I take lessons here, their voice lessons are fantastic and I've also learned to play the guitar thanks to them. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Friendly and supportive staff, great music store with so much selection. I love browsing, it's always my first thought on where to get equipment. I'm also grateful to have the opportunity to be involved in their concerts, great experiences and so much fun to watch a whole concert unfold. Learned so much not only from my teachers, but also from the rental department in the store.

I’ve been taking vocal lessons with Amanda Morazain at Wentworth for over 10years, every week I look forward to my lesson. You always take such good care of myself and my family every time we are in your store and we are always so impressed with the selection of musical equipment you have in the store. I have been dealing with Wentworth for some years. I highly recomend them for their knowledge of their product and the professional attitude. I had a situation with something purchased there and the outcome was extreemly satisfying. They went out of their way to make sure that it would be resolved. I gave them 5 stars and they deserve it. Great music store, cool layout and decent selection. They have pretty much anything you’d need musically and the customer service is really good.

I've made several major instrument purchases at Wentworth over the years, and I'm consistently pretty happy with the sales staff. It's always the first place I look for something because it has the largest selection of instruments and accessories in Kelowna. They try a bit to cater to some speciality instruments (i.e. I'm happy that they finally started stocking sitar strings), but mainly they carry a lot of alternatives of the most popular instruments. The only thing I don't like is their limited business hours... It's almost always closed when I want to browse.

Love this music school! With two boys taking multiple instruments and choir, the school sometimes feels like a second home... Wonderful and welcoming. When I think of the amazing and unique relationships the teachers have with their students, (seeing the same student one on one, year after year, watching them grow up) I know there is no other place I'd rather send my sons!

My wife and I have been taking piano lessons with Melodie for just over a year. As new adult learners we were a little intimidated about taking lessons, but it has turned out awesome. Melodie is the perfect role model teacher. She is full of energy, fun, caring, a wonderful teacher and a very accomplished pianist. We look forward to each and every lesson.

This is a tremendous music school. All the teachers are friendly and welcoming. Sandra Mitchell is an experienced music teacher and has developed a marvelous relationship with our son. Delightful, sums up my children’s experience at the West Kelowna Music School. They started out with Mrs. Sandra Mitchell at the age of four. My children looked forward to Mrs. Mitchells’ classes. Mrs. Mitchell had a variety of approaches to teaching music to young children, and brought with her to each class a wonderful excitement to their music experience. Our children now have Mrs. Karen Emmond as their teacher. Mrs. Emmond is an excellent teacher, she continuously challenges the children and meets their musical needs. What I like as a parent is that the children are made accountable for their preparedness when they come to class, and as a result they are engaged in each and every lesson.

I feel certain my teenaged daughter would have given up piano lessons if it weren't for this gem of a music school. My daughter began lessons with Mrs Emmond at the age of 13 when we moved to West Kelowna and is still continuing with (and enjoying!) lessons at aged 17, despite saying before we first went that she was going to "give up lessons soon". She has learnt so much with Mrs Emmond, particularly regarding technique, and has also very much enjoyed theory lessons (and I can't say I ever enjoyed my theory lessons as a child - so that's impressive!) Mrs Emmond makes every lesson fun but also stretching. The school has a great family atmosphere and lots of opportunities for families to join in on music performances if they want to. Highly recommended.

Seems like an excellent place to get educated on music programs. I met the owners and they are very passionate and knowledgeable. Why go pay 50 times more at CATO when you can get exactly what you need here. Keep up the good work!

Zac is not only a highly-skilled professional, he is a natural instructor who has an amazing talent for connecting with young people and drawing out their confidence and passion for music, at the same time as they work to improve their skills and hone their ability on the kit. After seeing him in action, I cannot recommend enough.

Linda has been teaching our daughter both piano and singing for 8 years now. She is patient, kind, and hard working. As the kids grow and learn she helps the kids to learn songs that they like so they are more interested in practice and learning. Linda has helped Jordan with singing in public and coming out of her shy shell. Now Jordan feels nervous, but more comfortable with singing at open mic's and in year end recitals. Linda cares about her students with all her heart. I would highly recommend Linda for your child's music lessons. Her husband, John, is also such a great guy. He is always so helpful. We were trying to find a new keyboard for our daughter within a certain price range and both Linda and John set out on the path to help us and were very successful in the endeavor. Thanks Linda and John for being apart of Jordan's life for the past 8 years. When she is off to university next year she will miss you very much! Sincerely, Christina and Randy

Linda has taught all three of our kids piano for several years now. I love how she teaches the kids to play by ear as well as how to read sheet music. She is great at making piano interesting by allowing the kids to select music that they enjoy. I really appreciate how Linda has listened to our needs over the years and created lessons that work well for each child's personality. It is obvious that she really loves music and loves to see the kids develop their skills!

My girls are in vocal and guitar with John and Linda. I am so pleased with their progress. John and Linda are excellent teachers! Highly recommend MacMusic!

Nothing but great thing to say about this studio! If you are looking for upbeat, fun and productive lessons, this is the right place to be! My kids have always come out of lessons having had a good time and looking forward to returning.

My daughters are learning to be their best singing guitar musicians under the tutelage of Linda and John. I am looking forward to the recital in June!

I wanted to get lessons but while emailing, the person that replied wasn't helpful at getting me set up and I was confused And lost my interest in piano, by the way, I don't think that the reviews posted on this before today are real

We have attended this music school for a few years now and we love it! My son has taken piano and violin with Dan and still does currently. We absolutely love Dan and his school, even as a teenager my son still loves going and Dan truly is an amazing teacher! I love that Dan can pluck an instrument off his wall and play, also he relates to the students so well. My son was a bit quiet and shy in the beginning and Dan really tailored the lessons to my sons comfort and skill. I would give more than 5 stars if I could! If you are looking for lessons this is 100% the place to go! Amazing music school!!!

I have been going here for three years with my brother and we both love it. The teachers are the best! There is Dan, Dan and Maria and yes there are 2 Dans. - Christina Both my kids attend this music school and we are very happy with the results. All three of my kids have taken music lessons here and they loved it. Dan creates a friendly, fun learning environment for all ages of music students. I highly recommend this school.

Leo Jr. and Bob Silversides what a combo/ Duet. These two gentlemen and the staff at Keystone know how to look after clients. Leo helped set up a little Silvertone Guitar for me. He had it playing like a STRAT. I never hesitate to send friends in for equipment as I know they will be treated professionally. The showroom is like " Keyboard Heaven" They have small portable keyboards (Some used at very good price points) right up to the most incredible Grand Piano's. The real bonus if you are just starting out or are purchasing for your child or grandchildren is jow beautiful these talented musicians can play all of them. Please as Santa Says "Give the gift of MUSIC🎹🎶🎵🎙🎤" The gift that keeps on giving. Before you purchase a keyboard or Piano stop in and see Leo or Bob they have years of experiance. I recently graduated from the Audio Engineering and Production program at CATO and it has been a phenomenal experience. It is worth noting that if you don't show up ready to learn and work hard that it will be a waste of your money because this program is challenging just like any other post secondary education. The teachers and facilities are excellent and the classes are constantly being updated to fit the modern industry. I would highly recommend this program to anyone that is serious about a career in audio.

God awful experience, lots of favoritism among the teachers to an extent so bad that it affected lesson plans to benefit those students which where close to the teachers. a fair amount of the equipment was broken, hell a music school didn't even have their own drum kit but rather used a students. software is outdated throughout the school making it impossible to work on audio projects on a different computer if need be. Teachers teaching classes they clearly had no interest in causing a huge disconnect between the student and the teacher final exams are ruthless, what school in their right mind has finals being timed for 15 minutes, and if you get under 80% you automatically fail the class? its absolutely absurd the little knowledge you do get out of it, does not equate to the amounts of blatant mental abuse, anxiety and depression this school will put you though nor is it worth the 32K price tag

My experience with the program I took was ground-breaking for me. I wouldn't know nearly as much about music, music production, or the audio industry in general if it hadn't been for this place. it's a touch expensive but definitely worth it in my opinion

I am (or was, in a few weeks) a student in the Audio Engineering Program at CATO and I have had nothing but the best experience here. I have found the instructors to be qualified, helpful, and eager; taking the time to answer questions, give personal advice, and for the most part, do their utmost to help you with whatever you need in relation to their classes. It's important to note that this is a post-secondary institution like any other, and you will almost definitely be learning far more than just what you want, just like any other program out there. I, in the AEP program had to endure a fair bit of Electronic Music Production, in which I have no interest, but despite myself, has turned out to be extremely helpful and teaches many universal musical and production principles. There is even a class within this program on the Business of Music, which is exceptional and prepares you for many, otherwise potentially mysterious circumstances that would be very difficult to navigate without former knowledge. If you come here, you are not buying an object, you're buying an opportunity; these are good people, and have given my every chance to better myself, my craft, and my professional portfolio. Every teacher has invited me to ask them questions after hours, and makes time for extra material, if it is requested. I have tremendous respect for all of the instructors here and I feel it to be entirely reciprocated.

If you are ready to fully commit and put 110% into your investment and your future, then this school is for you! Just becuase it's art and technolgoy driven, doesn't mean that it's easy!! At the end of the day, YOU get what YOU put into it!! Great school for great students!!

(If I could give this review 0 stars, I would) Hello, I am a previous student from CATO that graduated a few years back from the Interior Design program. I want to first start off by saying that my experience at the Centre For Arts and Technology was extremely negative and from a personal experience I would like to recommend all students find another institute that meets their needs in terms of education. A few things that really resonate with me from this school are the lies we were fed from the beginning of the program. We were told (I have proof) that we would be able to transfer our credits (after completing our program) with ease to a different institute. This is completely false. Most institutes (in terms of Interior Design) require higher standards and are seeking out students that come from a CIDA Accredited Institute (which CATO is not). The Centre for Arts and Technology also has a poor transfer credit program and relationships with other institutes, which means that transferring to other schools and furthering your education could be a difficult task. Another thing I would like to note is that the staff (instructors) would arrive late to class. I have had numerous experiences where the staff came thirty minutes (once even an hour) late. I would also like to note that the Instructors are not trained to teach, they are simply individuals from the work field that have been brought in. Which means that the education you are expecting to receive (from skilled professors that have trained experience in teaching) is not what you will be getting. I feel as students that are paying around $40,000 for Interior Design education, behaviour such as this is extremely unprofessional, unethical, and wrong. This Institute also does not prepare you for the workforce as many of the students graduated from this program are not working as designers (or even related to the field of design). I have been out of this school for a little bit and no workplace wants to hire me due to my lack of knowledge (which CATO failed to teach) and because of the illegitimacy of the schools reputation. It has come to the point where a lot of the students I have gone to school with would like to file a complaint or even sue. I want to conclude this review by recommending any student that is thinking of applying to this school, to re-evaluate their options and possibly find other institutes. I would also like to recommend the staff to enhance their efforts in the program and to CARE about the success of the students. It is so sad to see so many students spending thousands of hard earn dollars to an organization that doesn't care to benefit the future of the students. It is such a shame. I came to cato with zero knowledge about music and now I am in 6th quater and I feel pretty confident about my music and my mixing skills and thanks to the teachers they are just amazing always ready to help if you have a vision in your mind and know what you want to do in your life then this is the right place.

An absolute and outright scam. Highly recommend against going here. Save your money, look around and for the love of god, don't go here. I took the audio engineering program, and this school is easily in the top 5 regrets I'll have in life. The teachers are advertised as industry professionals, but a lot of them are former students, the school itself is over priced for what you get, the degree's you would get are non transferable and aren't really recognized in most workplaces. They company that runs the school used to have 2 other ones out east and they folded those two. The cost alone is insane for what you get. You're better off going to a school that has a strong reputation. Couple of final notes on that school, in terms of the cost. My program cost about $20,000, I'll be paying that off for a long time. As for others who've gone through other programs, I don't know of many that have actually found work in their industry. I got my current job by dumb luck and knowing someone. I can't speak enough about how poorly run the school is especially when it comes to running their programs. Is there a specific program you're looking into?
