Unfortunately, due to an extremely long divorce process, I had the opportunity to work with a number of the lawyers at this firm. Every one of them was exceptional. I felt like my needs were addressed and my expectations were managed well. This was the second law firm I hired and I can confirm that you get what you pay for. The hourly rates with Jones Divorce Law were higher but there was no dithering. Once we decided on a process the lawyers were quick to complete what needed to be done on my end. I believe that even at the higher hourly rate I saved money over staying with my previous lawyer who had a tendency to draw things out so not much was achieved for my money. I highly recommend this firm.

Since then their calculator is my go to any time any one asks me about child support. It is the best I have seen online and the only one that makes support calculations understandable.

Heather Davidson is the worse lawyer I have had. She doesn't return phone calls or email updates. She stated changing the kids school would be no problem and couldn't do that. If she writes a response to this review she will undoubtedly blame it on my former lawyer but that lawyer had child support for me and had me getting a good portion of the trust. Heather lost me everything and the tiny bit that I was awarded went straight to Heather's pocket. If you use Heather, she will constantly be busy and out of town and unable to accomplish the simplest of tasks. Heather's exact words were just sign the agreement and then I was sent to her partner to sign it because she was out of town. The partner even stated I didn't have to sign it but it's not like I had any more money to pay. After all the funds had been divided, I went to see if there was any more after Heather had taken her share, and it turns out they gave another 2000 grand to my ex lawyer. And no one told me a thing. So, in summary, you won't be able to do what is best for your children if you go to this lawyer. And she will take all your money, tell you things are easy to change and not do a single thing. This firm does not provide legal advice. They are just here to take your money and be out of town or busy.

I can't begin to say how disappointed I was with this firm. I was with them for about six months for a family law issue. In that time, I sent the lawyer four emails with questions and received no response four times. After months of nothing happening, there finally was a phone meeting with my arbitrator and the lawyers that I was not told about (before or after) but no meeting time was ever set. In six months, we never had an actual meeting with the arbitrator and my son's issues were never addressed. I finally asked the lawyer to transfer my file to another lawyer in the firm and they refused so I cut my losses (and the thousands that I paid them) and moved on. The money that I lost is frustrating but it pales in comparison to the time that I missed out on with my only son.

I had been gathering information about my ex assets that had been left out of his disclosure for 2 years and needed this information before any agreement would be reached. Mr montoute continued to delay and put off requests for the information i provided him and could not get an agreement to Arbitrate until i could no longer afford to pay my legal fees with him. After I paid this lawyer almost $10,000 in legal I received nothing in return but a request for financial information that was never provided by my ex because he would not force the issue and an additional year delay in my trial

As is Nigel, but he always made time to respond to my emails and texts in a timely manner. He even responds after hours! I don't expect that of him, but just goes to show you his dedication. He never made me feel dumb when I asked silly or obvious questions. He gave me options on how to proceed and respond to certain events, and also provided all possible outcomes. Cyndy Morin and Joshua Wasylciw provided extremely bad service. I would wait weeks to connect with her. Thousands of dollars incurred for him to prepare a 300 page affidavit (including documents he never even read). A document that I couldn't even follow and that no judge is ever going to read. Cyndy had Joshua attended court... THEN he didn't file the affidavit with the court OR even bring a copy to the court date. He did not bring 1 piece of paper to my court date. Joshua stood before the judge and asked opposing counsel if he could borrow her file that she brought so he had something to reference! The times I did meet with Cyndy she I was left for 30 minuting waiting for her in her conference room. All the while I could hear them chatting about office furniture arrangement. They were more frustrating to deal with than my ex. P.S. The Client Services Coordinator I had contacted many times had not called me back and really is a joke.

Be careful, no recommendable and unethical firm. Moto ..You don’t need to be a lawyer if you are going to fight against them. My counterpart raised false testimonies at court and obviously got all orders she wanted and made all court appearances without a lawyer. I lost my job and had to go back home to help me relatives and I have let my counterpart know situation and she agreed as she wanted to be come back home as well. As, I was overseas, I had hired this firm to help me, in my case because she raised spousal support order during my absence, I submitted all my information to Rahima and obviously, I was charge for it but I had to repeat over and over the same stated in documents. So many details were omitted on affidavits and said this is our case and we are confident we will win. I had to get notarized affidavits overseas and all info was sent just 3 to 4 days from deadline and she told me that she had to get a permit called FIAT at court (obviously more time and rest you know). Also, once I had sent an affidavit through FEDEX, guess what this office was not opened at 9AM (Affidavit Deadline submission day) and had to call her and charged me for informing that nobody was at office and was on the way. Anyhow, hearing day came, and counterpart filed info after deadlines and it was accepted by court and not refuted by my lawyer, Beautiful isn´t? second the most important info was not seen by court (notarized info sent) including government fraud using my child by counterpart, third I paid all house expenses of my counterpart for 1.5 years, paid for he education during 1 year and all this info was not recognized or even brought up at court and lawyer did not even mid mention it. Well result, spousal support for 7 years and retroactive for year and half, child rights gone, high child support, for court I ran away and did not consider my relatives’ situation. End of exercise with the new order, because there was a high debt, MEP took away my passport, intervene my accounts and emptied it out and lock them because I do not have money to pay full amount. Because I don´t have money, my child pretty much it´s been kidnapped legally by my counterpart and support of court and negligence. Beautiful job Igras Lawyer. I inform all of this to Mr. Igras and said that he was going to review it and after 3 months, I am still waiting. Just be careful when you make a choice, we all know lawyers don´t care you case and they are playing with your life and future.

Without a doubt the worst family law office I’ve ever dealt with. They are quick to take a retainer, but slow with everything else. I had decided to withdraw from them representing me only to discover after a short 1.5 weeks of their so called “help” a full $1,500 retainer gone with nothing to show for it. AND.... that’s not ALL!!! I later received a email stating I owe more money! And if I don’t pay it they are going To send it to collections!!!!! (I’m of maternity leave) As I read the comments, it looks as thogh I’m not the only one that feels this way towards this firm.

My very recent personal experience with the lawyer Rahima Shariff. Worst lawyer in town I do not recommend her to be your first lawyer. Very unexperienced and takes too long to read and write emails which cost a lot. I basically had to pull the file because she couldn’t even get me a child custody and visitation rights. How are the rates are low but she charges way too much hours needed to be put in file. I would rate her zero*. What a waste of money. Plain and simple will try to make your case longer than it is. Most of the time and felt like she’s working from the opponents side not mine. Almost paid five grand and did not get anything done basically.

Overall I am pleased with the outcome of my case. After many offers, affidavits and several hearings I got most of what I wanted. Waldemar was not my first lawyer but I would definitely use him again. Hopefully I will never have to. He was not cheap but not expensive compared to what some of my friends paid for their divorces.He was quick and consistent. Always available, responded quickly most of the time and handled emergencies well. He even met with me on a weekend to work on an urgent Affidavit. Highly motivated by urgency, payment of his fees and wanting to win. He asked for what I wanted but when asking didn't do it he did not shy away from going to court where he did well. Tip for anyone separating - if your ex is unreadable, offers and negotiation will only take you so far so don't delay. Good with children issues, support and property. He did have a way of making me view my situations in new ways which I never though of before. Hard working when he needed to be. Good personality. Good outlook on life which improved significantly after my final payment out of the settlement.I have referred a friend to him and would again. To anyone going through a tough divorce - there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Mani and his team were fantastic in helping us close our Home sale. They were attentive to our questions and very prompt in getting us responses. Mani was very knowledgeable in some of the finer aspects of Real Estate Law. There was a situation that arose over the holidays where our mortgage bank did not receive the closing funds for the sale of the house due to an error on the Fedex delivery driver. We were charged two extra mortgage payments erroneously. I called Mani and to my dismay his offices were closed for the holidays. After a quick email, Mani responded on the phone and said he would look into it. Within the next hour, he had figured out what went wrong and promised to rectify it quickly. Over the next day, Mani and Tasha(Mani's fantastic Legal Aide) had resolved the issue and informed me the refund would be in my account in the next few days.
