this happened when I was trying a similar pair of frames on before purchase). My nose pad anchor is now bent. Then they sprayed my lenses and used their fingers to wipe in the cleaner .... and finished by wiping them with a dirty rag. For the amount of money I spent on new frames and lenses, this is unacceptable and unprofessional. Proper practice needs to be taught to all staff who work in this department.

I just had my first experience at Sun Valley Optometry and I was blown away by this business! The environment was so calm and inviting. The young lady who works at the front desk was super friendly, knowledgeable, and very welcoming. Dr. Broschak was such a friendly, humble, and down-to-earth guy who explained things clearly without making you feel unintelligent. The eye exam was thorough and I never felt like I was being rushed through the process. In all honesty, this was the best eye appointment experience I’ve ever had! I will absolutely continue seeing Dr. Broschak and will/would recommend Sun Valley Optometry to everyone/anyone!
