We paid a deposit to have Harmony Homes build our carriage house. When our zoning suddenly changed and we needed to modify the design, the only option they provided to us was WAY outside our budget, was $60/square foot more than our original design and required us to tear down part of our existing house. They told us that we had to pick that design if we wanted to build that fall/winter. Plus it was a giant modern 4 car garage when we requested a small carriage house with a 1 car garage that would compliment our 100 year old home and leave us with some yard space. We originally went with Harmony because they advertise that they are a "custom" builder but that is clearly not the case. They kept our deposit and we had to walk away because there was no way we could afford that giant monstrosity that they were recommending we build. We went with another builder who listened to what we wanted, created a custom design at the price per square foot that we had budgeted for, and they were able to build the entire thing that fall/winter. Words can't express the sour taste I feel about Harmony Homes. And now they are building a carriage house next door to us and have destroyed our fence that is built on our side of the property.

Harmony's design process and knowledge about house construction and building codes were excellent, and enabled us to obtain the key features we wanted in our home. Construction was well managed with no major gaps where nothing was being done. Our budget was also well managed, and their change management process ensured we had no surprises. They were cooperative with us to enable some of the construction to be done by ourselves and leave the less important parts of the home unfinished so we could do them later to help with managing our budget. We really enjoyed working with Jason Webb and the Harmony Homes Team and ended up with a great home.

Framers Family

We are a well respected and experienced trade supply for over 20 years. We recently did some work for 3rd Generation Homes in Kelowna. We were very disappointed and found Gerald the owner to be inexperienced and highly unorganized. We felt like he is learning to build off the backs of his clients, costing the clients far more money, waste and time then he should have. It took months for his houses to be built as we tripped over each other and fought to get paid. We felt very bad for the clients and their extra expenses incurred because of his mistakes and recommend having your house in Kelowna built by a General Contractor with more experience.

Waited for a detailed quote, never got one, and then were told that (Scott) does not like to waste time preparing quotes for jobs he doesn't think he is going to get. With that sort of attitude, it certainly did not make us want to proceed and were glad we went with someone else.
