Dr. Rourke is a no nonsense professional. My husband had suffered of cancer and subsequence scar tissue causing stricture for almost 20 years. He was seeing a urologist in Vancouver that had him coming back over and over for biopsies and stretching without any plan to get rid of the cancer....just poked the bear...causing more and more scar tissue. Dr. Rourke simply said “having a little bit of cancer is like being a little bit pregnant...either you have cancer or not and we need to get rid of the cancer “ Dr. Rourke has fixed both problems in just one operation- not the 2 or 3 stages first expected. He is a brilliant doctor and brilliant human. He has saved so much for the medical system by fixing these men’s health issues and has given us a future. Thank you so much Dr. Rourke...we are eternally grateful.

Look...I've passed several kidney stones in my life. Most of them required surgery because they would get stuck. I've had several urologists, and I've disliked them all, except for Dr. Jacobsen. Dr. Jacobsen is kind and understanding. I had so many factors that needed to be taken into account, and he obliged them all. Office staff was courteous and professional and listened to my concerns. BEST IN THE CITY. Hands down.

Waiting time: 55min - Duration of consultation: 3min - Work Environment: reception very outdated. Doctor's room is tiny, very old looking with a disgusting small sink to wash hands, a desk with two monitors and a patient table. Doctor's attitude: very cold, he barely looked at me, told me what I already knew, Dr. didn't do any check-up on me or either made reasonable questions. He looked into his computer screen, made a note I guess and said he would send info to my family doctor. Last note: this type of "doctor" helps to waste public money in health care. Honestly I believe Alberta Health Services (AHS) might pay $65-$90 per patient who walks in this place. 6 patients walked into doctor's room within the 55min of my waiting time. So let's say he normally receives 6 patients per hour. This easily projects a gross income of at least $300k/year if this doctor works 30h/week. The receptionist was nice. But I was there to talk and get an exam done with the doctor. For a poor service provided like the one I had, this "doctor" deserves HALF star in my overall experience. I'll never go back. STAY AWAY of this place!

I called here to try and get an appointment for my friend to see dr yan and one of the receptionist name Jessica refused to make the appointment. She kept insisting to have my friend make the appointment himself to see if he wants to see a different doctor and I told her that he doesn't want to see any other doctor, he only want to see dr yan. She insisted that the doctors are away all of next week and I said that it doesn't have to be next week just give me the next appointment available after that. She seems to be in a hurry to me get off the phone and kept insisting that my friend calls and book the appointment. Seriously just give me the next available appointment you have?!! I've been making an appointment at this place and never had any issues till now. Needless to say I didn't make the appointment because she didn't want to give me an appointment.

Wow. I am shocked. the secretary was talking to my very polite, well spoken boyfriend and she was the rudest person. She actually hung up on him for no reason and he called back and they did not pick up. The lack of professionalism is mind-blowing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. EDIT: Funny that when I read the reviews I see a trend. Fire your terrible staff and get some people in who know what professionalism is, as well as learning what customer service is.

Terrible terrible staff. Had to remind them to check my MRI results 3 months after i did them. Then when i finally come in for my schedule at 2pm(i even came early) i had to wait a whole 2 hours i seen people walk in before me who didnt even have a appointment.
