I only write reviews if I feel like I walked out of a place thinking either "wow, that was terrible" or "wow, that was incredible!" This place was the latter. After checking out places like sleep country and mattress mattress, where they would swarm us and pressure us into buying, dealing with Corey was an incredibly refreshing experience. He seemed to really know his stuff, never once tried to upsell us and was very honest. We're going to be purchasing an additional mattress for our guest room and will absolutely return here.

My wife and I were have the worst sleeps on our old mattress. It was frustrating because it was supposedly an expensive / fancy mattress I got from one of the big name stores - but only lasted 3 years. When we came in to The Mattress & Sleep Company I had no idea what to expect. Corey was the guy we interacted with and it was an amazing experience. They actually walked us through why our other mattress didn't last, what we should really look for, and was a completely no pressure store. We walked out the first day without buying the bed because we wanted to do some of our own reading - and the more we did, the more we knew we wanted to buy the mattress here. They're very accommodating, patient with us and felt like a family boutique for the best mattresses you could actually get. We've slept amazingly since we got our bed. Really appreciated the team there and the products.

Very nice store. The selection is good and staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Mattresses are good quality therefore a bit more costly. However if you are wanting financing, they do not provide it at the moment.

If you have never owned a latex mattress bed-I would suggest you don't. Two years ago, I purchased a Sleeptek bed from Daniel thinking great bed-firm (will last), healthy (no chemicals etc), quality (since paying for high end product). To my dismay for two years, I have not slept soundly the whole night-constantly waking up every 2-3 hours due to lower back pain that I could not stand up in the morning at times. After a few phone calls, Daniel couldn't even tell me what firmness by bed was; however, when you open the mattress cover the tabs indicate firm, med, and soft. I went into the shop to see Daniel and he was speaking with a sales rep at the time. Instead, of acknowledging me right away, he continued to talk to the rep for another 10 minutes-I was surprised at this unsatisfactory customer service for a high end shop. Daniel suggested a talalay 2" topper to ease my pain-is 2" enough? Will it really help? I was reluctant as I wondered how much more am I spending on an expensive Twin XL at $2500 to get $525 for a topper that may just be a band aid solution. I am not a heavy person at 125 lbs so I was confused. I needed to figure this out since I was unsure whether the bed was too firm or too soft. I finally decided to call Sleeptek directly and suggested I have a friend look at my spine while lying on the bed to see if it is straight. sleeptek was also able to tell me how firm or soft each layer was based on the ILD measurement. So my bed was too soft and my spine was dipping down. I switched the firm in the middle and the bed seems to provide more support. However, now I get a different pain-I think the soft layer of the mattress is still too soft and causing me to sink slightly rather than providing the support I need. I am so fed up, I am considering getting a cheap coil mattress that I use to sleep like a baby.

I bought a mattress here about a year ago and forgot to leave a review at the time. Even so, this far removed from the date of purchase, I still remember how welcoming and helpful the staff were - especially Kevin. This wasn't just shopping for a new mattress - it was a whole experience. Kevin really took his time to walk me through all of my options and helped me find a bed that was both comfortable and supportive, and in my price range. I've slept on it for around a year now and it's still just as comfortable and supportive as the day I purchased it. All of my neck and back pain has gone away and I'm feeling much better on the whole. Thank you to everyone at Mattress Mattress for everything! Had the worst experience ever with Surplus Furniture today. The employee's response to my phone was too rude. He literally said " I have another customer now to talk to" so between the lines..."you are not a worthy customer" ! I bought a box spring that did not fit into my stairs to get it to my bedroom. It is in its original package and never been used. They refused to return it back! So take my advice, buy your stuff from anywhere except Surplus Furniture. My experience was a sad one. Replying back to the owner's reply: I already left a message on that phone number voicemail and no one ever called back since yesterday!!!

The people who work there are shady and failed to inform me that my order was a final sale simply due to the fact that I paid in full (they said I would have been eligible for a refund only if I did layaway and it wasn't fully paid for). When I told my friends about the situation, they said that I should have never went here because this place has a reputation for scamming their customers and delivering furniture that was different than what they ordered in store. I will NEVER spend a single dime in this store again

Wow..reading these reviews I'm shocked to see so many people were victims of the mattress scam. I too had been delivered a mattress that was different than what I bought in store. These guys just want your money and they'll do anything to get it. Do not give it to them. Once you do, you're on your own. If you've been scammed, contact the BBB or consumer protection as these guys should be shut down for their underhanded business practices. Not fair to the consumer at all. They should be sued for false and misleading advertising.

We went to The Brick in south edmonton common and could not believe the amount of force we received from the sales associates there. So we tried this brick instead. The sales associate we had named Aaron was more than helpful. It was so nice dealing with someone that wasn't pushy and actually knew what he was talking about. I would go here again and again. I only have great things to say about this store. The selection is great, the sales are phenomenal, and Dan is honestly the most helpful sales person. We went into the store twice. The first time Dan helped us find the right fit but we weren't sure if we were ready to buy. He told us about options for financing but he was informative, not pushy. We came back a month or so later and he remembered who we were and which mattresses we were looking at. Again Dan was so informative about different mattress protectors and bed frames. It's hard to find such good customer service and quality products all in one place. Great job Dan!

Daniel the store manager and his manager went above and beyond to ensure we were "happy customers" and we both really appreciate what they did. I have bad hips that ache in the morning if I'm sleeping on the wrong mattress. They allowed us to try two mattresses before we found the third and perfect mattress. They were clearly more concerned with great customer service than the store policy of only one mattress exchange. Highly recommend Daniel and the Mattress store on 63 ave!!

We were in need of a sectional but only had a limited budget. Thankfully Denis made it happen along with the help of store manager Lance. Their clearance section had a wide selection and we were in and out in less than an hour with our new sectional, wrapped and ready to go! I prefer taking my time and shopping on my own and the staff there is good at reading cues. Markdowns are great, they usually have a pretty big selection of final sale items and work to still get you a better deal once you know what you're getting.

In the market for an electric bed, I was referred to Mattress Mattress on Wye Road in Sherwood Park. I was truly surprised by Joyce and her daughter's knowledge, professional and friendly attitude as they helped me pick out the bed and mattress that was right for me. I sent my husband out to get a mattress for our 3 year old who was transitioning to a big bed. My husband told me that Tim was more than willing to sell him a cheaper mattress first and didn't just step into the high end mattresses. We recently bought a king size latex mattress from this store and didn’t even look elsewhere after our experience with Tim. We walked in with a very limited knowledge on mattresses and left feeling like we knew exactly what we wanted. Tim was very helpful and not pushy at all, which we really appreciated. I work on my feet a lot, almost 65 - 80 hrs p/week. Since it is a seasonal job. I also do gym training. My bed and adjustable base give good elevation for blood circulation. Totally a good investment for health wellness. Elevated my leg I dont get hot feet or tingling feeling on my legs. For first timer who never got beducated make sure you spend at least 45mins - 1hours in store. Once you get that knowledgable it will help you make a better decision. And even for future shopping easier. I gave them that extra 5 star because they are truly genuine people who know their products and who listen, and try their best to fit your need or want.

This brick was excellent. The service from our salesman and the manager was above and beyond. Myself and my roommate purchased a floor model recliner, which we received an excellent price on. Purchase was quick and easy, warranty was easy to choose and the furniture care kit was a nice touch. It was a very pleasant experience to shop there for the most part. Some inappropriate behavior by an individual in the next sales booth over was an issue, but only a minor one. Overall I'd recommend this brick to any of my friends who need a good quick furniture purchase.

Got my new mattress delivered today & the Brick will take away your old mattress for only $15. I like that the Brick contacts you after your online purchase to confirm everything & answer any questions. You’re notified the night before your delivery of the 3 hour delivery window by text, automated call & email. You can track where your delivery team & where you are in the order of delivery. Delivery men called to let me know when they’d be 5-10 minutes away. Cody & Daniel got here at the end of my 3 hour window (understandable when you’re #10 on a Saturday), were professional & cheerful, and were fast & efficient. 2 excellent purchasing experiences in the last 4 months!!

I ordered a product and couldn’t pick it up myself because I was sick and asked Emily Dyke if my husband could pick this up and she said no that I had to do this myself. I asked if we could withdraw my order and reorder then under husbands name or add his name. She said no I have to come in to the Brick store to do this and I had a time limit to do this. My husband called the warehouse where we were to pick this up and they said they could do this. Then I received a phone call from Emily shortly after and she was annoyed that we asked this and said under no circumstances will this happen and I would have to come in to the Brick downtown to change this order as her supervisor told her this. I have recently purchased product from the Brick after Christmas holidays and was treated so well by Joseph I decided to have a Brick master card. I have always had one credit card and never felt I wanted or needed another one. I have a great credit rating and have been a life long customer of the Brick and always felt their staff wanted to make sales and treat people good. I went in sick to cancel this purchase and Staff were perfessional and personable. They also told me she is the supervisor? I will be cancelling my credit card and have no further business with the Brick if this is the personnel they promote in management. I went to the Bay and they had just what I needed with no delivery charge and a friendly atmosphere. Goodbye Brick.

Really good experience. My girlfriend and I are buying our first house, and we went in to the store to purchase furniture. Money's tight, so we were looking at either showroom models or clearance models to save some money. When we found and purchased what we were interested in, we paid for it and scheduled our pickup date. On our way out, the manager approached us and asked to look at our receipt. He informed us that even though we are paying clearance price, they have a brand new sofa in the back warehouse still plastic wrapped that they will hold for us at no additional charge. They went above beyond our expectations and have made our first home purchase just that much more special. Thank you!

If there is any negative star review i would love you provide that. I had horrible experience at the customer service. All people at service desk have no people skill. I was attended by the manger at the desk after 45 min . I was only the person in the line and all other employees were moving here and there without acknowledging my presence. He process the refund for me and pass the rest to a other woman at the service desk. She took over the process without saying hi or anything. Manger told her just to put money on cards without making me wait more because I been standing here long enough. She was looking at computer screen for good 10 min and I asked her “ what is taking so long is there any issue that you are facing” just to figure if everything is all right . She replied in rude way “ refund does take time so wait “ . I was shocked with here attitude I mean working at service desk and have no communication skill . I wish I can right her name here but she had no name tag. She was brown skin and black hair lady assuming East Indian . She put paper work at desk after processing refund and left. I took my receipt by assuming that refund has been completed . I am hoping that mangers can provide her more training to be good service desk employee as that desk represent face for Leon company .

When i received my order two pieces were damaged i waited 5 weeks to get the one piece replaced still waiting for the other. The first delivery guys from the north store were both rude and unprofessional. HOW EVER THE DELIVER GUYS THAT BROUGHT MY REPLACEMENT WERE FANTASTIC I WANT TO PRAISE THEM THEY WERE NICE AND EVEN UNPACKED MY STUFF VERY GOOD JOB THEY DESERVE A RAISE.

I was a 20+ year loyal customer of Leon’s. Today I end any loyalty. I purchased a leather couch and love seat in mid 2017 and within 6 months it was falling apart. A new set was sent to me 7 months ago and again it’s falling apart (cushions, springs, etc) I was informed that it is no longer under warranty and the service call is at my expense. Very disappointed, considering I love Leon's. Ordered a bar height table. Was super excited to get it. Table comes in and it's three times bigger than what we ordered and not bar height. So we got the wrong table and chairs. Not to mention the hardware was missing which didn't bother me at all. Went to have this rectified and they said that they would leave the table in our house for another 2 days, which takes up the dining and living room area, until they had time to bring the right table. Mistakes happen I get it, but nothing was even attempted to try and make this less frustrating for us

Completely dissapointed. Unfair. We bought a bedroom set, a high chest, a wall clock and a bench. All of the above items were damaged upon arrival or after two weeks of usage. The bed set had one drawer broken, the wall clock did not work, the bench lid broke after 2 weeks. Also, when we opened the high chest after delivery the top was of and the wood broken in pieces. After all these issues customer service did not care and they did not exchange any of my items and we paid close to $3,000. We waste our time and money at this store. I would not recommend this store to anybody.

On the day of delivery the delivery company called to inform me the dishwasher was broken and they would not be delivering and broken product. So bad I bought a sofa on weekend I called in for an exchange the lady spoke in really rude manner. She was so straight forward and never spoke in a polite manner. Also when I paid for the sofa they never bothered to explain the terms n conditions in detail. I went in for the first time but it was not worth a penny. Would like to have a refund in my case. I was charged unnecessarily because is was more then 48 hours . It sucks..!

Horrible experience with Ashley Furniture. Before buying our king size bed, the salesperson made it sound like the bed quality was great. It looked nice and that was the main reason we chose to purchase it. Within 1 year, the frame broke. My wife is around 130lbs, I am 170lbs and we don't have any children who could jump or play on the bed. The frame of the bed could not handle our weight. I called Ashley Furniture Guest Care in early December to request new part for the bed. The agent told me the placed the order and the part will be ready for pick up within 4 weeks. It is March 13th now, and we still have not received the part and when we try to call them, they keep extending the timeline from early January to early February to late February to early March and now we are told part will be here next week (late March compared to original statement of early January). Ashley Furniture is not doing anything whatsoever to acknowledge this problem that they have within their company. We have been sleeping on a cushion on the floor for the past 4 months and starting to develop back pain now. DO NOT EXPECT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. If you are willing to gamble on buying something in hopes of it not getting broken/damaged then go for it. But if you are looking for quality products and better customer service then shop elsewhere.

Very bad customer service charged me $300 because I cancel my order in 56 hours. Be careful once you buy you can’t Change your mind. Most of the things is Canada we can return in week or 39 days. They only need your money even they don’t want you to come back. They make their own policies and in the brick I return a think after 6 days before delivery.

Staff in store are very professional and knowledgeable. Mattress selection should suit almost anyone. Definitely try their pressure point/firmness test, it will help you narrow down what type of mattress is best for you... and it’s free! I had a much different experience with the delivery staff. They did not seem to know the best way to set up the product. There was a lot of trouble shooting on site. They were also kind of rough when they carried the products inside, and turned a blind eye when pieces of the ceiling were scrapped off and fell to the floor. Love the products, but the overall experience could definitely improve.

First time buying from Ashley Furniture and will be the last! Might have nice furniture, but the delivery of the furniture, customer service from a manager at the south Edmonton store and lastly a very rude guest care service agent was another story. There is no such thing as white glove service neither and wrapping of the furniture where it doesn't get all scratched to hell!! Plastic wrap protects NOTHING! Having to take time off work more than once for pickup and delivery for repairs and really they don't care about being professional, customer service, being respectful or if you're happy! This is not worth my headache!! Not even worth a one star....

I had went with my friend to purchase furniture for our home and was very pleased with the way all the staff treated us. Everybody at this location was exceptional and welcoming. They made sure we got all the information we needed on our furniture to make sure it was the right one for us. The customer service team is also awesome. GET A NEW FRONT DESK GIRL. I made a payment and when I got in my car to look at the papers my money went into someone else’s account from another province. I paid with cash and she told me to come back later while they got it sorted out and sent me away WITHOUT PROOF THAT I PAID. SHE KEPT MY PAPER WITH MY SIGNATURE ON IT. Once my stuff is paid off I am DONE WITH YOU GUYS. I don’t want me money floating around your guys’ hands!

We ordered two full sofas. There were some small hiccups... (Missing a leg for one sofa and a ripped dust cover on the other.) They had no problem getting this resolved for us. Dealing with helpful friendly staff was really appreciated and such a relief.

"Just call us" is not a valid return policy. Trying to sell an appliance with no warranty when there's a massive sign behind the register saying all merchandise comes with a warranty is shady at best. Either your staff needs more training or your company needs better policies, either way we won't be back.

Waited a long time while my partner ended up doing the long roped off walk back and forth from store-floor to cashier, to information desk to back dock. Finally we were told to drive it around back. Polite and strong young man loaded our handicap van but the whole process took too long.
